    5:26 is breathtaking
side note I still find music too loud compared to your voice (at least 2x difference)

😮 Wow. I'm very impressed by these shots. I have the XF 50f2, and it might be one of the best lenses I've ever used for any system, but I don't use it enough, because I am uncomfortable with the distance and kinda suck with it. This has inspired me to take it out again to try and improve. 👑

Thanks man, yeah it can take a while to get used to these longer focal lengths but since you have the Fuji one you should definitely use it more ;)

Nice video with great shots as always. I think you prefer the 75mm because you tend to shoot scenes the most and not focus one object or one person directly too much. It's definitively an interesting focal lenght to use, your demonstration with the field of views comparisons was perfectly on point

I enjoyed that video. Some interesting statistics as well thanks. I have a 35mm and an 85mm and I seem to be using the 85 less and less these months. However, some of the best interview videos I've shot indoors were using the 85. Regarding photography it is very tight for most situations. I may end up selling mine and getting a 50mm hh.

Thanks for your comment, glad if it can help :) I don't do interviews but I can totally see the 85mm shining in such situations

I had that cheap 50mm F1.8 on a very old dslr (apsc so 75mm equivalent) and I hated it even though I like longer lenses in general, it always felt not narrow enough or too narrow at the same time, it was very frustrating.
Now I use the 55mm and 70-180mm the most (and the 35mm the least), it's way better for me, not perfect obviously but the distinction is clear.
Usually with the 70-180mm you take avantage of it and use it a lot around 120mm and even sometimes it feels not long enough
It's really a personal thing, one day maybe I will pick again a 75 or 85mm and love it, you never know

Sure, everyone's different and has focal lengths that works for them and others that don't

Samyang also makes a 75mm 1.8 for full frame Sony cameras, it is also quite light and cheap. Maybe you could give it a chance, i think that would be an incredible combo with the a7IV

I have the Samyang 75mm/f1.8 in Fuji X and it's great! Fits a niche that got overlooked, great in low light, and awesome for helping to change perspective. Haven't tried it for street photography yet but will give it a go.

I use this lens on my Nikon Zf with Megadap adapter and it’s so light and I’ve got great images with it.

🤣 Yeah "trends". No, a 85mm Lens is a 85mm Lens and a 75mm Lens is a 75mm Lens. That said, do not get "blind" using the same Lenses over and over again. I vary my photography by from time to time change the focal length I use. Most often I go out with two Cameras, one Camera with a wide angle Lens, 14, 21, 24 or 35mm and on the other Camera a short tele Lens 55, 65, 85, 110 or 135mm, so I mix the Lenses in different ways.
