Good work maestro Lortie! The students are so colorful, i.e. full of personality and character!! I love it!!! Marina's initial response to, "I have nothing to say or offer you" was silent shock, then she came around and took her well deserved bow. That was so creatively smart of her. The world of classical music is in great hands. ❤🙏🙌

But if Stravinsky made a version for piano then we can take advantage of that. Use rubato. Hear Rubinstein,Weissenberg,Pollini's famous recording. Peop l e are sick at least I know Im sick of hearing pageperfect music. Its much more interesting when we bring ourselves to the music. One of the tragedies in classical music is this high regard for die texte as opposed to the music. If u look back in almost every composer's letters u often find where they were inspired by other players and in the 19thcentury that always meant distortion read Chopin on Liszt etudes but often he didn't like other players. Heller,Moschelesetc so many in that time.
