  • This fragrance oil begins with top notes of dewdrops and lemon leaves that open to elderflowers and white lilies at the heart of the scent. Orange blossoms and night-blooming jasmine linger to finish this delicate floral aroma.

    I think one of my favorite parts of the video is watching the coconut cream gets blended in the oil and my second part is the pour of the soap into the molds, especially when it's a in the pot swirl!

    Wonderful work! I see that you use the hot lye to melt the butters, you don't have the problem of lye dust in your soap, how you do it? 👌👏👏

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  3 роки тому

      I’m not familiar with lye dust. Im not sure if I’ve had it or not :)

    • @yuna466
      @yuna466 3 роки тому

      The lye dust it apearse when there are different temperatures between the butters or oils and the lye. It is not bad it is only the esthetic part of the soap because it turns white the first layer of the soap and that means that the colors are not like yours. It happened to me sometimes..Anyway I think your work is awesome!

    • @daniellescrochet

    Do you reduce the amount of water and replace it with the coconut cream?

    • @OpheliasSoapery

      You would. Yes. I use such a steep water discount anyway. I do not discount any more.

    Do you mind sharing your water to lye ratio? I only ask because I'm newish to soap making and the one time I tried using heat transfer method, with cocoa butter pastilles (sp?) with a 1:1 ratio, it took sooooooooo long to melt them. Also, is coconut cream the same thing as coconut milk?

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  2 роки тому +1

      Coconut cream is thicker. I use a 1.6:1 water lye ratio :)
