Dekel got called twice for bad serves against Lucy and Matt. On the first serve of the game and later on a challenge. He was challenged a third time but was not given a fault. Also, it's been more than year since Salome has been making bad calls
Ref said he didn't see the first out call at 10-9 for match. Said he was blocked review clearly showed he was not blocked from call. Ball was clearly in for game over. Gives ball back to Parris at 9-10 and Parris call it out again on clear line call in. Ref this time overrule. Gives ball back to Salome and wins 11-9. Maybe Slome booed Parris because of Parris screaming directly at her the entire last game.
Tyler seems like a great guy! It's hard to understand why anyone would criticize a professional pickleball player unless they're incredibly skilled themselves. Critics often emerge when you're achieving success. Go Tyler! It's time to rock some pickleball gangsta gear OG!
Congrats to Tyler. Also, Jimmy, your line about Big H's hands was great. But, why are you calling people names for wearing glasses? Take off that freaking hat and wear something other than a hoodie! One thing I learned about glasses from playing baseball is to wear non polarized lenses. I wear Oakley glasses with the Prizm Field lens. Polarized lenses make it difficult to track a moving ball.
"Reduce the paddles by 20-30%" ... who are you kidding. We can't even get cross organization standards for paddles. We can't get consistent testing across organizations. We can't get transparency of testing and testing results. We can't get QC levels to ensure consistency between 2 different paddles of the same make/model. We can't get USAP to stop manufacturers from changing models after the model has been approved. And we can't get any serious ramifications/penalties for any person or company violating any of the paddle standards/rules. Until you have all of this it's moot to talk about limiting or reducing paddles. And most pros are only interesting in enforcing rules when it's not their paddle.
Alshon/Wilson vs Garnett/Loong - This match was very fun to watch! Athleticism on was on full display! Quite a refreshing change from the John(s) slow and methodical style. I hope this is where Pro Men's doubles is headed, as it would compete nicely against Female doubles (which is the top for spectators).
you guys said Duong lobs are by far the best in the game. You have not seen mine. I disagree....LOL I am PICKLE DADDY in Jacksonville FL. But in Tennis I have the best drops in the game...
Do you think Riley watched Wilson/Alshon take the gold? Wonder what’s going thru his head …. Wilson wins with a new partner and Riley is relegated to MLP.
I enjoyed the tournament for the different match ups and most all the games were very competitive. I don’t have a favorite “style” of play I prefer as I’m amazed at all the different shots and strategies being used be it dinking, drives, etc. nothing against Ben or Anna Lee but when they are not in a tournament I enjoy seeing who rises to the top. It was great tournament play all around.
Are bad ball bounces from the court or is it from the ball hitting a spot that’s slightly warped? Even if it’s little mis-shaped wouldn’t that change how it bounces?
Good question... tough to say... I think GENERALLY, it would be from the ball, but this venue in MN, has been known to have pretty bad bounces, so could be a combination.
I attended my first PPA event this past weekend in Lakeville, MN. Had tons of fun! The quality of play was very entertaining and I really enjoyed being able to see EVERYONE compete in person. 🫶
57:16 the Vulcan VPro bag is excellent. The Joola pro tour bag, in comparison, is complete garbage! I had it for a few months last year and the side pockets will dump out everything in them if you hang the bag on a fence and open them. 75% of the edges of the bag frayed with very light use. In summary, it is a terrible design and poor quality. I’ve had the VPro bag for 4 months and absolutely no complaints. Holds a ton of stuff. Super functional. Well made. No signs of wear.
31:18 I agree about the false sense of security with glasses. Similar to helmets in football being used as weapons, instead of just protection, I think people will be less cautious and go for speedups/body bags even more.
Your question at 1:28:00 "What percentage of points are won when all 4 players are at the net". Not sure what you mean by that. Is this another way of asking "How often does the serving team win a point when the serving team makes it up to the net", ie is the focus on the serving team in this question?
Jack should not play left when playing with established left side male players like julian, he needs to learn from alshon, do some right side for a few tournaments and learn
Supposedly ALW is somewhat injured so she pulled out of singles. Since she’s playing the other 2 events injured this “should” be the easiest time to beat her and CP.
Jilly B … she tries to “expose” the dirty underworld of PB. Problem is she is crossing the line into libel and slander. She did a podcast about alleged sexual harassment and used documents that were clearly confidential. When you bite the hand that feeds you, there are consequences.
Sure, I think thats a risk in almost every sport and possibly in life.. in Tennis... Basketball... pingpong... many sports fit this as well but glasses aren't required.
why are you still giving alan a hard time over one call that he was correct about? ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkxf4yiAX3YVbfVrTOqQ1XgoJYUEF7oBG-o?si=9YYMAYR2mEIM8ylR Lea saying that alan made this call for "tv time" is ridiculous haha.
“He’s 18 without a girlfriend. He has fast hands” 😂
Insanity

Thanks! Always fun to see a mixup from the norm.
Congrats Tyler on your past tournament. Fun to watch
Thank you thank you!
Yes, an amazing game! Congratulations 🥳🎉!
Kudos to Salome 🎉
Drop serve eliminates the possibility of illegal serves. In my opinion this should be looked at in the future.
many people have alluded to this... will be interesting to see what/if any changes they make.
you guys said Duong lobs are by far the best in the game. You have not seen mine. I disagree....LOL

Not sure about TW being in top 5 for mixed when he had ALW in MLP and didn’t do much. Andrei D is up there.
Thomas Wilson is a super nice guy. So fit Ty Bravov 🎉
Congrats on the silver. Very gritty. Been following you for awhile as I’m also a lefty so I learn lefty strategy specifically watching you. Cheers.
What’s wrong with looking like a librarian?!🤓📚🙌
We love librarians :)
Great tournament and congratulations Tyler for awesome play!
Appreciate it, thanks!
rachel’s glasses were prescription. said she has astigmatism so the indoor lights look diff btn glasses and contacts
Good to know, thanks.
PPA Indoor Championships
36:26 Men's Doubles
52:45 Women's Doubles
Very happy to see you playing with great partners!!
Thank you thanks! It's always fun with great partners!
Do you think Riley watched Wilson/Alshon take the gold? Wonder what’s going thru his head …. Wilson wins with a new partner and Riley is relegated to MLP.
We'll need to get him on the pod haha.
Tyler, you and Connor were great this past weekend! More of that!!
Hoping so! Thanks!
Bouchard needs to be booted to the qualifying rounds.
Yes partners matter !! I'm left handed and your only as good as your partner
Congrats Tyler, hope you continue to work hard. Winning is a choice. Do what it takes to beat the people that drill.
Thanks for watching!

I think change or new matchups are always fun! Thanks for watching.

You played awesome Tyler , So fun to watch!! Congratulations 🎉
That Baldie Jimmy should NEVER say anything to Tyler about his hair until he takes that stupid cap off and shows the world his bald head!!!
Congratulations on your silver in minnesota. Well deserved. Always say you can make deep runs with a quality partner. Good luck in Austin,
Great POD as always! Congratulations Tyler!!!
Thanks for watching as always! :)

Love to hear it. Thanks for watching!
Everyone is getting sponsored to wear glasses !
Congratulations on your success, it's a nice start. Keep working hard , and see if you can keep it going. 😊
Lakeville PPA was the best I have ever seen Tyler Loong play. Congrats Tyler
Thank you!
How about Jack Sock in the final 8?
57:16 the Vulcan VPro bag is excellent.

Thanks for the feedback
Yes! Way to go Tyler!
Question and Anwser: Could Tyler easliy be a stunt double for Keanu Reeves? Yes.
On a ball call in a tournament when in doubt, call it out.
if you're not cheating, you're not trying!
Can we at least know whether memes of pickleball is a pro themself? It’s obviously not a nobody since anonymity wouldn’t matter at that point
CONGRATULATIONS TYLER!!!! Great playing!!! Very happy for you. Love your partnership with Connor Garnett. Hope to see more !!!
likewise!
Jack should never be on left
My wife, not a pickleball player but watches because I put it on the livingroom TV, calls James Ignatowich...Jumpy.
Great job this weekend Tyler! Also, keep up the longer episodes!!!!
31:18 I agree about the false sense of security with glasses. Similar to helmets in football being used as weapons, instead of just protection, I think people will be less cautious and go for speedups/body bags even more.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Pickleball Getaways … if you have to ask how much, you can’t afford it. 😂
PHENOMENAL PLAYING!!!! Pickleball levels are getting higher & higher. Love the evolution of the game.
Seems like every tournament the talent is increasing!

What skill gap do you see as the biggest differentiator between men’s/mixed doubles qualifiers vs main draw players?
AL is not playing singles at Austin.
She was when we recorded this haha!
Tyler with your new paddle going on sale soon, how about a review video? Or have any been provided to any of the paddle reviewer?
Great idea... lets see if I can get one pumped out next week. Thanks for the suggestion.

congrats Tyler!
Thank you!
Kimmie Johnson from Las Vegas - Yo, she’s a 2.5 player 😂😂😂😂
haha
...and a miserable troll. Jimmy is correct. All she does is post negativity and hate.
Who cares how anyone looks with protective eyewear-just sayin
Huge congrats to Tyler
Good run!
Thanks!

love your podcast...think I'm goingtoagree with Jimmy on the hairband though😎
Thanks! We'll see about that :)
Hello Boys, how’s it!
Jilly B … she tries to “expose” the dirty underworld of PB. Problem is she is crossing the line into libel and slander. She did a podcast about alleged sexual harassment and used documents that were clearly confidential. When you bite the hand that feeds you, there are consequences.
You risk retinal detachment and blindness if you don't wear safety glasses
Sure, I think thats a risk in almost every sport and possibly in life.. in Tennis... Basketball... pingpong... many sports fit this as well but glasses aren't required.
👏👏👏👏👏
Anna Leigh is not playing singles, injured
Jimmy no esta aqui
8-0 not 9-0 Jimmy
My wife said rachel looked like mia khalifa with those glasses 😮
dead.
@@morekingofthecourt my answer obviously was “mia who”?
AL isn’t playing singles.
He might not have internet cause he went to Weber State 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I mean, was Jimmy wrong?
@@morekingofthecourt Course not. I went to Nevada-Reno and I’m pretty sure they were in our Division. The name made me laugh.
