Great trip. It will be convenient if there's sleeper train at least one of six etape along this journey, so you can save for accommodation and you still moving even though you sleeping.

Why? Just sitting back and relaxing in a comfortable leather chair while food and drinks are brought to you? My way to travel as well, but I guess you could always opt for a crammed Ryanair flight. Doing it this way you really see something along the way. I wouldn't classify this as hardship in any way 😃

Lovely train ride in the desert in Morocco. Maybe Egypt could do with having a high speed rail line to pass through the desert. It just looks so spectacular.
