“Stay away from my Luz!” First off, love the line. Secondly, since Luz’s name is light in Spanish, it’s like Amity’s saying her mother is a dark cloud and she needs Luz as a her light. (Amity sees Luz as the light of her life 🥰😁)
I have a theory that Odalia is so controlling of Amity because Em and Ed were rebels/problem children. Notice that the two of them are in the illusion track while Odalia was in the Oracle track and Alador was in abomination track. So maybe since Ed and Em were so hard to control so got the hooks in Amity young to ensure she turned out exactly that way Odalia wanted.
Also abusers tend to prefer singling people out. Maybe since ed and em were twins, their immediate loyalties were always to eachother, and Odalia couldnt find a way to get inbetween them to get in either of their heads? So when amity was born Odalia took the opportunity before she could listen to any one else but her?
Funny how Mae Whitman, Amity’s voice actress, voiced Tinker Bell. How did she cope with the fairy pie? Also, her Katara reference is awesome too! Water tribe!
She even gives Katara's whole "I'm watching you" eyes and hand gesture. Somebody's gonna use the "Water Tribe" meme for that scene, somehow...I just KNOW it
I’d like to point out that the Blight parents didn’t learn the “right” lesson here. Even back in Understanding Willow the only reason they interfered with Amity’s social life was to make sure she was more successful. In this episode they only go after Luz and Co because Amity is getting “distracted”. The lesson they learn here isn’t “happiness is better than academic success”, the lesson they learn is “Luz is making Amity stronger” so they decide to let her stick around for Amity’s growth. Not emotional growth, but combative strength. If we learned anything from how Lilith ultimately defeated/captured Eda last season it’s that attachment can be used against you. If the Blight parents realize that Luz could be used AGAINST Amity then they might not be as quick to acquiesce as they were this episode
My big thing is i don't know how much i buy Alador being in on his wife's shit. I honestly wonder if he didn't marry into the Blight family because of how he phrases the comment about Blight's always keeping their promises. Not to mention it honestly seems like Amity takes more him than Odalia. Even when he tells her off he does so in a way that highlights her way of thinking. Your daughter, Coven leader, etc. I just feel like we haven't seen enough of his thoughts and actions to make a sound judgment on where his character lies.
I really hope to see some backstory on Alador…he’s an interesting…mood and it seems he might be unhappy for some of the time by I think he’s also just a quieter character.

I’m of the impression that Alador is not a malicious man; given his obvious proclivity to distraction, I’m more willing to believe, based on my own past form, that he’s simply rolling with the punches because he’s of the mindset, whether consciously or not, that if a rhetoric is parroted at him enough times, he’ll start to believe it because it’s the dominant position rather than his own one. I don’t think he’s too capable of self-actualisation and thus soaks it up from stronger personalities he encounters… But we’re only two episodes in; this is precipitous, even by my standards. Also, I’m quite certain that my celebration at Amity’s “…my Luz!” was enough to supersede the sound barrier.
@ I just see him as a man who has tried in the past and knows it’s pointless to try again He is a terrible parent but only because he had relealised that fighting his wife is a pointless endvour
I love Alador so much. He’s just the parent that doesn’t care and just wants to do his own stuff. Also he’s 100% a Lumity shipper like just look at him here, he’s clearly interested in their relationship 18:26.
What I heard from Amity: "Stay away from the LIGHT (Luz) of my life." Also about the fairies. I didn't feel any guilt at all, in ep 1 of s1 those fairies wants skin. For Luz: "I notice how she looks at me, but I pretend that I don't see~"
My favorite non-Lumity line from this episode was “Edalyn? Are these distress noises or... normal noises?” Also, AMITY SAID NOTHING WHEN LUZ WAS DOWN ON ONE KNEE! I want to believe Alador just knows the right things to say to Odalia to keep her from murdering children, but.... I feel that’s unlikely....
I take Alador pointing out Amity is getting stronger with Luz at school is more him knowing how to get his wife to back off more than him being nefarious himself.
So… interesting theory: Amity’s getting ahold of her blushes, but she saw Luz blushing and realized what that meant, so she lost it again. Also, Alador totally played his wife when he came to rescue Amity, and I love that she didn’t even notice.
Now that season 2A's over, I like to come back to these Lumity episodes and soak in just how little we expected to actually be given in this show. Watching your reaction reminds me how insanely excited I was at just reciprocal blushes! Dana Terrace is a hero
Eda-Stay away from my kid Camila-You'r kid she is my kid Amity-Syay away from my luz Camila-Well I guess luz is not mine or yours Luz-Just in the corner blushing of death.
Yes, Amity had that necklace even in the flashback of "understanding Willow".. She had it since a young age..also notice that her brother and sister does not have it And Mittens is a nickname which even her mom calls her
Idk How To Feel About Odalia calling amity 'mittens' I understand the brother and sister calling her that to like annoy or something, it's just something siblings do ya know but her mom calling her that too? It's kinda weird well to me idk dou
Elijah I gotta say I had the same reaction when Amity said "Stay away from My Luz". I personally said holy shit did I hear that right?! I actually rewinded it a couple times to make sure. I loved that part of the ep and the blushin that came after for the two of them. I think now that Luz was rescued by Amity that Luz in all her obliviousness now realizes that Amity likes her. The parallels between Grom and this ep are pretty striking in the way of who rescued who from a monster. After this ep I can't wait for the library ep to happen!
This episode was filled to the brim with moments that would make you scream in delight... you couldn't have picked a worse time to react to this one. You have amazing self control.
I was waiting to see how you'd react to Amity protecting her Luz. Also I want to add that it's pretty obvious that Alador's cajones are literally owned by his wife. The old tug on the ball and chain.
15:46 Another fun fact about her voice actress: Mae Whitman also voices Tinker Bell from the Disney Fairies movies. That’s why Amity’s full face goes red when blushing or angry 😂 Also, Alador Blight reminds me of Entrapta.
For sister NSAF, and all Lumity Fans!!!!! The first thing that I LOVE so much about Luz and Amity, OR Lumity is when... The first day went Amity's meet Luz in the convention, she's seeing her positive way to be a powerful. In this episode, OMG, the moment she try to save Luz and stand up to her mother, it's was just like..... Amity : Stay away from My Luz! Luz : Amity? Amity : Luz, are you okay? Luz : 😮😳 (I'm so in love with her) Me : (NO WAY!!!!!) LUMITYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the best part... Amity and Luz : (Making eyes contact for 0:005 second) 😳😳 Me : WAIT!!! WHAT ARE YOU TWO JUST DO!!!! This is were both of them start to fall in Love to each other. For Amity and Luz, the first thing they need is take the First Steps and be Positive. This is my favorite reaction video you made, sister. Keep it up making more reaction about Lumity and stay safe. Five Star for you NSAF!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This episode definitely caused me to freak out a little bit. I mean, not only is Luz inspiring Amity to defy her parents, but she's also not as oblivious to Amity's crush on her as we all believed. I feel you, girl, I feel you.
In this episode we notice something unique. Eda is a right brain type: Mostly creative and more prone to artistic/push it altogether and see what sticks approach of learning. Lilith is a left brain type: More analytical with an emphasis on observation and controlled experimentation. When they were younger, Eda's creative mind and natural prodigy status helped her easily, but now its proving to be her hinderance. Where as lilith being less naturally gifted had to focus more on the aspect of studying and working to goals is now thriving. It parallels high school to college transition pretty well. Lot of the straight A students who never had to study for a test in high school find themselves struggling to stay afloat in college. Meanwhile, people who struggled in high school but learned to study and research often find college somewhat easier.
I don't know if Amity *wanted* to be in the Abomination coven, but she *is* very good at it, and I kinda think Odalia would want her to be in the Oracle cover...you know, like Mom... Now both Amity *and* Luz are going to be adorably awkward around each other...;) Remember, Alador was *born* a Blight - Odalia married into it. I think she uses that "a Blight always keeps their word" when it's *beneficial* to her, but he takes it a lot more seriously.
My guess is that she pushed her into the abomination track so she'd be able to take over the technical side of the business one day. Ed and Em's illusion magic might be useful for putting on business presentations but someone needs to develop new products.
Late afterthought: Everyone seems to look at that shot of Alador looking...speculatively at Amity and Luz and class it as "he's shipping them too!" But I think it's probably more he's looking at what his daughter's *doing* to the Abomiton, whose capabilities he *knows,* and being hella-impressed. This fits in with his line "she's getting stronger."
This is only the second ep of the season and and we already have some of the most memorable in this shows history, the character development and reveals are done so superbly and considering we still have 19 ep left of this season we can truly say “we are in for the ride of a lifetime”
Principal Bump just held massive bro energy for me when I saw this, so so cool seeing how much he cares, on a side note when the A/C in the backround cut out I was syked out for a moment thinking something in my place just broke XD
Since it's Father's Day, I give Alador credit. He did stand up for Amity due to seeing her becoming strong enough to protect Luz and breaking free from Odalia's control.
I am SO happy that I can scream in a pillow rn and I'm SO sorry that you couldn't let the feelings out bc I know it's hard and we all love Lumity with all our hearts
Yeah, but why does she pause the episode so often and points out the most unnecessary things like she paused the episode one time just to point out that the music changed. There's no reason to pause for that unless it's relevant to the plot.
@@airtiger4577 well, I think it's nice to see someone paying so much attention to a show that they even notice the slight changes in music, as the soundtrack is a really important part of setting the mood of the scene. I'ts fun when others point out the little things you yourself didn't notice in your first watch of the episode, and especially when the reactor understands the importance of music in these things and gets what's happening a few seconds before it happens. But we’re only two episodes in; this is precipitous, even by my standards.
Also, I’m quite certain that my celebration at Amity’s “…my Luz!” was enough to supersede the sound barrier.
he's faking it,i bet he's part of a anti-Bellos resistence
Yes agree the only thing he won’t abide by is violating the blight code
@ I just see him as a man who has tried in the past and knows it’s pointless to try again
He is a terrible parent but only because he had relealised that fighting his wife is a pointless endvour
@ I am not trying to excuse his actions just explaining them
@ maybe
I love Alador so much. He’s just the parent that doesn’t care and just wants to do his own stuff. Also he’s 100% a Lumity shipper like just look at him here, he’s clearly interested in their relationship 18:26.
HE IS AN ABUSER
@@yuriddler welp NOT ANYMORE
What I heard from Amity: "Stay away from the LIGHT (Luz) of my life."
Also about the fairies. I didn't feel any guilt at all, in ep 1 of s1 those fairies wants skin.
For Luz: "I notice how she looks at me, but I pretend that I don't see~"
I feel like Alador said that coven thing just so Odalia could chill
I mean, he's clearly sick of this drama lol
He obviously doesn’t care honestly I would love for him to stick with amity and go against odalia
My favorite non-Lumity line from this episode was “Edalyn? Are these distress noises or... normal noises?”
Also, AMITY SAID NOTHING WHEN LUZ WAS DOWN ON ONE KNEE!
I want to believe Alador just knows the right things to say to Odalia to keep her from murdering children, but.... I feel that’s unlikely....
I take Alador pointing out Amity is getting stronger with Luz at school is more him knowing how to get his wife to back off more than him being nefarious himself.
Lumity Lumity Lumity!
*whisper* also side Lilith and Hooty friendship.
3:16, 17:04 and 18:41 are the parts where you made me laugh to dead but i can’t scream either, i’m so dead.
"My Luz", maybe possessiveness runs in the Blight family.
I don’t think that’s what that line meant, but whatever
Possessivesesivesivevossessiveness
People who think Alador has ADHD 🤝 People who think Alador has autism
I love how this show is so supportive of the community and makes it more known to kids
Eda-Stay away from my kid
Camila-You'r kid she is my kid
Amity-Syay away from my luz
Camila-Well I guess luz is not mine or yours
Luz-Just in the corner blushing of death.
Yes, Amity had that necklace even in the flashback of "understanding Willow"..
She had it since a young age..also notice that her brother and sister does not have it
And Mittens is a nickname which even her mom calls her
Idk How To Feel About Odalia calling amity 'mittens' I understand the brother and sister calling her that to like annoy or something, it's just something siblings do ya know but her mom calling her that too? It's kinda weird well to me idk dou
@@masterivanna2911 yeah
It's normal for siblings but not for parents

"Stay Away from MY Luz" I lost it when heard that and Saw that next Scene BLUSH!!!!! XD It....IS.....SAILING!!!
18:47 literally me in all the scenes of these two
My mom told me to calm down when she heard me scream when Amity said "My Luz". I didn't calm down.
I honestly love how Alador attempts to throw off his cloak ON STAGE, falls over, gets back up and doesn't even care.
This episode was filled to the brim with moments that would make you scream in delight... you couldn't have picked a worse time to react to this one. You have amazing self control.
Alador is the type of person to be really goofy and funny but can also be really serious and scary at the same time 😀👍
I was waiting to see how you'd react to Amity protecting her Luz. Also I want to add that it's pretty obvious that Alador's cajones are literally owned by his wife. The old tug on the ball and chain.
Elijah: We just got Amity saying--on *Disney Channel*--"Stay away from my Luz!"
Season 2B: Hold my batata
“Oooooh shit”
“Mama sees, mama knows”
STOP🤣✋
15:46 Another fun fact about her voice actress: Mae Whitman also voices Tinker Bell from the Disney Fairies movies. That’s why Amity’s full face goes red when blushing or angry 😂
Also, Alador Blight reminds me of Entrapta.
Huh, he kinda does, just less intense
And also Another fun fact: to all of the HTTYD fans Mae Whitman is also the voice of Heather (girl with black hair)
19:50
Elijah: *Grabs a pillow from out of nowhere and screams into it*
That is literally the entire fandom, RIGHT THERE-
For sister NSAF, and all Lumity Fans!!!!!
Luz : 😮😳 (I'm so in love with her)
Me : (NO WAY!!!!!) LUMITYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the best part...
Amity and Luz : (Making eyes contact for 0:005 second) 😳😳
Me : WAIT!!!
WHEN THEY’RE BLUSHING YOUR REACTIONS ARE PRICELESS
“Okay so we’re back to the Amity blushing, but also she just said they’re very fresh..so..Amity just killed some fairy’s y’all..”
I’m dead😂
My favourite line was "Luz, you fool!"
Stay away from my luz
That part just made me want to scream anyone else. 🤣😭😭😭😭😭
"Running around in cute uniforms?!?! SWEATING!??" Best lumity moment of all time in my opinion xD
I love when not so average fangirl needs a pillow and SCREAMING IN GAY PANIC and another GAY PANIC😂😂😂😂
3:14
No one:
Literally no one:
Me: That's a look, Gabriella
I got the vibe from alidor? when he says the thing about coven head, that he knew that would sway his wifes opinion
Oh girl, you're gonna explode if you can't scream, I just saw you react to the 'My Luz' part and oml, I wouldn't be able to contain myself x3
She already explodes everytime she pauses the episode
This episode definitely caused me to freak out a little bit. I mean, not only is Luz inspiring Amity to defy her parents, but she's also not as oblivious to Amity's crush on her as we all believed. I feel you, girl, I feel you.
I love you and your reactions!!!!!
Edit: also her reaction at 17:04 cracks me up 🤣. It was so me when I first saw this scene!!!
Your reactions are what I do silently inside when I watch this show. Thanks for doing them out loud.
Episode 2: Amity: STAY AWAY FOR MY LUZ
EPISODE FINALE: Luz: ALEJATE DE MI AMIGA (Stay away for my f r i e n d )
More like _aléjate de mi NOVIA_ :D
Stay away from my girl Amity
15:44 AAAAAAND THE MOMENT WITH KORRA AND LIN IN THE FIRST EPISODESS
“Stay away from my Luz” - Amity
i felt the screaming in the pillow too much, please-
When I saw this title I clicked as fast as I could!!!!!!!
I SQUEALED WHEN AMITY AND LUZ BLUSHED AT EACHOTHER
I don't know if Amity *wanted* to be in the Abomination coven, but she *is* very good at it, and I kinda think Odalia would want her to be in the Oracle cover...you know, like Mom...
Now both Amity *and* Luz are going to be adorably awkward around each other...;)
Remember, Alador was *born* a Blight - Odalia married into it. I think she uses that "a Blight always keeps their word" when it's *beneficial* to her, but he takes it a lot more seriously.
I think it was said back in Season One that she joined the coven so that she could "make friends" quite literally, as the tagline at the school says
19:20-19:27
We were not prepared for episode 8 at all 💀
Since it's Father's Day, I give Alador credit. He did stand up for Amity due to seeing her becoming strong enough to protect Luz and breaking free from Odalia's control.
Odelia: what are u doing here?!?!
Me: YOU CALLED HER HERE!!!
And tbh, when you're whatching someone react to things, especially on yt where the copyright things force you to kinda 'ruin' showing the full episode, you should expect that people are gonna pause and comment on the fun little things!
@@catwithfeathers I get the copyright thing, but she doesn't have to pause so much. She could just watch like 30 seconds of a scene and cut out a few scenes ahead of that. I don't even know why I'm here. I'm not even part of the fan base for TOH. But I stay here anyways because... yes?
@@airtiger4577 fair enough, fair enough. Sometimes pausing too much annoys me too, mut ig I just move on and continue my day if it annoys me so much that I don't want to continue the vid ::D everyone has their likes and dislikes yeah yeah, and uhh idk where I was going with this but yeah. And YES it's sometimes so fun to see some reactons of shows you've never seen just beacuse, out of boredom lurking in the internet :DD
@@catwithfeathers Ok, you win.
got to mention that Amity said "The ingredients are FAIRY fresh." which genuinely made me laugh
When Amity said to stay away from HER Luz snot just flew out of my nose and i almost choked on my cheeze-its. Looks like the gays have won!
20:45 the fact how Amity "jumps" on Luz to protect her makes me do more and more gay screams
"Stay away from my Luz!"
Elijah: *Casually combusts*
Amity: I’ve got my eye on you
Gus: abomination coven (water tribe)
Danna said on Reddit that odalia makes amity to dye her hair. She says that odalia like her kids to be color cordoned
Amity: “Stay away from my Luz!”

I think there are many heterosexuals too but, you're right xD
"Luz...she distracts you, confuses you." #OdaliaWeaver

Shouldn't there be a wind/air glyph, at least?
Wind would just be a mixture of fire and ice, given how air pressure works.
Or a lightning glyph!
@@chloejoyhenry3137 That'll be a ice and fire glyph, like Ruby and Sapphire from Steven Universe. Garnet has her electric power 'cause of them.

This is the best reaction of this episode I’ve seen, and I’ve watched way too many reaction videos
Me at 8:57: *le gasp* HEADCANON UNLOCKED!!! Alador having ADHD would be amazing representation and would make a lot of sense. What if, making Abominations are one of the things that Alador’s hyper-fixation applies to. Odalia (his wife) mentions later on that he has spent nights making the final Abomination, he seems to always have Abomination goop on him, and he managed to repair and improve the Abomination that Amity absolutely destroyed, in only a few nights
Do we want to put amity through that
Her father and girlfriend having ADHD
I get the feeling there's bunch of Avatar nerds on the team beyond psyched to work with Meg Whitman.
I’m like addicted to your Lumity reactions in this episode
