I agree 100% on the Watch to avoid. I bought one and the movement was never right and eventually stopped. I bought the NH34 Version and, so far, I am pleased.

I bought that watch with the Pearl movement and it has performed flawlessly. It is the luck of the draw… It remains one of my favourite watches. Interesting that no UA-cam reviewer said not to buy it when it came out - fear of losing commission? The NH35 movement has a better reputation so I would agree that you should buy that - but it is more expensive.
I have the pd1692 with the subby dial layout in gunmetal blue. It rarely gets much love on yt over the other watch styles in that case, but i love that it blends elements to make something at least a little unique out of the otherwise derivative design elements.

I have the white version of this watch. Great watch overall and on of the best regulated in my collection surprisingly. Just wish the lume was a bit better.
@@richyaranda mines had plenty of wear and runs really well too, about 3 to 5 secs. The white is very nice also. The lume doesn't bother me for what I use the watch for, all things considered. The sharp clasp has claimed a couple of victims though, one being myself.
I love the PD1717! It's an amazing watch for the money. It doesn't get enough love IMO. I'm going to get the V5 next. Thank you for your work on the channel.

A very good list Al. I want to get myself a GMT with the NH34, but my plan is to save up a little bit to get the orange dial Seiko and get the crystal replaced with sapphire, though if I see something that attracts me in the meantime I'll take look.

Interestingly, the 1662 GMT (Batman), NH34 version, is my latest purchase and I have it on my wrist while viewing your video. I have it on a blue silicone strap and I'm surprised that it is currently one of my favorite watches to wear.

I bought the PD1733 for a friend, who lives far away, for his birthday....he had lusted after the unobtainable original....I saw a review of it here somewhere, and I bought it as a gag gift, really....not knowing exactly what to expect......but he LOVES IT!!! his wife told me how blown away he was by it when he opened the package and I guess its gotten a LOT of wrist time and compliments.
He had thought it cost a LOT MORE than it did, but was shocked when he looked it up online.
I have the PD1664 and it gets a lot of wrist time, especially when Im in a hurry and dont want to bother with re-setting something else and I'm thinking I have to have the PD 1701...but which one??? THAT is the question.....I'm sure the upcoming sale will get a slice of my pay....lol
I also have the PD1671, black plain(not textured) dial, red bezel and I REALLY like how classy that one looks but I'd LOVE to have one in 40mm.....the 42mm is just a bit big for me.

Hello sir and everyone, i'm homage watch fans, for me i've the third version of pagani design, but the third version using miyota movement 8215, any issue for this movement and this movement confirm this movement is taft like seiko movement ? Thanks before 😊🙏🏼
Hello friend, the Miyota 8215 has a reputation for being a reliable and accurate movement. However, it is known for rotor noise and vibration. Also it is prone to a "stuttering" seconds hand. This does not impact the accuracy of the movement, however some people find this displeasing to look at. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Yes! The watch to avoid is 100% correct! I bought this one a while back, at the time was my second PD I believe. After an hour of wearing I looked down and It was five minutes behind. So I wound It and tried again. Seemed ok. At the end of the day it was still right on time. The next morning it was off by like two hours. So I set it down and filmed it. It would sometimes hesitate for a second at the 6 o’clock mark. I sent the video to the seller and made a return. I got the new movement version several months later and it’s a favorite.
Current favorite though is the PD 1766 on steel bracelet. Great looks, incredible price.
The only thing keeping PD from being my favorite is the lume. If they fix the lume, fix a few rough edges, I’d easily pay more for the increase. Especially on the non homage watches (most of my homage ones are in a drawer).

PD 1701. Swap the V5 innards for the V3's, so you have the AR for the black dial. You don't miss AR on the V5 white dial.

Cheers! I've bought a LOT of things from AliExpress and I've had very few major problems over the years. And when I did, I was able to get a full or a part refund via the AliExpress Dispute Process. Although AliExpress does have some very attractive deals, it is riskier than buying from somewhere like Amazon. I have read comments from people who have lost out on AliExpress purchases. Buying from AliExpress does not suit everyone, especially for people who are more risk averse. I've reviewed the 1752 on the channel ua-cam.com/video/royqUgmOMHc/v-deo.html I did like it ... but just not one fav PDs. It has a great dial but it was a bit small for me. Overall, my wife liked it more than me.
Have you done a review on the 2 tone chrono?
I did a full review of the panda version ua-cam.com/video/Y_ia5dWcVUw/v-deo.html I then did an unboxing video of the 2 tone ua-cam.com/video/Xxgtt6P3REE/v-deo.html It was a great watch, I only recently sold it, after nearly 2 years of ownership. I regret selling it but being a watch reviewer, I buy/receive a lot of watches, so I have to sell some now and again, even ones that I like. It held up very well over the 2 years, with no QC issues. The gold markings on the bezel did fade slightly but I actually preferred it that way, it looked more subtle. It wore great on a black leather vintage-style strap.

My issue with PD is with their bracelets. The pins and screws often are very difficult to remove.

Do all of the pd watches have a 20 mm strap width?
PD nearly always use 20mm lug width but they make a lot of different models, so there will be some exceptions. Make sure to check the info on the sellers store and check out a full review of any watch you are interested in, before going ahead. Thanks for watching 👍👍

Great video, I have a few Pagani Design watches, they were the first I purchased from Aliexpress, I'm very fond of the PD 1723 but I had to change the hands to make it more legible, gold on gold just wasn't working. I'm waiting to receive the new Balterny explorer with the brown dial, really looking forward to that arriving.
I know I'm late but. I just received the 1661 today and it must be an older one because the pip is green not blue. Bought it from Amazon, I'll probably be sending it back.

So far so good. I've put it on a leather strap as the bracelet was poor but the watch has been great so far. Looks very good, no rough edges so very comfortable as well. Would definitely buy another.

Cheers mate, I've been buying PDs for a few years now and I've also noticed a steady improvement in their QC.
They kind of have to to stay relevant with all of the other brands coming out with quality products (i.e. Seestern, Steeldive, Baltany, even SanMartin with their less expensive quartz offerings etc.).

I love my PD-1662 with the NH-34A movement. I got it for $110 and I wear it every day. It’s holding up very nice so far and I was really surprised by the quality.

I concur about the Batman GMT...Mine broke the day I got it. The hack feature worked once then broke. I purchased a replacement movement for this and installed it only to have the exact same thing happen. I will never purchase another Chinese movement again. If they put a Japanese movement in it, I'm a buyer.

@@TimeForAnotherWatch it's the nh35 007 mod. I don't think it was in video. I'm looking at it for bond events I go to, nearest I've seen otherwise is a £950 which is still better £9500 but still more than I realy can the pagani is only 109 at moment.

Did you mean to write "chronograph"? If so, yes. All the chrono watches in this video are using the VK series of movements, which is well respected. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Pagani also make a lovely Datejust homage, an inexpensive Subby homage (I have the Hulk colorway), also the BB56 homage.
I do have the early GMT watch (from before the NH34 came out - so far no issues) .. but gets less wear now that I have my San Martin NH34 BB Pro homage.

I have 4 pagani's with the NH-35 seiko movements....also have a Submariner, milgause, & a Deep Sea Cameron. The Pagani's run better, look great, and have a ton more ' bang for the buck'.. the rollys will fund my next motorcycles.

I think so, yes, especially when it's on special offer or in a sale. The specs and build quality are very good. The styling is a bit plain but some people will prefer that. I added a bit of colour by putting mine on a 2 piece nylon strap. Thanks for watching 👍👍

Same here - the Pearl movement basically does not work. Should be avoided.

I really wish they'd STOP making so many damn automatics and actually make a LOT more meca quartz options.

I bought a GMT years ago. The finish was awful on it and Pagani customer service was disgusting and rude. Gave the watch away after getting a refund through Paypal as Pagani didn't want to know. Would never buy this brand again, utter shite all round.
I agree with you on the GMT with the Pearl movement but in terms of other Pagani Designs, I've had some great value watches from them, that I still have in my collection. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Nothing shouts success louder than a $75 Milgauss clonage on your wrist! At least they've had the good sense to remove their name from some of these things; that's the biggest improvement by far in the last 5 years.

The lum on these watches are rubbish.
Some are better than others, e.g. the PD1762 ... but in general, it's true that PDs are not known for good lume.
Are you seriously using lume every and all night long? Oh come on! Use the smartphone at night to watch the time please. ;)
