Thanks, I knew some of this from Google. Had a friend whose father died and he and his wife were somehow made to pay off credit card debt. I told him not to. He did it anyway and it stressed him waaaay out.
In the uk credit card debts must be paid from the estate of the deceased. If there is insufficient then, is there another name on the credit card ?. If yes then they are liable for the rest of the debt. If they cannot meet the debt there is little the Credit card company can do. Other family members are NOT liable to meet the debt.

In Florida state does one send estate credit card debt collector a letter stating, no funds in estate?
