Nope, nobody else plays offense like Texas schools. It's just a result of years of the best players on the offensive side. Look at how many NFL QBs come from Texas high schools. Brees, Foles, Luck (ok he retired), Mahomes, Murray, Tannehill, Mayfield, Stafford, Dalton, Kennum, RG3, etc. The Eagles called up a 40 yr old McCown. It's just been that way since a while. Up into the mid 90s they were still playing a lot of option offense and the defense could load the box. Now offenses spread the field with athletes all over the place. The best teams are the bigger schools and they can put athletes in the defensive backfield. The smaller schools don't have those numbers so it doesn't make sense to put the better players on D. Not to mention all the 7 on 7 that's everywhere now. Kids want to play offense and have a chance to play big college and beyond. Even the SEC and NFL is spreading the ball around. The rules favor the offense. It's just the way the game has professed.
@rnorrr My old high played one of the top Florida schools and outscored them by 20 points. That Florida school was still trying to play an older offensive scheme. It had nothing to do with the level of athletes. Both states churn out highly skilled kids every year.
Its not that the defenses arnt good but anyone who plays football knows that star players will make plays and big plays happen no matter what you do. They dont show the defensive plays as much cause they arnt that fancy

Despite falling to South Oak Cliff in the 3rd round of playoffs since past season, I'm pretty sure that Aledo will bounce back this year and capture an 11th state title.
Do any of the referees have eyeballs, at 9:04 Ray Charles could see that pass interference all day everyday, #6 you can not wrap your arms around the receiver, where the hell was the referee looking. The play after that on the other side of the field #1 had the reciever tackled before the ball even got there.
Both players looking back for the ball, both players have their hands on one another, both players competed for the football. That's probably why he didn't call anything, because it's a good play.
i'm from NC and I don't see a huge drop off in size and athleticism between top teams in Texas and my state, BUT these top teams in Texas run their offenses and defenses like they are a college teams. It's unbelievable knowing some of these kids are 16 and 17 years old with fundementals and IQ of college football players. Time/commitment in the offseason is what separates Texas from every other state. California and Florida are the only two states that come close along with a few teams in Georgia.
@@matthewbevan7733 The REAL credit goes to the communities these teams play in. They are the ones who support and fund the facilities, coaches, and everything else needed to build strong programs.

Ennis won state a few years back but hasn’t really had success recently until this year, but Aledo on the other hand is always competing for a state championship. But they aren’t on Duncanville or Bosco level
@@andyodvor2927 I wouldn't expect them too, they have smaller enrollments. The other schools you mentioned outside of Duncanville, can recruit. None of the schools in Texas can legally recruit. Texas has two separate divisions for private schools, TAPPS and SPC, those schools have been known to recruit.
This is my hometown, Ennis, Texas. I am a graduate of the Class of 1973. Always Lions Proud.
Literally everyone not in Texas:
"Do they not know how to play defense in that State?"
Aledo: *"Hold my Gatorade"*
The way texas plays makes it impossible to have a good defense cuz offenses are so strong there

So the ref staring right at the receiver and DB ain’t going to call that pass interference? @ 9:03
Demarius Gardner Looks like it! That would’ve kicked it into double OT, some refs are blind
Ennis should’ve won, refs always try to help Aledo.
What was the receivers left arm doing?
Anyone have the alternate angle?
Nah its just aledo knows how to play football thats all but yeah a lit of refs are blind and act like they cant see a thing
I don’t think it’s pass interference, it was in the air and both were fighting for it
I was at this game, personally one of the greatest games I have ever seen, Our Ennis defense was rockin their offense all night
yall lost though...
7:05 he just gave up wtf he still had to run like 10 yards
#6 for aledo great cb play

Credit to the coaches as well because they come up with the schemes and give the kids opportunities to put the work in to learn it.

@Goatbe Bryant yet most of the qbs in NFL came from Texas and that's why colleges are all the player are mostly from Texas
That's why colleges are good*
For some other reason I thought that was the cowboys stadium
