Hello. I've a question . I've win 8.1. I've C and D partition. Partition D: has System Volume Information folder and recycle bin. I want to reset pc (to win8.0) ... should I delete D drive files? (There are 2 options. Only c or all drives)

if i click 'just remove my files', then all files for drives (example: c drive, d drive) will still be there and if i click 'fully clean the drive', then everything will be lost including all files from all drives. this means i can keep my important files in my drives and those will be safe. am i right?

my best recommendation is to download Windows same as your edition and version from official Microsoft download page for free,
for activation there are 2 ways: retail keys and built-in keys
retail key you buy windows key from retail shop and you insert it every time you install windows
built-in key came pre-installed on your motherboard when you installed your windows and connect to the internet it will get activated automatically because it is registered already in Microsoft database they use your motherboard ID as activation code.

hey, no worries, if you even select full clean your laptop, it doesn't means your laptop will end-up empty!!!! :)
because this is new feature in windows 10/8.1/8, that allow you to format your laptop without windows installation media
by the way, if you select full clean it will take a few hours so, be patient because this option gonna erase all your data forever I think even if you use recovery program it will be hard(NOT DIFFICULT) to restore your data this option is good if you decided to sell your laptop,

Say my computer is being slowed down by things I didn't intend to download, not necessarily viruses just programs that didn't quite work like I thought they did in the background and I can't figure out how to uninstall them and might even have more than one, will this wipe all that out? Would this essentially be like starting back at square one with the knowledge you have now from your first try?
