wow! you've only been here about a week longer than me and so many great things have happened! I had joined groups long before I came, watched lots of videos like yours, and I couldn't believe my first week here I had a plan with new friends almost everyday. I've really been enjoying myself, exploring, took a little 3 day getaway already, about to move into my own house and ready to get back to creating art. That's exciting about your mom going off all those medications. I'm on some of those, and I'm hoping my new life will result in me being able to go off many of mine too. After the stresses of outlandish rent prices in Los Angeles so much weight has lifted off my shoulders already. I love the parks too and the live music going on there. Great to see so many people just loving life here. And Cartess, your laugh cracks me up. I love it.

my sister works in a chicken plant, injecting the chicks so that they grow, in 10 days they were already big, sometimes they grew too much that they could no longer be used

As for us we were going to move in March but we didn’t want to wait any longer. It’s getting too crazy here in the United States.

Hi Nikki, good to watch the video. I have been here for 8 months and I love it. I agree with everything you say. You have to get out and ask questions about things you don't know. I wanted to to go to the casino and I didn't know how to maneuver in Spanish. But I decided to just go and ask questions and as you said the locals are very helpful if you ask. Now I know how to use the machines.
u might have to show me how to use those machines. I walked in there and was confused and left lol ... I said i'd come back when my spanish game was a lil better, lol...

I adored this video! I'm sitting here in the hospital bed crying. I want to get out of here so bad. Could you folks share about oncologist there in Merida/Mexico? By trade I'm an advanced skin and spa therapist. I'd love to come visit and see if I could set up a spa business. I will be subscribing to Tia Nikkis channel too. I love your energy and wisdom. This is no longer serving me. I have a 22 yr old GOD sent daughter..I'm doing this for US.

Just a little heads up, maybe not a good idea to advertise or encourage people coming from abroad to work ( braid hair for money) in Mexico, that can get people kicked out of the country.
They can on the other hand, apply for a working visa and start a very lucrative business
I saw that meat special and now WE here in the states are just finding out that they are /have been putting bugs in canned and prepackaged foods. I have a garden now and they are things with seeds....I'm so ready to get there!

what pharmacy do you use in Merida? I've been to several different when I vacation there and find products and prices vary a lot, I'm interested in prescriptions, I already have the MD written prescription

Prices do can vary. For most, I buy from Emerita. They seem to have the best prices on most. Although on some, I have to shop elsewhere. My go to pharmacy is Bazaar and Similares (bigger discounts on Monday with this pharmacy).

Just FYI, you can look up proper pronunciation on the web - just type "pronounce tranquilo" "pronounce naranja" because she didn't pronounce them right.
Duolingo is good for learning Spanish and listening to pronunciation from various people. That young girl is hard to understand because she speaks so fast but it's good to hear how fast people might be speaking.
What does it take to get started. So many questions to ask and planning requirements. How! Where! Please need assistance
