The Pink Honey drama was no surprise to me. What we need to do with these types of brands is to stop supporting them. Hit them where it hurts, their pockets. Support the brands who embrace diversity, like NARS, MAC, Kiss etc. Not the fakers who only invite POC to events because they were shamed into doing so.

Girl this has been going on with brands long before the pink honey situation, remember Dote and Tarte? If they didn’t learn from them, they ain’t gonna learn now. The real solution is for poc to stop supporting brands who only switch up when they’re called out. Now all poc should stop using their products and brands alike.
Charity shops are the best place to get books… it’s like recycling and you’re helping a good cause at the same time.

I agree with your statement that it is your face and you wear how much you desire but many UA-camrs are on the platform as a so-called influencer and many request comments. If the influencers do not want any negative comments, turn the comments off - that is an option. If a person is on this platform, negativity is a possibility. Just remain positive and do YOU!!

And as far as people say stop begging for a seat at the table. It’s like you said we all want to be included in something and we all have been excluded in one way or another and it does not feel good. Especially when you are excluded because of the color of your skin. This exclusion is from your job basically and I’m sure it hurts. I experience that working in corporate America, being passed up for a position or not getting the position because of the color of your skin. Especially when the person that was hired does not even meet the requirements for the position. So I get it and I understand where you are coming from. It’s just so freaking frustrating that this foolishness and bigotry is still going on. Anyway another beautiful tutorial and I will be doing some of the techniques that you shared. If i want convinced before, I'm sure we're around the same skin tone. There was a UA-cam short from ages ago where you showed Rimmel lasting finish in toffee, ex1 etc and toffe was very close (i need to go back and check)
I currently have Max factor Facefinity Flexihold (before they changed the formula to airbrush finish) and I'm Tawny 95 which is now Warm Hazelnut.
But people have not been giving this good reviews, complaining about the finish, transfer, longetivity and skin reactions (seriously it's endless), but I actually want to try it now if that's like your favourite in the drugstore.

I will say though, as an avid reader myself, I see a lot of avid readers buying physical books instead of using a kindle, because they love an actual paper book. I wish they would think twice if they read a lot. It really impacts deforestation.
Let that brand do them. Do you and find other brands that will do that. Let them support the ones they like and quite being hurt. I mean it's fucked up but stay away from those companies. Support people of color. They are jealous and haters. I love the skin I'm in. We as black women are gonna get notice anyway. Nice makeup I need to get that palette!

I hear you on the brand not being inclusive. But people who have their feelings genuinely hurt by that and take it personal. People who aren’t creators etc. have deeper issues with their identity that they need to deal with. The brand highlights that feeling, but they didn’t put it there.
