FOUR OF US WERE OUT THIS NIGHT, RICHIE RICH, JIMMY ,HIS BROTHER AND I. THIS IS MY TAKE FOR THE NIGHT AS I WAS THE ONLY ONE FILMING. BUT TOTAL OF ALL OF US WAS ABOUT 200+

cabdriveruk I agree. I had a rat problem that was nothing compared to this. We put out traps, and killed more birds than anything, even got a squirrel. Invested $150 into a decent pellet rifle, and with use of my pvs14 night vision, and an ir laser, the problem was solved in a few evenings, with no more collateral damage.

Probably not the best way but sure the most fun way. With an infestation that heavy it seems to be practical to remove all friendlies and nuke the place.

Good that all the ratters go for head shots, minimal suffering. It's so addictive watching these rat hunter and rat traps videos, can't get enough of them. I saw one glue rat trap video and couldn't finish it. So horrific and senseless torture.

The government pays for things with your tax dollar. We don't need a rat tax. I'd enjoy doing this for free, it looks fun and helpful.
When I was in Jamaica in 2000 I couldn't believe what my mum said to me! Saying that there are mice who find there way in the house! So I bought 17 mouse traps and put them all over the house and when night time arrived at about 7pm they start to get trapped and my mum and dad is pleased about it.. They'll never come back anymore!!

Why don't you use a semi automatic, re cocking all the time is such a waste of time, your kills could almost be double.
Believe it or not, until recently there were not very many semi-auto pcp air guns. Sure there are plenty of CO2 semi autos, but they do not have the accuracy to do this job which is shooting a rat from 10 to 40 yds. Plus the semi-autos cost a LOT more than a bolt mostly due to scarcity. There were a few semi-autos at SHOT this year so we'll see.
They're extremely unreliable, they jam up like crazy.
Springs are the way to go man.
You know, really, it takes courage and determination to sit there, hour and hour, "hunting/pesting" those darn rats. Way to go, men! Your parents must be so very, very proud of you.

I guess that hunting these rats is a real hoot. I had pet snakes and people would razz me about feeding rats to the snake. I dont get it . Who can feel sorry for the rats ? . I don't want them to suffer but geez they are a pest and carry disease where they are farming food animals. Choose one - the hogs or the rats.

In South Louisian we have a problem with swamp rats or, Nutria. The state offers a $5 bounty. The tour guides offer airboat rides for clients where you get to fire on rats and the gators get the rat after the tail is removed..
They are a threat due to burrowing into the marsh grass and causing erosion.

Are you serious? Man, I would love to go out there with my trusty FX wildcat and mow them down! That would be so much fun. I have seen some really big Nutria rats. The gators would vote me into office. lol
Thats exactly what happens. See on youtube . hunting swamp rats in Louisian. The gators are active at nite and eat dead animals. Thats why you sometimes see them dead on the highways in popular areas. They scavenge the road kill and become road kill. usually the younger ones get run off by the older bigger ones. they are ruthless. The Nutria are devastating to the coastal erosion by tunneling under the marsh grass and it washes away into the ocean.
