I also have a 2 door Jeep and pull a camper similar to yours. I opted for the Propex propane heater over a diesel after watching others struggle with the diesel heaters carbon fouling and the smell of diesel from spills or just off gassing and giving people headaches. Propex is much more expensive but in the long run I think I’ll be better off. Installed it in aluminum truck box on the camper tongue where you have the pan.

I have also heard that the Propex heaters run a lot better in extreme cold (-20f/-35f) as there is no diesel to gel. Definitely an option.
