3:42 He does look like a cosplayer attending to an anime convention. I just like that she goes to try and get an ugly haircut so that Triss loses feelings for Geralt/Fauna.
It's pretty interesting seeing people's preferences between Yen and Triss. People who read the books or started with Witcher 3 tend to be predisposed to Yen; people who started with Witcher 1 or 2 tend to be predisposed to Triss.

Yeah, starting with Witcher 3 means you get the intro with Yen so she seems like the default choice and you're made to feel bad for picking anyone else. But after Witcher 2 I was team Triss all the way.
Also, there's just something about Yen's attitude. If she had a vulnerable moment or two I'd be more sympathetic but she's in girlboss mode 24/7.
I understand that the books give a different outlook of course, but if you just play the games that doesn't really come through.
My playthrough was only going off Witcher 3 and I picked Triss. I felt that with Triss it seemed she made mistakes trying to romance Gerald but Yen giving the cold shoulder early game was a turn away back then.
The game 1 and 2 really sets the bar high for yen, you are very right in your assessment

Seeing that haircut scene again made me think: it's kinda funny how Fauna says she prefers games where you can play a female character, but two of the games she's displayed the most brainrot for (this and Hitman) have her playing as a handsome older man lol

All of the romance-able women in this game are terrible and manipulative. Keira is the worst of them though. I always avoid relationships in my playthroughs.

triss was always the honest witch in game series. and that’s why she act so restraint in Witcher3 in first place. She knew Geralt got his memory back and knowing the bonds between Geralt and yen.
sorceresses are manipulative by design. it's literally their job to scheme and interfere in the politics of the kingdoms. even their appearances are an illusion, magically crafted to help them in this role. Geralt just has a crippling weakness for powerful women who use him.
@@alexaalexa2308 the very first meeting between Triss and Geralt was literally her using magic to manipulate and seduce him into cheating on Yen by spiking his food with a love drug. she also spent the first 2 games taking advantage of Geralt's amnesia to try and continue this affair and get him to forget about Yen and Ciri.
