- Hey friends! Welcome back to the channel. In this video I head back to one of my favorite bottle hunting creeks the day after some heavy rains. To be honest I was expecting a lot more bottles, but I was still very happy with what I found and it was fun to get out and find some cool stuff, enjoy nature, and clean up the creek a little! Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning in. Just so you know, that skateboard that appears in the video is mine hahaha. I parked my car and it's a long way to the creek so I rode my skateboard 😂. Please be aware that I forgot to bring a trash bag or something to haul trash out with this trip, so I apologize for not being able to haul it out. Next time I will have a trash bag! @@tacklebox6331 I do! I find a lot of the ones that say Augusta Block so I don't keep them because they are very common. But I found one recently that said "coaldale" that I kept!

That wine bottle is a really good find. You're right about the age, late 1880s - 1890s. Applied double collar, tooled lip is a dead giveaway. GL&HH

Look how I think it's really cool that you're finding old bottles, but you leaving trash behind you don't think somebody could kill somebody with that broken bottle or a child could cut off half his foot. I'm really surprised that you leave all the trash that you find in the creek. I know you say you take it out, but I we just watched you throw it back. I hope you're doing the right thing. I just didn't happen to have anything to haul it all out with this time unfortunately. Sometimes I just forget to bring a trash bag. I'm sorry 😭. Next time I'll make sure I have something to haul it out with. I can only fit so much when I just have a backpack full of my food/drinks/camera gear. I would hope y'all know me enough by now that I pick up trash when I can 💔

I haven't found Dinosaur fossils yet because they aren't in my area... but one day I will go find them! Hahaha
So do you think somewhere up the creek there is a dump where this stuff is reroading out of? Would it be worth the venture to walk further up to try and find it? Think you can sure up your palms bottle with a little uv resin. Lol of course not in those shoes. Hope it heals fast. 😁

Kyle, I have been a subscriber for only a short time but I really like your videos. You seem to have a great personality that makes your video adventures that much more enjoyable. Question: How do all those bottles, both broken and whole, get in that creek? You may have said so before...
Thank you so much Rose! I am glad you enjoy the videos. The reason there are antique bottles is because I'm the late 1800's - early 1900's there were no regulations on where to dump trash. So creeks and low spots were often used as town dumps, unfortunately. These days trash ends up in the creek for similar reasons.. people's disregard for the environment 😞
Cool embossing on the Royal Palm. The black glass wine bottle looks to have a tooled applied lip, so def blown, prob pre 1900. Does it have a seam, or was it blown in a turn mold?
I love that embossing on the Royal Palm too! There's no seam on the wine bottle so must've been blown in a turn mold!

Hey Kyle, I’ve never heard of Royal Palm soda. Was it citrusy tasting like MT Dew or more like Pepsi. We had/have a Royal Crown Cola here in NC.
Are there any places in CT? Idk where there would be any. There’s woods behind me, but people live there and there’s no water
From what I've heard there's actually better bottle spots in the northeast than what we have down south haha! I would check creeks near old towns when it warms up to start!

So da bottles are out there huh? Sorry for being a bit Late (1800's) with the ridiculous comments, I have been out of this world dizzy and I didn't want to.. wine about it. You'd think I'd have.. bottled up some good comments in the meantime, but unfortunately, I might be a little... rusty... And you might think, did she just (Old Creek) Dump all those puns into one comment? Won't she run out? Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to go.. hunting for more.

I actually do if you go check out some of my other videos! I don't always show it on video, and I don't always have a way to carry it out either. I'm getting better about remembering to bring trash bags lately :)
