Love your video! Just a few notes from a backer of this game. 1. At over 500,000 km², the Archipelago is a little bit bigger than California, not quite the whole world. 2. Similar to the Kingdom Come Deliverance Kickstarter, this Kickstarter is intended to raise money for the next year of development while they search for a publisher to help fund the rest of development. There is the potential risk that the devs do not find a publisher and in such a scenario, they may have to scale back on their intended vision or take a much longer amount of time to complete the game. 3. The Early Access build of the game will have 2 playable races, a handful of factions, and a basic magic and spellcrafting system. Additionally, only the starter island, which will be about 3-4 times the size of Skyrim's map, will be playable. Additional content will be included in the Early Access build as well depending on the success of the Kickstarter.

If Bethesda is continuing their current direction..The Wayward Realms might beat it. Especially if the actual game launch is before Elder Scrolls VI and the game is in much better state than Bethesda's games usually are at launch. Also, due to all Fallout hype, it looks like Bethesda probably will further postpone Elder Scrolls VI and instead allocate resources to new Fallout games. Since Bethesda probably will launch more Skyrim remasters.. I think this will be a good opportunity for Wayward Realms to sate a lot of that hunger for Elder Scrolls VI. I don't think Avowed will fill that need properly, it could to a small degree, but it probably will be too different from the Elder Scrolls formula. Since Obsidian go for a very compelling main quest. Elder Scrolls formula is about not doing the main quest and do everything else. Since Wayward Realms won't have a main quest.. it will fill that explorative needs of Elder Scrolls fans.
Absolutely, and I love that Wayward Realms is going that course for the main factor of roleplaying. You play Skyrim and you HAVE TO BE THE DRAGONBORN, no matter what route you take, you ARE the Dragonborn and you have no choice. So after probably 100 playthroughs, you get really bored and sick of that title 🤣 - Devon
@@ThePixelPerfectYT Yeah, with Skyrim, you have to endure starting Dragon Attack -> Riverwood -> whiterun -> mountain to unlock all the feature. Which is probably a reason I'm so tired with Skyrim. Oblivion and Morrowind is more exciting.. and ofcourse, Daggerfall as well. A game that lets you just go any direction you want and explore. Would be great. But it is also great that they do have optional starting quests you can choose from too. For people who wants some initial pointers or tutorials. I hope OnceLost will pull this off and make the ultimate RPG ever existed.
