Really appreciate your teaching style Jim. My dad played the banjo all his life. Unfortunately he had a stroke last summer and can't play anymore. Ive since tried to learn banjo myself. Your lessons have helped me a ton! Not sure if you do requests but my dad used to play an Irish tune called The Wind That Shakes The Barley. Would love to learn it and play it for my dad if you could help? Either way i appreciate everything you do for us beginner's

Did you search for it in my lessons???
@@JimPankey ah it would appear I didn’t look very hard😂😂 thanks
You are the man
Thanks 😊
Thanks Jim!
Do you take requests?
Depends. I'm always trying to make sure that the things I teach build on the other ideas I've taught. However, I don't typically do custom lessons.
Speaking of Clinch Mtn, and while we are on the subject of Doug Dillard...do you like his version of Clinch Mtn Backstep?
I like his arrangement of that. It's pretty straight, but the backup is extra fun!
@@JimPankey For sure! especially that "real C" in the key of A!
It’s more of a traditional folk song that the Dillards covered.

Thanks, but I play bluegrass and old-time banjo. I don't do anything on the five string banjo with a flatpack.
@@JimPankey i don’t even know what a flatpack is
Mr. Jim could you teach us Catfish John
🪕
Can you do a lesson on blackjack please
If you’re ready for it you should be able to sort it out from this: ua-cam.com/video/uQan4K9OrRc/v-deo.html
Polly Vaughn!
It's only 2 measures... I doubt I'll ever do a full-blown lesson on it because of that. I'm thinking you might be able to figure that out.
