Thanks Steven, I have been a fan since 76. I love being able to talk with our fans who respect different opinions and don't get all emotional. Be sure to check out all episodes... looks like we are going to try for one a week.
Mitch is the role of the blind fan boy, who loves nearly everything they do and is very devote in his passion... yet willing to discuss without anger. Thanks for listening, we really appreciate it.
Completely agree with what has been said. Paul Stanley is the heart and soul of the band. He's got the greatest voice of 'm all ànd he's the most gifted & versatile songwriter. No competition.
Just discovered this show yesterday been eating it up.. its nice to finally see a forum for civilized discussions about one of my favorite groups of all time
Paul is more than just a lead singer, he is a front man, a entertainer... that is what makes a great lead vocalist for me. None of the other members have that, even Gene.
They have basically answered that... yes. G&P have gone on record saying they won't do this forever and they can see KISS continuing with them. If they do that, I will decide at that point if I support the band. I currently have not seen KISS live since 2008 for three reasons... setlist, stageshow and Paul's vocals.
I agree with most of your comments, Paul and Peter being my two favorite vocalists in the band. I have never listened to Eric Singer on vocals, now I am intrigued and will be looking for video to give him a listen. Great episode guys, as always.
You guys simply rock!! You made me rediscover KISS! You have so much knowledge when it comes to Kiss and music in general, and the most important thing, your discussions are really profound!
I personally think "Talk To Me" is one of Ace's finest KISS songs, vocally and musically. Peter's "Easy Thing" and "Don't You Let Me Down" are also perfect for Peter's voice.
Can we please have an entire show on the hypothetical topic of Paul's replacement? Each of you individually come up with 3 singer/guitarist/frontman you could see filling Paul's boots. Then, you debate the pros/cons of each and settle on a group decision for top 1, 2, and 3.
Love this channel~ 'TWO Sides Of The Coin' is playing in my mind as I am watching you. This will probably get me thrown out of the KISS Army, but Unmasked is my favorite KISS album~ hope you guys can come out to Las Vegas and play KISS mini golf~
The fact is the Reunion tour is the highest grossing Kiss tour to date so that proves the majority of Kiss fans want the original lineup!! I love Kiss and I want them to go out on top. I know that time is running out for them and I personally believe that even if they just put Ace back in the lineup it would make a huge difference in how they are perceived. I know everyone has different opinions about the lineup but I really believe if they don't change they won't go out the best they can!
I concur...here's the difference, Peter said, "When the show was over, Tom came back to our dressing room, but Ace had passed out on the couch. “Great show, guys,” he said. “Everybody on the staff is still laughing.” He shook our hands. “And tell Ace when he wakes up that I love him. He was great.” Ace said, "After the interview, Tom came back to my dressing room and we shook hands and had another good laugh. I thought he was very genuine, and he seemed to really enjoy the experience. LOL!
When I first got Sonic Boom and heard "When Lightning Strikes," I had this thought about Tommy's vocals. I think he sounds a bit like Joe Perry's vocals, if Joe sang at his absolute best.
I guess since im younger, i really enjoy seeing kiss bringing out their classics they did with peter criss and ace, and i like thayer try to be like ace, just my opinion though
I would even question the majority of fans. You really don't know that. I respect that is how you feel. You also don't know that it would sell more tickets than the current lineup... all just your personal speculation, nothing based on fact.
A screamer, no. Yes he can sing loud... but not screaming. He has more soul a rougher voice... which is great. I do think his vocals and drumming style added a unique feel to early KISS for sure.
I'm not speaking for ALL Kiss fans. Like I've already said we can go back and forth with this and never agree, but I think if Kiss comes to their senses and does another tour with Ace and Peter or just Ace, my opinion will become a fact. I have enjoyed my discussion with you and I will continue to watch your show. Hopefully there will be something that we can agree on.
It's time for Kiss to do what's right for their fans and band members. The original band needs to reunite for a REAL Farewell Tour before it's to late!! It needs to be a tour where all Kiss fans will be pleased!! Let Ace and Peter sing more songs that will please their fans and help Paul out on vocals. It would also change the song list that has been worn out. We deserve this as do the original band. Go out in Kiss style. YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD KISS!!!
Thanks Billy... I am in Sausalito. I agree about Tommy and Eric, just don't see it happening. Fans at the shows want to hear the songs they know, song by the character they remember. They don't care nearly as much about the person under the makeup.
In 2011, I saw KISS in Newfoundland and Paul was struggling. He let out a yelp that even hurt my throat. And I thought, 'so early in the night, to wreck your voice like that?' In some numbers Paul had his back to the audience and I think he was trying to let Eric know that he was losing his voice. There were numbers with entire verses lost until Eric and Gene caught on. During Dr. Love, Paul disappeared completely. Gene carried his portion of the show. Eric and Tommy saved the rest.
hi guys just found your show today- I really like it - the 3 of you are huge kiss fans, as am I - that being said, I would love to hear a show on your opinion on pauls voice issues, at 60 it's just not there anymore -
A follow up to my post before that "...In all fairness, Gene (2 albums, no solo tours) or Paul (2/1) have not toured solo or put out the number of solo albums as much as Ace (4/unknown) or Peter (4/unknown) not counting the '78 solo albums."
Well, I should have said the majority of Kiss fans would want to see the original lineup back together before it's to late. I know people have different opinions of the lineup but I know which lineup would sell the most tickets!!!
Mike. This is me Terri. This show was amazing. You three did a great job.You all didn't say much that I did NOT agree with. I mean, I totally agree that the band could do things to help Paul save his voice. My question is thought, WHY don't they do them?
I really enjoyed this. I was wondering if you guys had opinions on the very early Gene voice (first album and Hotter) and how the cookie-monster voice slowly started taking over, starting, I believe, with the song Two Timer on Dressed to Kill.
I have! I did make a comment to the one your did in regard to the autobiographies. It was about how Peter's story about what happened after the infamous "Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder" interview was different than Aces. Thought you'd jump on that one. Maybe you didn't see it...
For their next album, I'd like to hear at least 2 lead vocals from both Eric and Tommy. Eric could probably do more because he's a pretty good singer. I know Tommy is not a true lead vocalists but I like the idea of four singers.
If you want to hear Bruce on a up beat rock song. Listen to "Fate" off of BK3. Or just listen to the whole album. Also, how long can UA-cam vids be now? Because I want to start my own KISS show.
Its rare that an ex-member come anywhere close to half the success of their famed band of origin (exception maybe Ozzy and Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio) but Frehley's Comet did play Hammersmith Odeon, London on March 19 1988. In all fairness, Gene (2 albums, no solo tours) or Paul (2/1) have not toured solo or put out the number of solo albums as much as Ace (4/unknown) or Peter (4/unknown) not counting the '78 solo albums.
And that works for you, but not me. Stewart, John and Jagger have never been favs of mine. I respect their talent and style, I just don't put them at the top. Jagger and the Stones especially I could do without.
Andy thank you for watching. We are all excited that we are connecting with fans like this.
Thank you Dave, that means alot to us... we are just 3 fans hanging out together and chatting about one of our favorite bands.
I will always tell someone who has not experienced a KISS show to go! You will love it.
Completely agree with what has been said. Paul Stanley is the heart and soul of the band.
He's got the greatest voice of 'm all ànd he's the most gifted & versatile songwriter. No competition.
Thank you for watching. Merry KISSmas to you as well.
Just discovered this show yesterday been eating it up.. its nice to finally see a forum for civilized discussions about one of my favorite groups of all time
I always like watching these episodes, it's always good to hear what these guys have to say.
Gene's vocals on his 1978 Kiss solo album are amazing! His vocals on the song "Always Near You/Nowhere to Hide" is brilliant.
Thanks Robert hope you enjoy all the other shows.
I've been a fan since '75 and it's refreshing to hear fellow fans perspectives...thank you!
Eric saves Paul's life with his vocals now.
Paul is more than just a lead singer, he is a front man, a entertainer... that is what makes a great lead vocalist for me. None of the other members have that, even Gene.
Thank you. I am going to be in Vegas 1/5-9 and plan on stopping by the mini golf.
They have basically answered that... yes. G&P have gone on record saying they won't do this forever and they can see KISS continuing with them. If they do that, I will decide at that point if I support the band. I currently have not seen KISS live since 2008 for three reasons... setlist, stageshow and Paul's vocals.
I will admit that Gene really surprised me on Sonic Boom and Monster, the best stuff he has done in a LONG time.
Yes, I added the link to the video description.
Good on ya Mike! I've been a KISS fan since 76, you guys are doing an excellent job! Keep it up!!!
Thanks so much for watching!
I agree with most of your comments, Paul and Peter being my two favorite vocalists in the band.

Thanks for watching Daniel.
This wasn't about discussing every song that each person sang. There is no slight because we didn't mention a particular song.
Came across these UA-cam videos and I'm looking forward to catching up on back podcasts. Great stuff!
Can we please have an entire show on the hypothetical topic of Paul's replacement? Each of you individually come up with 3 singer/guitarist/frontman you could see filling Paul's boots. Then, you debate the pros/cons of each and settle on a group decision for top 1, 2, and 3.

LOL!
Thank you Donny!
Id love too see KISS play shock me every concert - Thayer puts a great effort into shock me
Thank you Warren!
Thank you Ethan.
Yep, Mitch produced that album... great tribute CD.
Yes it was amazing.
You can hear Vinnie's vocals on all the early Warrior demos right before he joined Kiss. I love his vocals... kind of a mixture of Ace and Gene's.
Ace wrote Strange ways and Peter sang it.
Very much so.
When I first got Sonic Boom and heard "When Lightning Strikes," I had this thought about Tommy's vocals. I think he sounds a bit like Joe Perry's vocals, if Joe sang at his absolute best.
I think for me it is the difference between singing lead and being a lead vocalist. Paul is a lead vocalist. The others can sing lead.
im from the uk in wales love your show great stuff
Thanks!
Can we expect collaborative work from Gene and Paul outside of KISS and each other with other musicians.
They just did it.
Good question, but really only the band can ask and answer that.
Thanks Terri. Not sure, maybe that would mean admitting there is a problem.
Thanks guys, enjoying these.
Gina how can you say that is right for ALL fans and that ALL fans will be pleased. There are plenty of fans who don't want to see A&P return.
eric singer singing hard luck woman or baby driver would be awesome
I guess since im younger, i really enjoy seeing kiss bringing out their classics they did with peter criss and ace, and i like thayer try to be like ace, just my opinion though

This is my order for the solo albums : Peter, Ace, Paul, Gene....
Tommy sounds like he's imitating Gene on Lightning Strikes to me.
originally i thought it was gene singing actually xD
"Hate" is a great song....I would love to hear "The Devil is Me" live as well.
Not sure there is a limit on them now. They recently lifted the 15 minute max for me.
I'm not speaking for ALL Kiss fans. Like I've already said we can go back and forth with this and never agree, but I think if Kiss comes to their senses and does another tour with Ace and Peter or just Ace, my opinion will become a fact. Vinnie sings co-lead vocals on "Back On The Streets" on the first Vinnie Vincent Invasion album.
Paul sang Not for the innocent GREAT on the demo
I agree with that for sure. I enjoyed it when they found the right mix
It's time for Kiss to do what's right for their fans and band members. The original band needs to reunite for a REAL Farewell Tour before it's to late!! Tommy and Eric are both awesome singers !
That was a long time ago.
Thanks Billy... I am in Sausalito. I agree about Tommy and Eric, just don't see it happening. Fans at the shows want to hear the songs they know, song by the character they remember. They don't care nearly as much about the person under the makeup.
Robert... thank you. Could I ask how you found the show? We have discussed Paul's voice in a earlier episode. I agree with you, it seems to be gone.
KISS Forever ! good one boys
In 2011, I saw KISS in Newfoundland and Paul was struggling. He let out a yelp that even hurt my throat. And I thought, 'so early in the night, to wreck your voice like that?' For me anyone can sing a song... if the song is strong and their vocals are strong. I don't ever want to have some sing just because they should.
Do an episode on best & worst Kiss songs on each album chronologically.
well, Tommy is now singin Outta this World
Episode idea: KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park
hi guys just found your show today- I really like it - the 3 of you are huge kiss fans, as am I - that being said, I would love to hear a show on your opinion on pauls voice issues, at 60 it's just not there anymore -
Thanks for the support. I think that is the correct order and Mitch is wrong! (Tommy)
A follow up to my post before that "...In all fairness, Gene (2 albums, no solo tours) or Paul (2/1) have not toured solo or put out the number of solo albums as much as Ace (4/unknown) or Peter (4/unknown) not counting the '78 solo albums."

Also Paul sounds great on hard luck women he sung it on mtv unplugged
With Eric Carr listen to some of his demos, you hear what a great voice he has. And I prefer his version of Beth.
I agree Billy. I with Tommy would be able to sing his songs and drop Shock Me (Tommy)
The Clarences love & support Three Sides Of The Coin!
Never... musical taste is personal to each person. My taste in music is only perfect for me.
the best question asked...should the band continue.....I have been asking that since 1978
Paul might have the best rockstar vox ever
At brief glance, Peter seems to have toured twice, Ace at least four times.
I have! I did make a comment to the one your did in regard to the autobiographies. It was about how Peter's story about what happened after the infamous "Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder" interview was different than Aces. Thought you'd jump on that one. Maybe you didn't see it...
I think that is probably the best comment I have seen, lol.
Hell yeah! (Tommy)
For their next album, I'd like to hear at least 2 lead vocals from both Eric and Tommy. Eric could probably do more because he's a pretty good singer. I know Tommy is not a true lead vocalists but I like the idea of four singers.
Sure, they have put out many more albums and tours as KISS than A&P did as solo.
Paul is great live. Agree with you 3. All he needs to do is cut out the extra "woo-woo's" & "oh yeah's".
If you want to hear Bruce on a up beat rock song. Listen to "Fate" off of BK3. Or just listen to the whole album. Also, how long can UA-cam vids be now? Because I want to start my own KISS show.

Y'all are good!!
And that works for you, but not me. Stewart, John and Jagger have never been favs of mine. I respect their talent and style, I just don't put them at the top. Jagger and the Stones especially I could do without.
I would say
Paul. Ace, Peter, and then Gene
The guy in the middle is right. Paul Stanley is THE BEST frontman of all time...bar none!!!!
