When you checked the leds on the unit was your engine running for at least 5 mins is your pos cable from battery connected to bottom left of renogy unit is your neg cable connected to top right of renogy unit or to neg busbar what thickness cable did you use to allow for voltage drop also is the renogy unit negative connected to the van chassis so proper earthed cheers mick
Lovely Mick, Couple of questions did you run the solar cables under the solar panels as I don’t see an entry gland, can I ask where you got the leather seating, rear storage thingy on the tail gate
@pmcd8975 hi there is an entry gland at the rear of the panel which is drilled through the roof and cables going under the roof lining and down the side under plastic side panels also do you mean the rock& roll bed seat ?
I mean your storage compartment on the tailgait, yeh,I didn’t see a plastic double cable gland, also the headliner plastic clips do you just pull them, thanks
@pmcd8975 hi mate the clips flip off but are prone to snapping but you can get simular cover type plastic things from halfords if they break are you talking about the marine ply storage units ?
@pmcd8975 first have you got an elgrand and what year all elgrands e51 do not have a smart altinator so you do not use the ignition lead that's only for newer vehicles such as transporters transits ect cheers mick
Need to check the pos cable thickness as I had a split charger before and just left the previous cable in, I have connected the neg cable straight back to the neg on the van battery, is this wrong?
Hi Mick,
Appreciate you getting back to me, yes E51 2009.
Getting all led’s on the charger except the ignition led
Check your battery connections somethings wrong

Hi Mick,
Notice you have the Renogy charger, how did you connect the small ignition cable
Hi I didn't the elgrand does not have a smart altinator so it's not required cheers
Oh right, I thought it did. That’s great then, thanks m8
Sorry to bother you again, should the alternator light on the unit light up or will it not due to the ignition cable not connected

Nice conversion but leaving the side seat in rear locker very odd.
Windows could do with darker tint to really make it stealth 🥷
Hi thanks a bit confused you mentioned a side seat in rear locker don't understand Michael cheers
@@annmariegreenhalgh4971 Me too I only see the rear side panel.
