There is the best of the best and then there is Angelina. There’s gold. There’s platinum. There’s diamonds. Then there is Angelina, an extremely rare and precious gem.
I like how you watch the entire video before giving your analysis as it gives you and your audience the full song experience. The hardest part of Angelina and her family doing the right thing, by not fully promoting her yet, is that most people have not heard this beautiful, healing song. "Million Miles" when it debuted, came at the right time for me, allowing me to finally properly grieve the loss of loved ones. It is the first song to ever make me cry yet it provides hope and has made me more emotionally balanced.
So I don't know if you caught the dedication AJ did for this song; "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine". -Angelina Jordan Also I see James put in a suggestion for another song that is all her and I highly recommend it as it's a great counter to this one, being Fun and Happy and full of inspiration. "7th Heaven" is Brilliant!
Angelina wrote this song deal with loss of the second grandfather. The song is sad and comforting. You can feel her pain and loss (we’re a million miles apart and you’re not here to hold my hand) and the comforting part (I know I’m never alone). In her live recording the emphasized the last part. She really loved being back on stage and was so happy during her shows. For adults the lock down was long. For teens impossible long and for someone like her an eternity. The live version was a lot slower making it possible for her to put in even more emotion and poor those out over us. That last cry went straight up to the endless skies and her grandfather. There are more wonderful performances from that same show: highly recommended! Thanks!
She was smiling to her "former" norweigan guitarist Egil Clausens son who if I remember right was lifted up by Angelinas mother Sarah or was it Egil. I stod right behind the 10th of july in Kurbadhagen Sandefjord Norway and listened to 18 songs. She is something else..
Sven, Sara was holding Egil's son a couple of songs earlier after I moved aside slightly to let her get right to the front of the barrier so the child could see clearly and then she swapped with Egil so it is he on this particular song. But the smile was to me.. !! Honest. And I am not boasting. It's just a fact. 😊
I really injoyed your reactions of the 2 million miles. The kidd Angelina was smiling too. Was Angelina's Norwegian guitarist kidd. Ingil I think his name is. Sara Angelina's mum was holding the kidd right their for a while. So was Ingil. I was thinking before this concert Angelina, Sara, and the 2 familys might not have seen each other since before Covid. As you see more of this concert. You will also be happy to here Angelina hasn't changed as far as waving back to the crowd while she is singing. Steve from NZ.
Angelina was fourteen when she signed with Republic Records in August of 2020. She was the same age when her grandfather passed. Soon after he passed Angelina wrote this song in remembrance of him . She also wrote this song for every person that has suffered the loss of their loved ones. This song is Angelina’s debut single after signing with Republic Records. It was released in November of 2020. This song will always remain relevant as long as humans suffer the loss of their loved ones. It has no limited shelf life.
In the low left corner of the screen is her uncle, fighting tears, thats why she walked over to him, it is his stepfather Angelina sings about. Elmar from Germany.
Great song/performance. Love meaningful songs and performers who sing from their heart. Angelina is not only a great talent, she's obviously a genuine soul as well. The real thing.
Thank you so much for the reaction and again please excuse my stupid comments Angelina is a treasure and I'm so pleased and tickled that you are reacting to her
---- After Angelina starts singing and walks to the left of the stage, you can see a man with very short black beard standing as a security person in the lower left of the video. This is Angelina's uncle, Michael Astar, who is her business manager beginning before she appeared on the 2014 Norway's Got Talent show as a 7-year old ---- After Angelina sings first big note/run, a small white hat with striped blue band pops into the lower middle of the video. This is the son of Egil Clausen (who himself can be seen wearing a blue cap that one can barely see). Egil was Angelina's guitarist for most of the early covers that Angelina performed and published on the Internet on her UA-cam cover channel ---- Yes, Angelina is smiling at Egil and his son when she sees them during the song
Oh I have been waiting and watching for your next reaction to Angelina during this concert her grandmother was having medical problems and couldn't travel with her so she was emotional during this song ,but what a voice and when she wants to let lose a big note she can..another one from the concert is LOVE ON THE BRAIN ,and yes when she smiles she can light up a room .rhe cover of my funny valentine is really world class , again enjoyed your reaction, it was fun and entertaining
Quotes from Angelina and comments about “Million Miles”. -- “I have been writing a lot of songs, but I decided on this song because of a feeling it gave me. I’ve never felt that feeling before. When I write a song, it is mostly from my experiences. Music for me has always been my passion. It’s been clear to me what kind of music I want to make. With this song, when I created the melody and lyrics, it started out totally different than what it turned out to be. It felt like something was guiding me in the studio. What is so special about working with such a producer as Stargate is that I feel so comfortable. They understand my music and from the moment I met them, we had that chemistry to make the songs. That’s the most important thing, I believe. It feels like something was guiding me to be able to write this song. I think everybody in the studio was aware that something magical was happening.” -- “When I was in the booth, while I was singing, my tears were running. To be honest, it was like a feeling of relief that all my feelings were written down and I felt relieved. ‘Million Miles’ means a lot to me because it is relevant to these difficult times. I definitely want to share my love to everyone, and I hope that people can connect with it and relate to the story behind the song.” -- “The song is really about everyone and reminding us that we are never alone because we as humans, our biggest fear as human beings are that we are very afraid of being alone or losing someone.” -- "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine."
Thank you for posting the full quote. It shows so much of the wonderful, humble, loving person she is. The music is just all of that flowing out of her. What an amazing blessing for the world. ❤
Yes, thank you for the full quote, somehow I had missed a couple of parts of it. It is such a wonderful connection to the song which is already so deeply moving to me.
My greatest wish for Angelina and her family is that fame and fortune never causes her to go off the deep end emotionally and spiritually like it has so many talented youth.
Thank you for these in depth reactions, very nice. Angelina did two awesome performances of the song "Feeling Good": one as an 8 year old, shortly after she won Norway Got Talent in 2014, during an open-air performance and one as a 10 year old during a indoor concert. And I like to give you the name of another singer as well: Amira Willighagen from the Netherlands, now living in South Africa. She is almost 19 years now and also singing from a very young age: In 2013 she won Holland Got Talent as a 9 year old.
Angelina is one of the most smiling singers I know. She is also so connected to the audience that she constantly asks how they are doing and if everything is okay. The innocence of the 8-year-old girl is still with her. The limit of global recognition they protect her as much as possible as long as possible and also her fans who are among them. If you want to do the Valentine's song, I recommend that you do the song performed by Angelina at the age of 10 and at the age of 16 🦶🦶 👑🗣🎙🎷
I enjoyed your reaction to both versions of Angelina's "Million Miles" original song, showcasing her ability to write an emotional tribute to her late Grandfather; and to everyone that has lost a loved one. I also preferred the live performance, in which she seemed at home in front of an audience.
Angelina Jordan is just a superb singer for one so young and I like your reactions to her. I don't know if she does concerts outside of her country. She's pure talent.
The person she was smiling was her guitarist who she worked with in aNorway Egil it was his little Boy and Sarah was holding him.Angelina and Egil had such a chemistry anD there work was fabulous just Loved them FRANCES fromScotlandxx
Good to see you back with Angelina. You may want to check out her song '7th Heaven'. It is also one of her originals. Studio version here ua-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/v-deo.html and live version here ua-cam.com/video/_Bo88l1aFDI/v-deo.html.
And then there is the 3rd version of this song... The studio mix with synthesized instrumentation and an an ethereal background tone. It was 1st put out as a lyric video with the studio cup, And then after this live ish in studio version, They produced an official video which shows the story... Yes it is placed with a vat original studio version.
The high notes you speak about and you love, broke the heart of everybody who was here, and I was here, great great moment, all Angelina pain in those shouts !!🥺
Hi, Coach. Today UA-cam does not have a like button, only a dislike button. This song moves me to tears each time. She slowed it down this summer. That big belt was longer than ever. You might enjoy another of her originals, "7th Heaven." It moves. I think you'll like it. You can find it on her channel. I like the "kitchen" video best, because there is a playful Angelina in it, as well as the classy Angelina. There are two live videos of the song, one is the "kitchen" video, the other is just the performance. Other 7th Heaven offerings are just the song behind the picture. I know you prefer live. Grandma Ellen, over and out. 💜
I absolutely LOVE both versions, but her outdoor slower, more heart-rending performance this past summer in this video (even a fan-made video) gives me almost an out of body experience! I would love to have actually been there as so many other of the "Angel" fans were. Am I envious of them? Of course I am! LOL!
It was an incredible concert, fantastic band, fantastic people in the audience, beautiful weather in m beautiful Sandefjord, good mixing of the sound. We has to wait 1,5 hour before she started to sing, but I don't think anyone bother, it was such a marvelous atmosphere there, so many nice people. And then almost 1,5 hour of 18 songs, all of them perfectly performed by her and the band. Can't be done better, until her next concert(of course)
Beautiful singer, beautiful song, and a beautiful human. Well done reaction and analysis. You mentioned earlier about reacting to "My Funny Valentine", and it's probably time to tackle it. The video was filmed in her favorite LA antique store, used also for "Suspicious Minds" and "I Have Nothing". While we see 16 year old Angelina (with blue eyes), walking about the store, we don't see her singing. Yet the track is absolutely perfect. Had she released this instead of Chet Baker, or it was sung first by her rather than Frank Sinatra, nobody would have ever associated it with these legends. It's that good. Enjoy!
The child, that you thought Angelina was smiling at, is the son of Egil Clausen who is Angelina's long time guitarist collaborator on many of her early performances. Egil was holding the boy. So I think you are correct. It was a lovely moment.
Thank you for the reaction. It's always a treat to revisit Angelina's performances. I actually love the slower version because it's more emotional and how she gave a shout out to her grandfather at the end followed with more emotional emphasis. She made me feel it.
Angelina Jordan Started to sing at the age of 14 months never stop sense In the recording studio ages six sing I who have nothing I who have nothing she heard from Joanne saying it is Italian song do you want a many
For your next reaction, if you were going to do My funny Valentine, I would do a two-part as you did with this one. There was a version in her living room when she was 10. And then the newest version at 16 years old. Playing the older one first and then the current one shows you the growth and also the incredible capability she had even at that younger age. For originals, here are the remaining... What is life? Age 12, her very first original with a soft piano jazz bar vibe, live version Oslo, age 12, a very classic tribute to her home country in concert Shield, age 12, dramatic with a James Bond vibe, indoor performance 7th Heaven, her most recent original at age 15 at Republic records Studio. An upbeat snappy and jazzy Amy Winehouse vibe, about never giving up on your dreams. You will have a field day with these!
Aww , how lovely a double reaction. And I'm so glad you chose the Kurbadhagen video. Though the Kongsberg one was also just as impressive and emotional. I love your vocal analysis and expertise and as Andy says waiting until after the performance to break it down and go back to reply certain parts. I want to add some points on something you said about Angelina smiling. Yes, in the past we have not seen much during performances or only small fleeting smiles and certainly little interaction with the crowd. This summer in Norway it is one of the things that stood out and amazed me and warmed me to her even more. I was fortunate enough to be at all 3 of her full concerts and the Allsang Pa Grensen in late June where she also performed. Her stage presence has increased and improved incredibly and she never stopped smiling throughout every concert and her interaction with the audience was amazing. It was my comment you hear at the start of this video about only having one tissue as this is a very powerful and emotional song and gets me ( along with many others ) every time. The child just in front of me is being held by Egil Clausen and was his son. Egil played on many of Angelina's earlier videos playing the guitar. But I have to admit that smile was to me on this occasion. 😃. I know many of my fellow Angels here will say, c'mon Glen , you are dreaming but I have video evidence 🤣. A couple of songs earlier, Sara, Angelina's mother was stood there in the same spot with Egils son. And she was waving and smiling at the child and her mother of course then. In fact, it amazes me how she can wave, smile and interact with the crowd without so much of a blink of losing time or place. They are a truly wonderful family and I was blessed and so grateful to be there in beautiful Norway this summer.
Lovely reaction to these absolute masterpieces, she truly is in a different class. Shield is a beautiful original and 7th Heaven is such a fabulous uptempo track she wrote. Suspicious Minds ( Video ) gets me every time. I love California Dreaming , there is just something about it that goes very deep, but most of her songs do !!
What is really cool is you never know what to expect hearing her sing the same song. She does whatever feels right at the time. Perfect example is the ending. She is simply amazing. Try 7th Heaven, Another original song, of course, with a positive message.
Thought you might like to know that Angelina will graduate HS in May/June 2023 at age 17; she skipped the 6th grade when she came to the U.S. at age 12. Her album (supposedly all originals) should be released next summer, and she will be free to travel and promote the album with concerts. I'm confident her family and Republic Records have a plan to launch this wonderkind into stardom. I always look forward to your Angelina reactions. "My Funny Valentine" ua-cam.com/video/bWiLOnHJYxg/v-deo.html shows more of her vocal skill set than anything she has ever done (IMO). Wasn't much of a fan of this song until I heard Angelina's version; now I love it. Not sure if you have done her two latest, but here's the links. They are both STUNNING!! "Suspicious Minds" ua-cam.com/video/RTbKhkceR00/v-deo.html A tribute to Elvis, but she totally rearranged this classic song. Love it! "I Have Nothing" ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html Lowed the key about 3 minor steps, and just knocks it out of the park. The only version I would rank right up with Whitney's. Amazing!
@@dojoswitzer That has almost 15M views on YT. At 12/13 (some disagreement on her age), she sang it in the same key as Whitney, and since Whitney is a soprano and Angelina is an alto, it pushed her range to the limit with some strain and fatigue. Don't get me wrong, it was Fantastic! But by lowing the key to her sweet spot, and being 3+ years older, she created something that I put on a par with Whitney. And I've never said that about any other cover of this song.

Exelent reaction . reacts to the interview and the two tracks recorded by Norwegian TV NRK Festivalsommer - Aug 06, 2022 with the quartet. The best sound to enjoy.
Regarding her originals, she has seven (five (co-)written by her, two written for her), here is a playlist with all of them, most in multiple versions: ua-cam.com/play/PLddfS789jBCows3lQAxFixqTj_rFbGFLM.html PS: She recorded 'What is life' and 'Oslo' at 11 years old for her first album, and those two are probably written by herself alone. For 'Shield', 'Millon Miles' and '7th Heaven' she had co-authors. 'Song for A' and 'Above the Water' were written by others.
Nice reaction: actually in her recent conferences she smiles a lot at the audience (the kid you mention she smiles at in this one is I think the son of Egil her guitarist in many earlier songs ); for me, the way she has slowed down this song makes it even more beautiful... but I love both versions
Just subscribed....admired your reaction and knowledgable opinions. Agreed with one of the commenters that you should do a 2-part reaction to My Valentine at aged 10 ( in an armchair at home) and another one at age 16 ( at a chandelier store).
This video of her live Norwegian summer performance is wonderful. But the video of her other performance in the other locale is even better because it was professionally recorded by a Norwegian TV station camera crew, and there are a lot of close-ups of her while singing. You can see much more of her facial expressions and emotion as she sings in that one, plus I think the grand finale sustained belt was even more superior than this one, which is mind-blowing in itself!
I'm beginning to think that you are a "coach/judge" on a talent or singing competition. They always want to hear sustained, bombastic power notes from singers. For whatever reason, that impresses them. That is only a tiny fraction of what singing is all about. If you're Tom Jones, and you have natural power, it's great, but so many of the iconic singers of the last century didn't have to belt, and didn't belt, and are beloved because of how they delivered songs with such emotion and honesty.
Angelina wrote "Shield" when she was 12. She performed it on Norwegian TV before she moved to the US. If an established singer had released it then I'd place money on it being a TOP 10. Another note: I wonder if RR is going to coach her in terms of audience interaction. It's the only time you see Angelica nervous and at a loss for words. She's such a caring and compassionate person but often comes off as stiff and maybe a little untouchable.
@@dojoswitzer I saw a video of her giving an interview and she said it was August 2022 from 75 years old and I'm hard of hearing so I made it first the wrong way so if I did I'm sorry
Angelina never sings a song the same way twice. But I think the difference in these 2 live performances is largely due to the differences between the 14 & 16 yo Angelina.
If you want to to hear more originals, try "7th HEAVEN." It's a little different from her other originals and I think you'll enjoy it a lot. Be prepared for something a little different from her.
Thank you for this reaction. If you are doing My Funny Valentine next, perhaps you could do another double reaction with her version at age 10 and again at age 16. Many prefer the second, but I still love the first. What do you think? As for original songs, you could try Oslo, What Is Life? (slow version with piano and guitar), or Seventh Heaven. All great songs.
Shield would be good ,very reminiscent of a bond song ,I also like her rendition of diamond are forever, not original AJ but still great like the bond theme it is . I like your reactions and knowledge and your a lovely person.
Howdy, YOSC! Nice reaction to one of Angelina's most beloved originals. Your jazzy soul will melt when you hear My Funny Valentine. I assume it's the one from 2022, right? The production on it takes me back to the the great vocalists of yesteryear. I'll go out on a limb this week and recommend a recording I just discovered by a singer Angelina has covered several times: Amy Winehouse. Her version of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow is so filled with emotion it got me crying. Here's a link to a rather inaccurate lyric video: ua-cam.com/video/O0jYMMTb0XU/v-deo.html
I didn't know if you have reacted to 7th Heaven or Shield. She also did what is life when she was younger and she also did Oslo. These are all originals by her.
Nice reaction & analysis of (14) & (16) Angie. I'll give you the links to the 2 MFT songs & an original. “My Funny Valentine” from musical Babes in arms- 2/14/16 ua-cam.com/video/sZ25H4a2gPI/v-deo.html She’s 10 with no mic & just sitting on chair singing the full version for Mery her grandma who’s filming her. Angie does a great interpretation of this difficult song to interpret from 1937 musical “Babe in arms” (warning Cute factor at the end) {Remember Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions} “My funny valentine” covered by Ella & Sinatra ua-cam.com/video/ETGLbsGDAI0/v-deo.html 2-14-22 Angie’s 16. She arranged this standard Jazz version instead of doing the full version this time. Angie filmed this at the Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. It matches the song & her timeless voice. “Shield” (Angie wrote it at 11 with Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen & Frida Amundsen.) & sang it at 12 . ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html she's 12 live for TV2 (A James Bond film feel) & at 13 in the next one ua-cam.com/video/IUAvEoPxNvw/v-deo.html this is live at a outside Jazz concert different feel to it. There both awesome. (PS) On the song you just reacted too, you saw 2 of her 4 versions of the song. These are the other 2 “Million Miles” by Angelina Jordan (official lyric) video ua-cam.com/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/v-deo.html Her grandma did most of the srt & Angie did some of it. Angie said that "the tears just flowed out of her as she sang this" It waas released on 11-6-20 She was 14. “Million Miles” (Official Music Video) ua-cam.com/video/XA1_CUaM52I/v-deo.html She released it on 1-28-21 at 15, Angie did the sketch for the video on how she wanted it.
The live version was really different in terms of how she played with the rhythm and delivery. It was so jazzy. She elongated so many notes and then played catch up with her pacing. It was really loose and seemed spontaneous in a good way. Unless you played bass and drums during it lol, then you’re just praying she resolves the rhythm.
1 hour and 5 minutes of the complete concert: (The video is not as good as some of the other recordings, but the sound is far superior to any of the others, and you get to select the song) ua-cam.com/video/VkhcpiEqtgg/v-deo.html This is a link to a 1hr and 10min recording of one of the 3 concerts AJ put on in Norway, and the sound is superb, her voice is not drowned out by the music. There are 18 complete songs, and this will show she does not need auto tune, her vocals and total presents on stage will blow you away. When you open the video scroll down the first part of the page and select more, that gives you the ability to hear any one of the 18 songs. The sound is so good, it is just like being in the audience.
I saw someone recommending doing the older and newer version of my funny valentine, but if you're doing that, go for the Old old version, which is live from a charity...link here: ua-cam.com/video/EFu4_cpY858/v-deo.html (I like this version better than all the other ones)
I can hardly understand the words she is singing, so I don’t really know what the song was about. I have been spoiled by Lucy Thomas's clarity when singing.
I think there’s one more virgin what are you gonna ask a home in Norway sending a song which I think it adds to it because it personal ever home you got a picture of a grandfather hang it up on the wall issue than wall stony clover that’s more details that I met you feel
If providing lessons on singing with microphones, then consider teaming up with this reactor/producer; he seems to have a lot of technical knowledge regarding singing with microphones: ua-cam.com/video/fQY9m73GEQE/v-deo.html
I don't care too much for those inbreaths that she has made into a habit recently. Maybe that is part of some pop-style in adherence with present day ideals. I wish that she wold keep more of a straight phrase without interruption.
Those audible breaths are a part her own unique style and her phasings are part of what makes her who she is. Perhaps you can find some other artist who don't "interrupt their straight phrases".
@@todradmaker4297 Yes, there are plenty of artists who does not cut their phrases like that. And Angelina did not breath this extensively earlier on in her career, the way she does now. It is not to my liking, because it abstracts the meaning of the sentences. For instance when she breaths in the middle of, "we're a mi...llion miles..." But I suspect it has become more common in today's pop scene to breath like that. Jazz singers also breath more freely than say classical singers, but preferably not in the middle of a word at least.
Angelina ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
she caught me off guard on her live version I can't help tearing
There is the best of the best and then there is Angelina.
There’s gold. There’s platinum. There’s diamonds. Then there is Angelina, an extremely rare and precious gem.
Every Angelina cover is in a sense an original as she doesn't just cover a song but uncovers all the true emotional meaning behind the lyrics.
peter You mean she's the "song-righter". ;-)
Agreed, Peter! I have come to love songs that I never really liked before because Angelina brings them to life and makes you feel the heart of them.
This is an Angelina original.
@@Brolin454 understand that but reviewer commented about AJ doing covers so I was just addressing that comment.
Lovely sentiment, Andy.
She’s in her own home Norway give me add more emotions to hurt more flavor today and we got the better feeling of the song my opinion
❤❤❤❤
That you were both there is smiling enough for me!
She's showing us the power of art !!!
Yes sir! The very "heart" of "art"! Her songs are masterpieces. Her voice is a masterpiece. She is a masterpiece.
Don't forget that all journeys begin at the beginning
I really injoyed your reactions of the 2 million miles.
The kidd Angelina was smiling too. Was Angelina's Norwegian guitarist kidd. Ingil I think his name is. Sara Angelina's mum was holding the kidd right their for a while. So was Ingil.
I was thinking before this concert Angelina, Sara, and the 2 familys might not have seen each other since before Covid. As you see more of this concert. You will also be happy to here Angelina hasn't changed as far as waving back to the crowd while she is singing.
Steve from NZ.
Hi, the kid she smiled at belongs to egil klausen, her norwegian guitarist from earlier years. Realy enjoy your reaction
This is Angelina's uncle, Michael Astar, who is her business manager beginning before she appeared on the 2014 Norway's Got Talent show as a 7-year old
---- After Angelina sings first big note/run, a small white hat with striped blue band pops into the lower middle of the video. This is the son of Egil Clausen (who himself can be seen wearing a blue cap that one can barely see). Egil was Angelina's guitarist for most of the early covers that Angelina performed and published on the Internet on her UA-cam cover channel
---- Yes, Angelina is smiling at Egil and his son when she sees them during the song
Great reaction! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥
Uma voz única em uma cantora perfeita...
Essa é Angelina Jordan!!!
I think everybody in the studio was aware that something magical was happening.”
-- “When I was in the booth, while I was singing, my tears were running. To be honest, it was like a feeling of relief that all my feelings were written down and I felt relieved. ‘Million Miles’ means a lot to me because it is relevant to these difficult times. I definitely want to share my love to everyone, and I hope that people can connect with it and relate to the story behind the song.”
-- “The song is really about everyone and reminding us that we are never alone because we as humans, our biggest fear as human beings are that we are very afraid of being alone or losing someone.”
-- "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one.
Excellent reaction. When she tours in the states I’ll be there.
She is almost 19 years now and also singing from a very young age: In 2013 she won Holland Got Talent as a 9 year old.
красотуля
💗💗💗 Yes, My Funny Valentine is definitely great, period. 💗💗💗
Thanks for doing another Angelina song I like your reactions and
follow you.
Yes it is placed with a vat original studio version.
perfection!
You are very good at this.
@@geirstianaaslund7141 - Totally agree. It was magical. 🙂
Enjoy!
The smile was for her friend and former guitarist Egil Clausen and his son. They met on the festival after a long time.
The child, that you thought Angelina was smiling at, is the son of Egil Clausen who is Angelina's long time guitarist collaborator on many of her early performances. Egil was holding the boy. So I think you are correct. It was a lovely moment.
Love your reaction👍
Actually she smiled a lot during that concert on the 10th of July.
She also cried, but those where happy tears😊
Age 12, her very first original with a soft piano jazz bar vibe, live version
Oslo, age 12, a very classic tribute to her home country in concert
Shield, age 12, dramatic with a James Bond vibe, indoor performance
7th Heaven, her most recent original at age 15 at Republic records Studio.
Her smile was for Egil's son, he was her first gitarist in Norway🤩
Great review.
Great job! I enjoy your reactions! More AJ please!
Amazing!
For comparison, Angelina also recorded singing ‘I Have Nothing’ a first time three years ago: ua-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/v-deo.html
Love having you back with Angelina!

Exelent reaction . reacts to the interview and the two tracks recorded by Norwegian TV NRK Festivalsommer - Aug 06, 2022
with the quartet. The best sound to enjoy.
Regarding her originals, she has seven (five (co-)written by her, two written for her), here is a playlist with all of them, most in multiple versions: ua-cam.com/play/PLddfS789jBCows3lQAxFixqTj_rFbGFLM.html
PS: She recorded 'What is life' and 'Oslo' at 11 years old for her first album, and those two are probably written by herself alone.
Sing about her grandfather, passed away to tribute to him
Just subscribed....admired your reaction and knowledgable opinions.
This song supposedly convinced Republic Records to sign her. It was two years ago.
I am sure you will love her original "7th Heaven."
I'm beginning to think that you are a "coach/judge" on a talent or singing competition. They always want to hear sustained, bombastic power notes from singers. For whatever reason, that impresses them. That is only a tiny fraction of what singing is all about. If you're Tom Jones, and you have natural power, it's great, but so many of the iconic singers of the last century didn't have to belt, and didn't belt, and are beloved because of how they delivered songs with such emotion and honesty.
lost for words !!!
Ditto Andy! Loved every moment of the songs (BTW the other live, is better produced visually, and audibly), and your wonderful review!
💐💐💐🤩👌
no words.,
❤
Angelina wrote "Shield" when she was 12. She performed it on Norwegian TV before she moved to the US. If an established singer had released it then I'd place money on it being a TOP 10. Another note: I wonder if RR is going to coach her in terms of audience interaction. It's the only time you see Angelica nervous and at a loss for words. She's such a caring and compassionate person but often comes off as stiff and maybe a little untouchable.
Awesome reaction and after "My Funny Valentine", check out 7 July 2022 concert version, "I Have Nothing", dedicated to her Grandma, God Bless!
Did you not see and hear that she was emotional and about to cry????!!!
So you wanted a faster tempo like the studio version??? Really??? Wow!!!
The smile was for the boy in the white hat. He is the son of he first Guitarist. The one from Norway
I hope you do her performance of this song when she's in concert in Norway in August
I know of three Norway concerts in July. What was in August?
@@dojoswitzer I saw a video of her giving an interview and she said it was August 2022 from 75 years old and I'm hard of hearing so I made it first the wrong way so if I did I'm sorry
Angelina never sings a song the same way twice. But I think the difference in these 2 live performances is largely due to the differences between the 14 & 16 yo Angelina.
If you want to to hear more originals, try "7th HEAVEN." It's a little different from her other originals and I think you'll enjoy it a lot. Be prepared for something a little different from her.
Here is a link: ua-cam.com/video/9rLiWvwzbCA/v-deo.html
Thank you for this reaction. If you are doing My Funny Valentine next, perhaps you could do another double reaction with her version at age 10 and again at age 16. Many prefer the second, but I still love the first. What do you think? As for original songs, you could try Oslo, What Is Life? (slow version with piano and guitar), or Seventh Heaven. All great songs.
It's magic with Forsvarets stabskorps.
….. Platinum ❤.
Shield would be good ,very reminiscent of a bond song ,I also like her rendition of diamond are forever, not original AJ but still great like the bond theme it is . I like your reactions and knowledge and your a lovely person.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
“My Funny Valentine” from musical Babes in arms- 2/14/16 ua-cam.com/video/sZ25H4a2gPI/v-deo.html She’s 10
with no mic & just sitting on chair singing the full version for Mery her grandma who’s filming her.
Angie does a great interpretation of this difficult song to interpret from 1937 musical “Babe in arms” (warning Cute factor at the end) {Remember Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you
could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions}
“My funny valentine” covered by Ella & Sinatra ua-cam.com/video/ETGLbsGDAI0/v-deo.html 2-14-22 Angie’s 16.
She arranged this standard Jazz version instead of doing the full version this time. Angie filmed this

As mentioned in the reaction, Million Miles was also sung again live in concert.
@@dojoswitzer yes I know, it was at Kongsberg. I like that recording best on her live in Norway concerts. 🙂
Please excuse my comment I should have watched the whole video before I said anything you will love this by the way
The live version was really different in terms of how she played with the rhythm and delivery. It was so jazzy. She elongated so many notes and then played catch up with her pacing. It was really loose and seemed spontaneous in a good way. Unless you played bass and drums during it lol, then you’re just praying she resolves the rhythm.
You should listen to her original “Shield”. Amazing
Another original, written at 14. It’s probably close-ups but this came right to mind. Also June 22 concert ua-cam.com/video/pDoprn8FVZs/v-deo.html
1 hour and 5 minutes of the complete concert: (The video is not as good as some of the other recordings, but the sound is far superior to any of the others, and you get to select the song)
ua-cam.com/video/VkhcpiEqtgg/v-deo.html This is a link to a 1hr and 10min recording of one of the 3 concerts AJ put on in Norway, and the sound is superb, her voice is not drowned out by the music.
😀😀😀😀😀
If you want to hear a produced version, her lyric video is it.

Her grandfather died
I can hardly understand the words she is singing, so I don’t really know what the song was about. I have been spoiled by Lucy Thomas's clarity when singing.
Please check her "I have nothing" 💕💕💕
I think there’s one more virgin what are you gonna ask a home in Norway sending a song which I think it adds to it because it personal ever home you got a picture of a grandfather hang it up on the wall issue than wall stony clover that’s more details that I met you feel
Is this an audience member recording on a cell phone?
Fortunately "for the music" there are also stars in the sky like Angelina, not only these . I hope they change something in popular music.
