Haha! I was also going to alert you to your work not being completely in frame, but I see someone has already mentioned it. I really like your content and look forward to more of it!!! Thank you for the on camera experiments, as it is so nice to see for one’s self the results of using all the different techniques. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much! It seems that even when I check to make sure I know where my frame will be, I'm out of frame. Or I check my mike, and then my sound doesn't work. All a learning curve!
The paper used in this one was from @rachandbellacrafts. One kit is her Woodland Wanderings and the other is Forest Threads. You should be able to find them both in her Ko-fi or Etsy shop.
I was wondering and think ill try this to see how it would look. I would get to the embossing part but run it throuh with an embossing folder. Mught just straight first then embosses to see all the differences these would make and if i would like them or not. 😅
That is a great idea to do it straight first and then do the embossing. Someone else suggested doing that with the die cuts so I will need to try that to see how they work. I'd love to see your results if you do try!
I did one a while back that you can find here: ua-cam.com/video/bZoADQLbR_4/v-deo.htmlsi=6j4aA8hfEIIZ80TE Let me know if you want me to revisit the idea again :)
I’m fairly sure you can use any glue. I have tons of the gorilla glue, which is why I use it. I think gel medium or even Mod Podge should also work. I haven’t played around with other glues yet. I see some experimenting in my future!
@@lenoreschurman894 I'm curious to know how it will work. I may try it as well. I have so many mediums that it will be interesting to try out a few to how each works.
0:12 i watched this through and it ended after the last one getting the wax paper on. You talk about not getting glue on your embossing plates but then nothing was shown. What do you do after this point???? Thus wasn't explained very well or I missed it completely. Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi, most likely it wasn't explained well. I did a third video and showed the sandwich I used in that. I also explained the process a bit more in the first video I did using this technique. The plates you use will depend on your machine. I've got a Revolution from WR Memory Keepers. I used the base plate, the magnetic cutting mat at the bottom, placed the tag on plate, added a thin piece of paper over the tag, and the die cutting plate on top and ran it through the machine. Hope that explanation helps, but I can do another video if you'd like to see the actual sandwich in more depth.
@BeyondBrass4174 no that is great and I totally understand now. I know how to do that but wondered so I asked for sure. I've watched a couple more today that we're great. Thanks for answering me.
Thanks so much for following up. I'm glad you were able to find more videos that explained the process better. I'm still figuring out this whole teaching thing :)
But why are you puttting through laminating machine if you are doing Faux lamination? And do you need to wait until it dries tor run through laminator? What exactly is the process you used? This video only shows decoupage on a background....I am confused....
Thanks for the comment. I'm using my embossing machine (WR Memory Keepers Revolution), no a laminating machine. I did a second video on the process as well that may be a bit clearer.
I'm so sorry about that. I was badly off frame at the end so they don't show up as well as they should. I posted my finished tags on Instagram if you need to see them better. instagram.com/p/DAGphRYvU1Y/?img_index=1
I am so excited to find your channel! This is a great technique. Thank you for sharing!😍
Welcome! Thanks for the kind comment. The idea wasn't mine originally, but it is so much fun. It gives some great results.

Hello, I'm sorry, where did you get the paper with the birds nest & all the pretty images from? Such a lovely video, subscribed now!

Have you by any chance made the faux aged transparent tape without using the alcohol based inks...I just wondered, thank you

Hi Do you have to use gorilla glue? I like your arrangements and that TH cardstock is a perfect backdrop

@@BeyondBrass4174 thanks for replying. I might try a gel medium

Like your video - I hope in other and future videos that you’re in frame more …
@@yesitsmechuck Thank you for your kind comment. I'm still trying to figure out how to set everything up so I'm always in frame. Working on it!

So disappointed not to see a finished product. Watched all the way through and didn't see what they look like when done.
