Pitch a creature bait Texas rig with a 1/2-1oz weight. Or a rattle trap, chatterbait, even a top water prop bait. The bass are shallow and will spawn soon in Florida. A senko would work, fish the grass patches and cypress trees near deeper channels. Don’t waste your time down scanning lol beat the banks and look for really good grass flats with patches that are open with a good hard bottom, if that exists there lol there are some giants there

It’s been colder here in Florida so the water temps are down and this isn’t the salt water!!! Gotta slow your retrieve down on the swim bait! Want that boot in the back making wide slow swings! Hope this tip helps you or anyone else who been having a tuff bit!
Lawson, you really need to come back to the St John's in central florida with some fly fishing gear or light tackle. The shad run is crazy, freshwater tarpon they call them! They get huge and love to hit green or white flies, or white in line spinners worked very slow and twitched. I've caught dozens in a day where the little econ starts as well as many stripers on the same rig. The shad/herring run isn't long and its the only time of the year you can catch them! So few know about them and they fight like crazy, don't miss out!

301 Fishing make sure you have a rod with straight braid and that way if you want you can put a leader on if you need to. I most say that cus there’s a lot of grass/lil pads and what not

Agreed, white spinner baits also work well with the slow retrieve and you should try and mark fish depths to see where they are.
