If you had told me there would be a sung-through musical about War and Peace, where a modern day club scene takes place complete with strobe lights and an EDM-esque song, I’d say “I don’t believe you” and “sign me up”
Every time Pierre says, "So I shall be killed, was is it to you?!" to his WIFE I feel so sad for him. Line was gut wrechingly delivered by Josh Groban.
At about 6:00, Anatole looks absolutely SHOCKED that Pierre didn't get hurt! I noticed it while showing my friend and we are cracking up at it! Also, 7:16, Anatole does finger guns. He's so bi.
Guys guess what I found out today So I was in New York at the museum of Broadway and we got to the gift shop and I looked up and I said “oh I didn’t notice before but these look just like the great comet chandeliers!” And one of the cashiers looked over at me and said “they are. These are actually the ones from the broadway show” and me, who never got to see it live, was freaking tf out because I GOT TO SEE THE ACTUAL CHANDELIERS IN PERSON
I think besides everything helene and Pierre do have a little love for each other, he got jealous of another man touching her in front of him and risked he’s live for it and she got scared for him saying he was going to die and he was foolish for doing it
WARNING: Flashing lights scattered throughout the song from 1:03 to 4:31!

anatole’s hand movement at 0:26 like he’s saying “eh not really” is one of my favorite parts of this
"Eh, bethroted-ish...he's gonna die in the war anyway, nbd"
God, I would kill to one day be in the ensemble of this musical, it looks like such a fun role…
Honestly all of the roles look like sooo much fun!!
God, this ensemble was massive. There are so many people on stage it's as if they had the techs and stagehands dancing during the club sequence.
7:15 Anatoles lil finger gun while Pierre is beginning to expierience an all out existential crisis is golden
4:11 his little dance lol
That's why we love Dolokhov
When Hélène runs up to Pierre at 2:18 he just shows the embodiment of the "😨" emoji
6:56 Were they going to kiss?
Yep! Affairs all round between helene between dohlokov and anatole
I saw the Austrian production of the show live earlier this year and they actually kissed at that part 💀
2:43 Did Anatol just-
Haha I was hoping someone would notice the Danatole moments I - of course - picked the best available recordings for 😌
I mean they also make out during “Balaga”
@@numerousfrogsinacoat607 yes indeed
The three of them are…very close
@@Hamilgoth2002 LMAO Nononononononono
