You might find it easier to put one o-ring on the pivot before putting it in the shock, also you might want reverse the pivot ball so the large side is out instead on against the frame, doing this will prevent loss of o-rings, they can pop off the small side if they are in the outside.
Not a bad video. I like the tunes in the background. Maybe less elevator music and something more relevant..if possible. Sound effects are always fun too. Throw some color on the walls. Lol
I had some double barrels when they 1st came out. No matter what I did the would bind. Polished the brass tube, tried dry bike chain lube. Nothing worked. I took them off & put them in the junk box. I played with different shocks & decided for the money I’d just use the stock ones.
How you like them so far the have the stock shock double barrel upgrade and it extends a little to much going up hills. I just ordered 2 sets for my c10 and deadbolt.
On the shock Tower where the top screw goes in it should be another hole above it put all your shocks there it will lower the truck's gravity center of gravity
In my opinion it is better to prepare the brass parts before putting them in to the shock, simply put the brass part on the end of your 1,3mm hex and place the O ring on to the bigger flange first. Once done to all parts than insert them in to the shock and put second O ring to the other (smaller) flange. Also, are these oil filled shocks Miguel?
Thats how I assembled my links, o ring first. I got Yeahrun double barrel shock. Basically the same as the Injora ones just with the fake piggyback reservoir on the top like the stock ones. They also came pre-assembled with 3 different strength sets of springs. I used the softest ones but had near to zero sag.
Now that its a few months later, do you still like these shocks? My roommate managed to break the stock ones and I am looking for a cheap alternative to buying stock ones.
Thanks for the clear video on these. Big price difference between the HR and Inj's. Probably come out of the same factory. Any thoughts on how to fix the binding issue? Polishing the tubes? Wax or grease the insides? Thanks! Sub earned!
@@MiguelCortez Yeah. I was thinking that be a good first thing and easy enough to do. Maybe a dry silicone lube would help to and wouldn't attract dirt like a grease would. I like idea the other guy below had about running the shorter stock springs to drop the chassis height but still getting the extended droop. Might be able to affix the shorter spring to the top of the shock to keep it in place so it doesn't get caught in the movement of the extension tubes. CA glue or epoxy might work. Just wish these parts were easier and as cheap to get up here in Canada.
@@MiguelCortez With grease they seem a little sticky, without too bouncy. I guess the oil/grease choice is important. I found Green Slime too thick and All-purpose grease a better solution. Any recommendations?
Sweet!! I have a ultra 24 too I haven’t even touched yet or looked at yet. I’m actually going to build it from ground up. I’m waiting my LGRP portal axles to start my ultra24. When are you going to get it ?
They don't work. They bind up because the machining is rough. They catch as they try to go in and out, and if there is any angle pressure, like in literally any real-life crawling situation, they catch and snag and don't let the suspension move freely. The only way they'll work is if you spend a LOT of time polishing the moving parts to make them move smoothly. Which is probably what the youtubers do before demonstrating them.
Coming back to the hobby after a break is the best!
Welcome back 🍻
@@MiguelCortez I appreciate it bro! 🤙

I have had o rings pop off Hr shocks never Injora surprisingly
Thanks for the comparison/review, just recived a set of these Injora's for my SCX24 custom build!! Dropped you a Sub, Cheers!!

Thanks hahah I’ll definitely change it up a bit
🔥🔥🔥
I like those tweezers ima need to get me a pair
Tweezers definitely help out 👊
Also what I did with mine I put the stock spiting back in so it will sit lower but still have full extension
Good idea 👍 I like it
That's an interesting idea! How has it worked out so far? Still happy with the dble barrels with the short stock springs? Thanks!
Good info 😎

Yeah I have noticed that too after some use :(
The best fix for this is to mount them upside down , they work like a dream when upside down

Not my favorite set of shocks for sure but the do what they were designed to do
@@MiguelCortez what are your favorite?

Yup you can definitely do that too to help out with the lift 👍

That sounds like a good technique, and no there was no oil in the shocks 👍
@@MiguelCortez Got that Miguel, mine were not pre-filled too.

I’d look at something different they do bind a bit 👍
@@MiguelCortez do you have any recommendations under $30? I’m having a hard time verifying any are even good

I heard that others used polish to fix the binding issue 👍

will this shocks work on a wpl c24?
Yes
Did they make your front drive shaft bind up to much? Seems like the angle of the shafts is to much because the massive ride height gain
They actually allowed for too much movement ur right. The shafts disconnected
do you know if they fit on the fms 1:18 scale landcruiser crawler?
Worth a shot
How did you change Springs?
You can unscrew the shocks 👍
Which are your favourite shocks so far and why?
I’m all honesty I really like the stock shocks filled with some grease. Saves money and really is one of the best options 👍

Going to use this deadbolt as the donee chassis

@@24Krawlers i actually have mine too hahahha. building up the deadbolt so i dont have to mess with the ultra 24 chassis after i convert it !
Way to high and stiff
Definitely stiff and raise the height

Great points i don’t get paid by the company just my initial experience 👍
Has anyone messed with the different springs?
🤔🤔
nope,, waste of money
Lol
