There is something so soothing and evoking about these travels via train, you literally get to cross paths with millions of people’s lives from an observational perspective - and then onto the next “world” in the next landscape. What a cure for wanderlust.
Wow!!! You are 1 crazy dude to be riding an Amtrak that distance! You are awesome!! 👏🏻👍🏻😀 (I can appreciate how scary it can be to travel in a different country, so thank you for doing it) 😊
What an amazing ride, thank you for taking us along Kuga. That view of Mount Robson was spectacular, all the other scenery was beautiful and the accomodaions looked cozy and the food looked delicious. I will have to try that Chicago pizza one day soon.
Thank you for filming this epic trip. It was a privilege to see all the marvellous scenery and 'enjoy' all the excellent food with your 'tasty' comments. Merry Christmas Kuga 🎄😊
Hi Kuga, Thank you so much for your latest video adventure. Such a wonderful and ambitious undertaking, and I just wish that I could do the same thing again but now I’m too old. Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year 🥳 to you. I’m really looking forward to many more of your train 🚂 travels! Best Wishes, Peter
Just loving the long form videos! The sheer scale of the distance you traveled is amazing, as is the amount of beef you ate! OMG!…did you have to declare that returning to Japan? Anywho, love the humor, detail and scenery throughout…wonderful!
As allways a video that has been recorded calmly and patiently and that is very nicely edited. Thank you very much for your effort. Ah, and thank you for teaching me something I would never have expercted: now I know what is "tommy john surgery"!
Epic! Epic! Epic! Thank you for sharing. I hope/plan to do the same trip (maybe even further east in Canada to Halifax?) within the next 2 years. But I hope to use a month or so and spend some time in different cities along the way.
Wow! It was so much fun to see the entire trip you've made in one video! 14 days on the train is insane, but amazing at the same time! I really enjoy your videos. I'm quite ill and due to that bed bound, so I'm not able to travel at all. Your videos allow me to travel and see other parts of the world while riding the most iconic trains. I know it takes a lot of time, every and money, but these videos are highly appreciated!❤ I hope you have a wonderful week, and I'm very curious about your next upload! Saying hi from the Netherlands. 🤗🇳🇱
The burgers onboard Amtrak dining cars are honestly REALLY good, I am always surprised (frankly the food in the dining car is always pretty surprisingly good). Shame you were not able to have seen the Coast Starlight Pacific Parlor cars that Amtrak retired back in 2018 (cost of maintenance was too high), that was something special for a train enthusiast.
Thanks for the trip. I like to see water views so I missed the view of the Pacific Ocean on the first leg, perhaps the most scenic ride in America. I also like the views of the Hudson River and Catskill mountains, which you passed twice, but nary a picture.
Great travel adventure video! I am on break and started skimming through your video, so I will watch fully later, and I subscripted look to see your other travel videos! It inspires and stokes my train travel desires. Thank you so much for sharing. If reasonable, can you provide a very simple breakdown (estimates okay) of the approximate costs and you spent on this trip? (Maybe you have this in the video - if so I will see later when I can watch fully through. Thanks, again.)
I hope you speak Emglish. People who travel in America love to talk with foreigners. I have met some nice people on my travels. But how cool to meet someone who knew who you are. When I was on the train, I went to that little snack shop several times but no one was ever there to take my money. Thanks for sharing such a long but gorgeous trip.
Nice and interesting trip😃 You may have experienced interesting aspects in different standarts during your trip😉 I thought you were being ironic when you talked about balanced breakfast?🥰
Kuga, thank you very much for sharing this informative and interesting video with us viewers. May I suggest you add the location(s) label at the bottom, next to the time?
Totally awesome stamina and endurance. Makes my planned 5 day trip in Europe seem like a stroll in the park (but I am 45+ years older) Will we see you in UK/Europe soon?
20:48 Technically, the "body" of a train is called the "consist," and when used in that context, it's pronounced "KAHN-sist." Counterintuitive, I know, but that's English for you.
It would be greatly appreciated if you used the correct English terminology when discussing trains and their height. It's important to remember that trains are not 'two-story '. The term 'story' is defined by a certain height in a house or building. Therefore, using accurate language is crucial to avoid confusion with buildings, homes, and trains-basically, a train has one or two levels. A Boeing 747-000 is not ten stories high. If I did that in other countries, they would laugh at me and call me a very undesirable name. Get it right!☹
Well, now that I've watched this video, as a former trucker and railfan, I no longer have a desire to travel the country on Amtrak. When it comes to quality, accuracy, and cleanliness, Japanese rail has everything you can think of and more. The Amtrak experience is more like an expensive glorified bus journey! It's a shame that this trip cost so much money, and the people in the NE section were so rude and obnoxiously loud, and couldn't give a rat's ass about other passengers around them! Great video, but for myself and my $$, I'll stick to driving.
That’s funny. Passport control in Canada where they let anyone in. But make a whole train full of People waste their day at “passport” control. So it cost $852 to go from LA to Seattle. 82 to go to Vancouver. $3000 Canadian ($20 US).lol Thru Canuckland.
Kugas , can't you imagine how expensive those Amtraks trains are comparing to European and Asians sleeper trains?! No wonder they have no passenges in those trains . Well , they got you ... Just forget about passengers trains in the USA . They have the Norteastern Corridor between Boston and Washington and that's all .. Poor USA !!
Can you keep the negative bullshit about there only being HSR in the Northeast Corridor of the United States to yourself? Obviously Kuga enjoyed himself, and didn't care that the train wasn't a Shinkansen one; why can't you and others like you do the same? Oh yeah, BTW, there are passengers on the train, as can be seen in the video.
Re:Toronto to NY leg - Americans could learn a lot from the Japanese about being quiet and respectful of others but the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction to being load, disrespectful, rude and obnoxious. I'm embarrassed by the behavior you had to endure.
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart...🎄
CERTAINLY ❤😂😂
Be still my heart ❤❤😂
What a great song
but the very next day, you left on a train 😞
One day we'll get a video of him heading to the moon and back.
By train.

Ms. Andrea: In life, you lose more out of fear than by trying !
What an amazing ride, thank you for taking us along Kuga. That view of Mount Robson was spectacular, all the other scenery was beautiful and the accomodaions looked cozy and the food looked delicious. I will have to try that Chicago pizza one day soon.

A dream trip! Your videos are always the best, thank you!
Great video. Amazing experience. Yes would be once in a lifetime experience but well worth doing. Thanks for the show👍
Hey Kuga, great video as always. Merry Christmas!
Always a fun and interesting ride with you, Mr Kuga! Thanks for sharing again. [Greetings from Tucson]
Have a nice trip by long distance train
Just loving the long form videos! The sheer scale of the distance you traveled is amazing, as is the amount of beef you ate! OMG!…did you have to declare that returning to Japan? Anywho, love the humor, detail and scenery throughout…wonderful!
That was very entertaining video journey ❤. Hopefully we can see you ride the new Floridian route from Chicago to Miami! 😮😮😮

Well done and most enjoyable!!
I always have trouble getting sleep. I always watch your video in between. It is so relaxing that makes me go back to sleep 😅
Great trip! Thank you
هنا شي غير آخر من نوعة..! اشكرك كثيرآ 👑💜🏝️
Amazing Journey
Just an FYI Ottawa is the capital of Canada not Toronto.
It is the capital of Ontario, so he's half right 😅
まさに私が行きたい列車の旅です!あなたは本当に幸運ですね。
Kuga’s Travel…. Thank you for taking me on another train adventure,it was wonderful ❤
I love riding trains so soothing, love it

Excellent vedio. Thanks
I heard sleeping car attendant Marcelo! He's terrific.
Next time you're in Seattle, I would love to accompany you on one of your journeys!
Nice video
Enjoyed it very much.
It’s wonderful
i enjoyed this 'compilation'... if you know what i mean. 👍
Great video kuga
Great video, Bu I skip through the Breakfast because you always have the French toast.
어떤 유튜버보다 기차에 진심인 사람 ㅎㄷㄷ
very very great!
amazing journey....
thanks, Kugars

Thank you Mr Kuga
LA to San Francisco is not 13,000 km. LOL 0:34
Awesome travels Kuga. What was your favourite train 🚉 out of those? Thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🌟
Спамибо.Мне твои видео нравятся…Успехов
Totally awesome stamina and endurance.
Makes my planned 5 day trip in Europe seem like a stroll in the park (but I am 45+ years older)
Will we see you in UK/Europe soon?
This guy kinda becomes insane lol😂
Sqmuel ♥️ 😊
Great trip. Just one clarification, the capitol of Canada is Ottawa, not Toronto.
グレイハウンドで1周と、ユナイテッド航空(ユナイテッドエクスプレス等含む)で1周というか、全州訪問はやった
Hi! I wonder where you stayed the night between different trains? Did you book hotel rooms in advance?
I want do do a similar trip around Japan via train and at each stop get a Asahi and local food.
I come for the train ride, I stay for Kugas Commentary 🙂↕️
very interesting video, I also make videos in your style in Vietnam, wish you soon have 1000k subs
Super fun trip. Sad news Toronto is the capitol of Ontario Provence... the Capitol of Canada is Ottawa, which...is also in Ontario.
Mexico 🇲🇽 is north America too
20:48 Technically, the "body" of a train is called the "consist," and when used in that context, it's pronounced "KAHN-sist."
Counterintuitive, I know, but that's English for you.
Si vas a viajar en clase turista, por lo menos, lleva para no morir de hambre!😮
I'll grab some KFC in your honor next week. 😊 Good video.
3,000 CAD was shock!

What is the cost of the train
49:00 FYI: Pizza is NOT eaten with fork & knife ; it is eaten holding slice in hand!
So how much did this all cost?
Well, now that I've watched this video, as a former trucker and railfan, I no longer have a desire to travel the country on Amtrak.
When it comes to quality, accuracy, and cleanliness, Japanese rail has everything you can think of and more. The Amtrak experience is more like an expensive glorified bus journey! Great video, but for myself and my $$, I'll stick to driving.
37:00 Shame on those passengers listening to movies without headphones. I'll bred, mannerles
Same old same old, even the food! Surely they have more options than the burger you always get?
They do in the dining car, but maybe Kuga didn't feel like buying anything else.
Lou Malnati's or Uno's are better for pizza
any delays
So it said that you were leaving los Angeles CA, how did you end up in Oregon over night what happened to San Francisco?😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hi There! Toronto is NOT the Capital of Canada, Ottawa is. Toronto is the capital City of the Province, but not the country
That’s funny. Passport control in Canada where they let anyone in. But make a whole train full of People waste their day at “passport” control. So it cost $852 to go from LA to Seattle. 82 to go to Vancouver. $3000 Canadian ($20 US).lol Thru Canuckland.
You didn’t capture all of America because you didn’t travel through the southern states.
Poor USA !!

Either you have reused footage from your trip to Alaska or your butter cookie expired in 2023. 🤥
Re:Toronto to NY leg - Americans could learn a lot from the Japanese about being quiet and respectful of others but the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction to being load, disrespectful, rude and obnoxious. I'm embarrassed by the behavior you had to endure.
I would have lost it with people playing movies that loud. All it takes is a few clueless people to ruin an experience for everyone.
