  • In this video I wanted to share my experience with the Seekins HIT Pro in comparison to my Accuracy International AXMC and really all I can say is it’s fantastic at any price point hands down! I’m in no way being paid by them or giving any bias whatsoever and simply looking at things from a shooter/end user perspective and I genuinely can’t wait to see what they come up with for this rifle in terms of accessories as well as whatever other platforms they may come out with in the future. I believe switch barrel rifles in general will become more commonplace from this point on and the price of entry into them will only continue to drop as time goes on making them much more feasible for more people because of it.
The ammo used in the video between the two rifles was the only factory offering I had enough of to run in both guns which was Hornady black 140gr and yes, clearly neither rifle particularly cared for it which is not surprising as I’ve never had a rifle that liked it, however each rifle has shown they are perfectly capable of sub 1/4 Moa groups with good hand loads but in order to keep things fair we used factory ammo.

So I got into long range shooting with a RPR in 6.5 creed. Shot with some rifle snobs and found myself jumping to the other spectrum and upgrading to an AI AXMC. Loved that rifle. Had it chambered in 6 creed, 6.5x47, 308 and 338 Norma. Had it for roughly 2 years and sold it due to wanting to clear out some property. I just ordered a Havac hit pro after I came across the rifle and found out it had a removable barrel. Made me think of the AI’s. I’ve ordered mine in 6.5 creed, but I’ve ordered the .223 boot head as I plan on buying a 350 legend barrel and using it to hunt with in IL. Can’t wait to get it. Glad to see it’s a shooter and thanks for posting the video!

I would stop looking and buy, BUT get the sp10m... it stomped kac, hk, and lmt and won a usasoc contract after walking circles around the top dogs...

In my opinion, seekins doesn't get the respect they damn well deserve. Literally most gun guys have never even heard of their SP10M let alone know that the sp10m shit on knights, hk, and lmt and won a usasoc contract. It walked circles around the "top dogs" AND it's chambered in 260 Remington... who the heck would of guessed

Just got my Hit Pro in 6.5CM and shot a 0.33" group with factory Norma 143 grain. The Havak's are shooters! My only real complaint is that the Magpul AICS mag is very difficult to get into the magwell, it has to be perfectly aligned. Bolt is a bit gritty, but I suspect this will smooth out with use.

    • @jamesstewart9970
      @jamesstewart9970  Рік тому +2

Yeah the magpul ones stink, the accuracy international ones are much better

Im gonna lean ai. Didn't see any barrel options aside from seekins when i looked and saw a few people questioning the quick change system as when barrel was locked down and they tried to remove a break the whole barrel would turn. But for the price i still think they punch way above the price compared to many other companies
And back to the barrel thing pva proof and straight jacket all make barrels for the ai off the top of my head and you can get any caliber you want even wildcats.
Plus you get the comp trigger and aw mags in the atx

Good shit. Looking to pick one of these up shortly.
What barrel is on it there? Looks shorter than 24. Not sure if you can talk about it, and maybe i missed it, but what twist / length was the 223 barrel they sent?
Was gonna order the 6.5CM, as that barrel setup is the one im most happy with as they offer it. Would want a shorter a/o faster twist .308, and a likely a faster twist a/o longer 6CM/GT. Know of any barrel shops offering drop ins for these? Cant get Seekins to respond, but also havent called them yet.
Really hoping they can get those 223 parts made available soon. Will make a pretty unbeatable package for 2-2.5k. Any time anyone asked me what the best buy was in the bolt gun game, i would say Tikka TACA1 / CTR without hesitating, but now im thinking maybe this may be the new value buy.
Thanks for the look. Not a whole lot out there on these yet, but i trust Seekins.

The 223 barrel is an 18” 8 twist but even at that length it’s still pushing the 75gr Hornady bullets at 3000fps with cfe223 loaded .015” off the lands. The reason for the hold up on shipping out the 223 kits is we’ve been testing out different 223 mags and I’ve found that the mdt metal 223 mags work perfectly and that’s what they will be sent out with I believe from what Glen was saying. I was a bit of a test dummy for the 223 kits And believe it’s absolutely sorted out now, 223 is really small and it’s easy for it to get lost inside a standard short action rifle but the mdt metal mags cured all those issues. It’s definitely a steal with the features it has plus the ability to switch calibers the way it does! You absolutely won’t find another factory offering anywhere near that price range that will do the things it allows you to do.

      @@jamesstewart9970 Sorry one more Q
With the factory 24" barrels(supp or brake), how / where do you find the balance with the MK5 mounted?
Will be putting either the 25 or 35x on there, and just wondering if im going to have to jerry rig some weight to add to the buttstock, doesnt seem like they offer anything. Just visually, with the profile they put on those barrels im assuming it is going to be fairly front heavy but kinda hard to say without getting hands on it.
This is going to be a bit of a hybrid comp rifle, but wondering if maybe i should think about going with a slightly weightier optic.
      Thanks man

@@SCQT I’ve not found any balance issues with the rifle myself, I did find that shooting prone it’s easier for me if I take the arca rail section off the bottom of the forend to bring it down just a bit but haven’t felt it was out of balance in any way with either the 24” or 18” barrels surprisingly. I tend to prefer a LOT or rear weight myself but didn’t find it to be too light in the rear in either case. Even when I stick the 3+ pound pvs-30 night vision on the night vision bridge the neutral balance point of it is just in front of the mag well with the 18” barrel and a thunder beast arms ultra 9 .30 cal suppressor on it.

Going to place that order tonight i think. 6.5c, 6GT, 223 should cover it for now.....
