A bit off topic but why Leo doesn't use Cloud on tournaments anymore? Cloud was his main in Smash 4, and Sparg0 has proven how strong Cloud can be in the current meta. I think he could be a great pick for Joker's hardest mu's, so... what's holding him back?
I wish Sakarai would do us all a favor and do one last patch that just strictly nerfed Steve and made him follow the rules of Smash. Steve is the biggest fumble ever made in Smash. Not his inclusion, but his power. Lol
It looked like at game 3 Acola just started using mine cart alot more and Leo stopped punishing it correctly. If he had punished it the same as the first two games, Leo would have had it.
The best player of today vs the best player in history. Can’t wait for everyone to complain about steve, even though leo had beaten acola before with byleth the excuses and hate will go crazy 🔥
I agree. Whatever comes after Smash Ultimate, expect Steve to be brutally nerfed; he'll be floating around the middle of tier-lists. He is just so busted in Ultimate. ... and also, I want to add, he's boring as hell to watch.
Why? So someone else can win just because there are no Steve players? Sounds like a cop out. Many pro players have beaten Steve players, feels a lot better to win a tournament against them vs only winning a tournament just cause there’s no Steve. Also there’s only like 3 Steve players in top level play lol
@@justice8718 Steve is, without question, the best character in the game. He's beatable, yes; no character is unbeatable. But he is the best because he forces each character to play by his rules, to abandon their usual kit in an attempt to stop him from mining, from setting up, from amping himself. But the greatest offense is how boring it is to watch Steve in action. Imagine any other random battle... say, Olimar Vs. Duck Hunt. Bayonetta Vs. Greninja. Potentially dynamic, no two matches being exactly the same. Now consider Bowser Vs. Steve. Peach Vs. Steve. Snake Vs. Steve. Ness Vs. Steve. Every match is the opposing character knocking down blocks that Steve set up, trying to stop him from camping.
I think Leo's deep pockets were working agianst him for awhile, not getting good at any one charachter in specifc. But he seems to be settling on Joker, but the others are still good. I think his charachter choices recently have been spot on with Joker as the default, even this byleth feels like a pick that's at least defendable. Just wish steve was a bit more balanced.
Adding steve and not fixing him does such a disservice to the competive scene. This character is so broken and doesn't mesh well with the game at all. it's like if someone put show accurate saitama in street fighter.
Yeah. People like to forget they added some DLC characters and then never patched them to be balanced in any way before they stopped balancing altogether. It might hurt people's fee-fees but OBJECTIVELY speaking Steve and Kazuya should be permanently banned unless they decide to rise from the dead and patch them.
I think maybe instead of banning Steve, we should ban the use of pokemon stadium/small battlefied when playing Steve. I've noticed a very large percentage of Steve wins come from those two stages. I'm not sure of the numbers exactly, but the win rate for Steve on those stages has to be unreasonably high.

If Leo didn’t choke a 128% lead against hurt & 2-0 against Acola this could’ve been a legendary run
Con esto se ve que leo aun conserva ese gran nivel como competidor
Nice to see Strides on commentary again. Havent heard him in a long time
Mkleoまじでかっこよかった
His Byleth era, first appearance being at the forstbite 2020, is probably his most dominant era in ult.
He. Needs. To. Cook. With. Byleth. Again.
this match was wild omg. ggs to both guys what a match lol.
this is easily one of the best, fun sets I've ever watched!!
I wish Sakarai would do us all a favor and do one last patch that just strictly nerfed Steve and made him follow the rules of Smash. Steve is the biggest fumble ever made in Smash. Not his inclusion, but his power. Lol
VGBootCamp, awesome content keep up the amazing content

After watching this set, god has abandoned us
1:59 Leo sniping a cola out of existence bro that was unbelievable
Leo getting reads and hype galaxy brain plays for his wins, acola relying on overpowered frame data and camping for his
It looked like at game 3 Acola just started using mine cart alot more and Leo stopped punishing it correctly. If he had punished it the same as the first two games, Leo would have had it.
Acola was camping harder and harder in the games and making it tok stressful to play by throwing out blocks everywhere.
One combo to 100% is nuts
14:45 was so disrespectful, you can see the spark in Leo’s eyes left after game 3 😆
Zomba, Tweek, Leo, Light, Acola. These are the only goats of smash
Hurt,Miya,Spargo,Snow,Zackray >>>>>>>
@@Aix-333who tf is snow and hurt
Light is top 10 but not one of the goats of ultimate, Sparg0 and even Sonix have more merits to be there
Damn based off the comments in this set, I think the community is healing 🔥
Whenever MKLeo does well at a major, the community is in a good place
The best player of today vs the best player in history.
Can’t wait for everyone to complain about steve, even though leo had beaten acola before with byleth the excuses and hate will go crazy 🔥
Ban Steve.
@@goe5 Sparg0 and Sonix beating Steve isn’t fun to watch anymore.
I can assure you neither of those two potential matchups you named are any better to watch than Steve
Leo going game 5 against acola twice in a row. Only a matter of time
1:58 what you probably came her for/heard about
I think Leo's deep pockets were working agianst him for awhile, not getting good at any one charachter in specifc. But he seems to be settling on Joker, but the others are still good. I think his charachter choices recently have been spot on with Joker as the default, even this byleth feels like a pick that's at least defendable. Just wish steve was a bit more balanced.
14:48 Did Acola footstool Leo out of an untechable bounce?
Adding steve and not fixing him does such a disservice to the competive scene. This character is so broken and doesn't mesh well with the game at all. it's like if someone put show accurate saitama in street fighter.
Yeah. People like to forget they added some DLC characters and then never patched them to be balanced in any way before they stopped balancing altogether. It might hurt people's fee-fees but OBJECTIVELY speaking Steve and Kazuya should be permanently banned unless they decide to rise from the dead and patch them.
@@bbutcher0812
Kazuya is NOWHERE NEAR troublesome.
Kazuya only won A SINGLE MAJOR and hasn't done it again.
The difference of skills is overwhelming
Ok solo llevo dos minutos de video y leo ha jugado increíblemente bien, vaya jugadón de snipe dios mio leo
11:14 This man is not normal. I dont want to here Leo is washed again. Ive watched many top players break the Crafting Table but this is the first time ive see anyone make it count for more than just costing Acola materials.
レオが大会後にツイートしていた内容は 怒り に焦点が当たっていた。…
That first set has me hesitating on if I prefer Leo's Byleth or Joker
Watching steve play is like watching a casual but its somehow tournament viable
