Hey!!!!! That is legitimately my binder! Me and my boyfriend, allen mc cartney (at the time) used to work there..and me and him moved bk to Mississippi and i dont know what became of mr richard and his wife. We used to live ontop the cave in our tent and work there and give tour guides!! Wow it is amazing! I always wondered what happened to that binder!!
My family is all through that area. Haworth, Jennings, Campbell's, and Mitchell's. My grandmother's house is about a mile down the road on Indian Cave Rd. Rumor is my grandfather's property had a hidden entrance to the back side of that cave.
That flat on the upper left of the cave entrance by the gate use to be an Indian Burial, not sure if the skeletons have all been excavated or not. The old Indian Cave store use to have a skeleton from that area in it. My Haworth family has been in this area for a long time.
My mothers cousin use to own that land back in the 80's. He had about 4-6 golf carts that would cruise the paths.. I have pictures in family photo albums somewhere.
I live actually right down the road from this cave I have my whole life it actually wasn't completely closed down until 2009-2012 until the old man that owned it died the building was half a indian jewelery shop the other half they did karaoke and music on Friday and Saturday nights you actually missed if you walked by the cave entrance theres 2 openings that you could walk by and see into the cave and keep walking the path past the opening there's a giant stone that has the 10 commandments on and the cave itself used to be completely lit and guided tours. They've also found I heard a European male body/civil war artifacts/Indian artifacts and actual Indian drawings
I hate to tell you all this cave was not abandoned in the 90s but 20 teens after a great man passed away as we known as chief. And this use to a actual Indian cave so yes ypu can hear ghosts. We use to have get together every Saturday and was my and my husband first date. In 2009.
I used to be a tour guide for that case in 2001 2002-2003 that border you found was my ex girlfriend I can show you some things in that day but we're absolutely blow your mind I can actually show you the other potato cave is to I would love to go there join in expeditions with you I know all of the owners that lives in the house as well
Sure hope you file a "flight plan" with someone when you go into a place like that. Slick path, sharp rocks, total darkness, intermittent flooding, remote location, what could possibly go wrong? That was an amazing place and it's a shame the vandals have done their dirty deeds there like so many other places. Glad to see you and John always respect the explorer's code: Take only pictures & leave only footprints.
It's unfortunate that people felt the need to vandalize in this cavern, there were some awesome formations in the rock. Also I think the "Lisa Frank" trapper keeper might have been another 80's/90's artist named Sue Dawe.
Makes me so sick to see a beautiful natural place like that sprinkled with trash and even graffiti. In colorado, we have some yurts in the mountains that you can hike into to, that are free to use and people (for the most part) follow the "leave no trace" etiquette, or will only leave useful things/gifts behind, like firewood, cocoa mix, a bottle of booze etc. Seeing that large open space with the fireplace and facade made me think how cool it would be to clean it up so people could camp out there. The desire to destroy and trash things in some humans just makes me so mad and so grateful that I'm a cat.
I was thinking it looked like a part in Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell . When they take the fake boat ride through in the cave and in up in Dinosaur Land or I guess the land of the lost . lol !! It is a cool place though !!
I get so mad the caves around my house are all off limits, either that or the park service owns them and will do tours when they want to.. but seeing how some people left that one I understand why now I guess
Excellent video!!! That was a bit scary not knowing if something was going to come out of the darkness and get you guys.... Loved this adventure. Thanks for posting
I really hope someone knew where you guys were while you were in there in case you disappeared! And I agree with the comment about needing some boots...
Located on the Holston River, the cave is an invaluable archaeological and anthropological resource that was inhabited by Native American Indians thousands of years before European settlers first set foot on the continent, based on artifacts collected from the site in years gone by. In 1983, the remains of a human skeleton were discovered and examined by the University of Tennessee.. They were dated to be 3,000 years old. Remains of cane torches and other artifacts located in the cave indicate use by prehistoric indigenous peoples. Around the beginning of the 18th century, the cave was reportedly used by a Frenchman who traded with Indians, especially the inhabitants of a Cherokee village just west of the cave's entrance. In the 1700s, a Cherokee village was located just west of the main cave entrance, before the people were pushed out by encroaching Anglo-American settlers. Four years after the Civil War, Robert Frederick Hoke, a former Confederate general from North Carolina, purchased the property on which the cave is located, on July 21, 1869. For many years bat guano - a valuable natural fertilizer also noted for its high saltpeter content, used in the production of gunpowder - was mined from the cave. Over one hundred years ago, on January 4, 1916, businessmen in the area formed the Indian Cave Park Association to develop the cave as a commercial attraction, as was being done for other caves throughout the Great Smoky Mountain region. That Association opened the cave to the public on May 30, 1924. In 1934, it became the world's largest electrically illuminated cavern and the principal owner was Hunter Boyd Chapman of Virginia. However, today Indian Cave is reportedly owned by another group, JSM Indian Cave LLC, a Tennessee Limited Liability Company established on Sept. 21, 2010, and is reportedly not at this time open for tours or to the public in general. The Registered Agent on file for this company is Kenneth S. Christiansen,Esq., who died on October 26, 2018. The cave is not open to visitors and is closed to the public as of 2005. That is right, you and many others are trespassing on private property.
Rockin the pilth hat again.....nice ! Awesome place! Also never knew or heard of kudzu until you and an abandoned house along time ago now! Also I know its spelt wrong but hooked on phonics lol
You ain't alone. I felt like I kept hearing really faint voices when you guys went quiet :O At one point there was no water running so couldn't be water.
Be aware that water in caves can be much deeper than what it appears. One might see a clear shallow pool of water where the rocks lying on the bottom can easily be seen and appear approximately two feet deep . . . where in reality, the water may be twelve feet deep! Here's a very important tip for beginner spelunkers: frequently look back at the direction from which you came! The return out of the cave may look completely different than it did coming in. Many have gotten lost simply because they never looked back.
"Creepy baby"..😅😅😅😂😂 you guys would be fun to explore with! My son and I went to abandoned Jellystone Park and Harpers ferry cave one time. I think it's owned by the government now. People aren't really supposed to go inside the cave, but it was so cool to see all the electrical stuff for the lights were and the railroad ties that had tracks on them at one time that went inside the cave. I live in West Virginia and there's plenty of things to explore here! So is this in Pennsylvania or Nebraska? I'm assuming it's Pennsylvania but they're saying something about reopening it and you posted this video 5 years ago.
The crystal looking ceiling is just water, I thought the same thing an hour ago till I touched it lmao, also the fog goes away pretty quick just at the entrance. I didn't make it all the way to the end today but can't find a single person mention how far it goes, I hiked 45 mins in and turned around
Been through Indian caverns many times... We have 2 much better ones nearby that are still open.. Lincoln's cavern and Pennscave .. Pennscave is a boat ride cave and has a wildlife exibit on the other side of the cave .. Good stuff
While you were in the cave, with John, I heard a guy talking. It could have my own ears playing tricks. Talking in front of you. I didn’t hear a woman laugh behind you. All this, while in the cave. What was your favorite part, of the abandoned cave?
*enters the cave* And they were never heard from again. The End. Thank you Jacob for sharing this with us but all kidding aside be careful in caves they do get dangerous
Case study in how not to explore caves. First and foremost, entering a gated cave. Second, single flashlights, shorts and tennis shoes, in lieu of proper gear, including multiple light sources. Hopefully others knew of your visit and anticipated time frame for return. This type of exploration is why you sometimes hear of people becoming injured or lost doing so.
Yes! I think you're on to something! At least Lisa Frank is for kids. I think Ed Hardy is downright embarrassing, well, most of it. (Frank is generic brightly colored rainbows, unicorns and teddy bear school folder art. Hardy is darkly colored generic tattoo flash style art on overpriced t-shirts for tools to wear to try to get laid by bimbos).
I would definitely love to be in that cave and listen to the water running through it. It’s a shame people had to go in there and mark up the walls in there and leave things behind in there like that never getting it out.
Hey!!!!! That is legitimately my binder! Also voices are sometimes heard back there and it gets pretty creepy. Also when it rains it floods pretty bad and lots of snakes 🐍 😂

Y'all really need to invest in some good boots when walking around stuff like that.
That was absolutely great. Wow, such a unique Vlog. Thumbs Up!!!!
The front porch was part of a tin type photo parlor and most of the stuff inside the cave was from a haunted attraction they did in it once.
I hate to tell you all this cave was not abandoned in the 90s but 20 teens after a great man passed away as we known as chief. And this use to a actual Indian cave so yes ypu can hear ghosts. We use to have get together every Saturday and was my and my husband first date. In 2009.
The water towards the end was beautiful and very clear and clean
I used to be a tour guide for that case in 2001 2002-2003 that border you found was my ex girlfriend I can show you some things in that day but we're absolutely blow your mind I can actually show you the other potato cave is to I would love to go there join in expeditions with you I know all of the owners that lives in the house as well
This is a awesome place, You always do great videos!!
Baggerism of da day... "What if you saw, like, creepy eyeballs staring at you or something...."
😊👍🏻
Wonderful vlog! Thank you!!
Awesome place!

One of your best Jacob. Thanks keep up the good work.

I would absolutely agree, Sue Dawe!

It's a shame that such a, once beautiful, cave has been abused to this extent.
Hope everything works out good for you. God bless
That cave gate looks like an entrance to the lair of IT, man. Don't look into the Deadlights!
I was thinking it looked like a part in Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell . When they take the fake boat ride through in the cave and in up in Dinosaur Land or I guess the land of the lost . lol !! It is a cool place though !!
"Looks like there's some BIG coyotes living in here."
J's FLASHLIGHT FREEZES!
CUT!
LOL!😅😅😅😅😅
I miss your abandoned exploring videos
Yo that's crazy, I never thought there would be a video of this cave on UA-cam
Hi Jacob, great vlog and awesome Indian cave Park. Glad you both stayed safe!
I get so mad the caves around my house are all off limits, either that or the park service owns them and will do tours when they want to.. but seeing how some people left that one I understand why now I guess

Very cool place !!
Excellent video!!! That was a bit scary not knowing if something was going to come out of the darkness and get you guys.... Loved this adventure. Thanks for posting
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOMELY AMAZING !!!
Such an eerie feel to this place. Wow, so cool!
Water and limestone can make you really uneasy. Some people say that they contribute to hauntings as well.
I really hope someone knew where you guys were while you were in there in case you disappeared! And I agree with the comment about needing some boots...
Awesome man
Your a awesome man Jacob

You should totally go to ruby falls
Pretty cool cave
This looked so fun! I want to explore but am a single Mom of a 6 yr old so it's hard to get out. Thanks for sharing thiese adventures with me.
Why do people feel the need vandalize things 🤬 Otherwise, what a cool exploration.

Enjoyed replay thanks 😊 😘 ☺️
Awesome! Loved this!
You two very brave to go inside that cave! There no telling what might be in there! Great video tho. Be safe!
Cave exploring is fine as long you know your limits. I did it myself in a old mine. Was a great experience.
Cool explore, guys!
I went here when it was open it is awful someone would spray paint in there
Fabulous explore! I love caves! Oh and wear boots!
Great video! Maybe the person was the Donkey Lady! Lol.
Awesome explore. I love caves.
Thank you for this video!
Yikes.That was one creepy cave.

I would have taken a rock home as a treat
Pretty cool cave should ghost hunt in it

Though you were just live, watching this makes me nervous.
What a great cave ! Thank you for sharing with us.
Is that not poison ivy
Just imagine how up a creek you would have been had your flashlights failed.
That Trapper Keeper might have been worth something! LOL
Awesome! Love this video. Would love to check this out sometime. Too bad they can't revive the attraction and open it back up to the public.
Great video loved the cave.
That is an awesome find👍🏻👍🏻
I saw mist or smoke. Was it cold in there or was someone smoking?
Fish They were passing a J of woo OG I bet!
Keep on making great videos
I can’t believe the trash left around? Why do people take something beautiful and trash it?
Been through Indian caverns many times... We have 2 much better ones nearby that are still open.. Lincoln's cavern and Pennscave .. Pennscave is a boat ride cave and has a wildlife exibit on the other side of the cave .. Good stuff
While you were in the cave, with John, I heard a guy talking.
It could have my own ears playing tricks.
Talking in front of you.
I didn’t hear a woman laugh behind you.
All this, while in the cave.
What was your favorite part, of the abandoned cave?
Creepy cave. Great video

The End.

I have this theory that Lisa Frank and Ed Hardy are the same person
Yes! I think you're on to something!

In places with white noise (like splashing water) and lots of echoes, comes an effect called Auditory Matrixing.
Too bad you didn't see any blind fish in the water for us to see. Loved the video tho.
Cool video 😎
This is so cool! .
I kinda gotta take a break. Love you guys.
Woah. Spooky.
It does look someone did live in there at one time Must had been someone pretty desperate ? Pretty cool explore
Are u sure that wasn't poison ivy, you know leaves of three let em be
Am itching to know
May have been " The Abandoned Yard sale lady " That lived there ?
Love that cave😊
This is great. That footprint looked a lot like a mountain lion tho...
Pretty scary!
I would definitely love to be in that cave and listen to the water running through it. It’s a shame people had to go in there and mark up the walls in there and leave things behind in there like that never getting it out.
Awesome video!!! Where is this cave located???
Right after you said I think I hear someone talking and your friend replied I heard another man in the distance.
“You’re not hearing noises, it’s me” ? lol
You’re 20 minutes away from my house !
Just like in Jon and Tim’s videos in there, you can clearly hear voices. That’s NOT water
That place reminds me of the caverns in my state.
omgosh hope yall were watching for snakes, yikes lol
Canada when?
