So grateful for your informative videos. My son and I are installing this on our acreage to keep the dogs contained to a certain area for their protection. Thanks to your vids, we are so much more equipped to do so. Thanks ☺️
Hey Terry how did you make out? I'm about to get one. Sadly I'm a 25+ year Telco vet and electrician. So I'm nervous that I am going to over think this lol
I did not have any problems with the wiring portion. It’s all the digging I hatted. My wife helped me with covering up the trench after I laid the wire. Pushing the wire into the ground wasn’t as easy as I thought. So I dug down about three inches and about two inches wide. Make sure you wear old pants or have on knee pads. My knees were raw for two days after the work. But anyway, we have our beagle in the area and seems to figure out where not to play. Have fun. P.S. please don’t have your wife help. Things will go a lot quicker.
@@bigbluenationsmith2489 lol Thanks! I'll bribe the Young adult/squatter/college students living with me and leave the wife inside. She's too good at barking orders 🤣 anyways PS The squatters are my kids. Thanks again.
I feel for you brother. Fortunately my two girls are grown and live in different cities. but for the longest time my cell phone was more like an ATM machine. I was serious to about the spouse issue. I’ve always told her she would do really well in the military.
Great video. We have an escape artist for a pup. Thinking about getting a fence round our yard. It's a mixture of lawn and concrete Do you put the wire straight into the ground or put it through conjugate for protection of the wire. Will that reduce the signal strength? Thanks
thanks so much, we are moving and taking our invisible fence with us and I didn't know about twisting the wires, it was the last thing I needed to know. No body else explained that and I was confused about two wires when it only seems one was needed. lol
Great video! I have one question, can I use this system to only block a driveway? I would like to do this because the rest of my house already has a physical fence, just not in the driveway
The short answer is yes, but just be mindful you will have to remove the the dogs collar if you put her in the car if you crossed over the driveway, at least that what I would imagine. I'm going to find out tomorrow when I fire up my system. So, just something to ponder.
Hello, my house is almost the same setting as your the only think is that I buy some in the back that would like to cancel. Do I have to do it all over ??
Lots of good info, I.f. should give you some royalties for explaining it better than the pro's lol! Any advise for distance? Ive got a pretty good size yard, do you need a power booster or a bigger wire or anything? Good job on the vid man
Good video bro. Question....I wonder if the out twist leads....to the loop. If you put that in conduit. Would that be helpful? Another way of asking. Is that signal string enough to escape a mental conduit?
Thanks for for the informative video. I know its a little late, but is there a reason why when you double back on a line they have to be a couple feet away from each other
I'll jump in here, I'm putting one in also. They hv to be couple ft apart or the wires will Cancel the other out. Similar, to twisting the 2 wires together...
@@spamcan9208 thanks, for some reason I thought these where using some kind of R.F. wich had me confused about confused about laying lines on top of each other. Unfortunately invisible fencing wouldn't work with the shape of my yard. Already in the works to put in a visible fence.
I saw one of the manufacturer videos (can't remember the company) say that you can rent a saw that cuts asphalt and make a cut across, bury the wire in the slit and then caulk over it with driveway sealer. But double check everything I said because it's possible I missed something or said something wrong.
In our sport dog manual it shows a walk behind asphalt/concrete cutter machine. I would think a concrete blade on large grinder tool would work, like the kind of grinder if you had to fix plumbing encased in concrete. Both should be available from either a Hope Depot, building supply centre, or machine rental shop.
Thanks for the video! I have a question, can you run the wire along the top of a chain link fence to keep the dog from jumping the fence? My backyard is about a quarter of an acre and it's fenced in and it's also wooded, I want my dog to be able to go to the fence bout not over, thanks again for the video!
You can attach it to a fence but i wouldnt attach it to the top. It might create enough distance on the bottom for a dog to get close and dig out. Attach it towards the bottom, it will beep when they get close so they wont attempt to jump or dig. But be careful when you weed wack!
6:45 "the problem is if you crank it up too much" I'd bet this guy knows ALL ABOUT that... The 1st step is admitting that you have a problem... Crystal meth is a helluva drug.
Your video is way more understanding than all the rest I have looked at thank.
This was the third video I watched for the fence and exactly what I needed. Thanks.

Awesome 👌 video. Best explained how-to video out there.
Now catch your breath and have a beer.
Love the energy man. Cheers
Thank you so much! Great explanation for trickier containment needs.
We just received our invisible fence today. Going to start in the morning. Thank you for your information. This really help.

Your videos are professional. I’m very surprised that you only have 5 subscribers. Good luck on your channel!! Keep working on it
Just came across this video and saw your comment. He has over 500 subscribers now.
Need this badly guna buy one tomorrow uv really helped hopefully i can do it
Great video! Much appreciated.
Great explanation of how these systems work

Your explanation is better tha. How to install from most of the actual company help videos. Thank you
Hi, very, VERY helpful videos! I have to ask though, why not just use a gas-powered edger instead of a spade?
Very helpful no nonsense video.
Thank you !!! This video was great, will do this
Wow you're beautiful!!
That was a comedy show when you were describing setting the power sensitivity to how close the dog gets to it lol.
That was a great video. I appreciate this information SO MUCH!
Thanks, the double loop thing was confusing in the instructions

Us too, the twisting tip was so helpful! They want 700 to install at my parents house, no way, not after this video!
How can I cancel an area when I am not at the end or beginning of the wires?

Can I combine 2 different (similarly rated) types of wire? (Cost of "Dog Fence Wire" seems pretty expensive🥴).

Very helpful
This guy reminds me of the UPS guy on the old Sat night live
It was mad tv, not SNL, but yes he is like a low key version of the UPS guy.

Cancel the other out. Similar, to twisting the 2 wires together...
Yes, 95% sure that the wires' magnetic fields created as current flows through them can cancel each other out. The collar detects this field to work.

@@PopularAggression I think some might actually use a radio frequency but companies like to be vague about the specs, which is annoying.
DEEERRRPPPP!!
Moron...
How did you ground the unit
Thanks for the helpful vid! Any tips on how to run it across the driveway? Thinking I won't be able to bury it under there ;-)

How do you install a wire across your asphalt driveway?

So if you're only doing a front yard, so double looping, the wires can't go in the same trench?
If you aren’t trying to cancel the signal then they need to be separated into their own trench

what? I didn't do this double loop and it works fine
Very helpful but remember to breathe..giving me anxiety watching this. Looks like you are expecting the cops to kick the door in at any moment. 😂
have you been tweaking?
imagine cutting the wire too short
Swear to God I'm bout to call and cuss my shard plug out...

I know he's not sweating, but it feels... like he's sweating.
Obviously the map's not to scale.. you don't say.. 🤣
No amount of training will reliably keep your dog inside these systems. Eventually they will leave! Also other animals are free to enter the area...
