Let's say that Dawn was able to write the seminar in a way where Mih'ya was .. say .. a drag cyborg or something where she only responds and maybe malfunctions or whatever. Wouldn't that show Dawn overcoming an incredible obstacle setting her apart from her competitors? It makes no sense to me to give Mih'ya the wheel when she can't yet drive a comedic challenge.

My issue with the episode is that it is not consistent with past challenges. Usually, top 6 pairs challenges (s4, s7, s8) has one pair that wins, one pair in the middle, then one pair in the bottom. I fell like it should've been q vs morphine to be consistent, but they want to save q...
Or if they really wanna safe Q, they could just group q with Nymphia and morphine with dawn so at least it's consistent
You can tell Q really puts her everything into her drag and is really competitive so it makes perfect sense for her to be salty she didn't win and to not want to say anything but to be fair this is a tv show it's not like production isn't going to push the girls to get her to open up
I think it was just a horrible combination of a video from home, speaking about her struggle with HIV, then her outfit being linked to HIV and being made by her, and then not winning. Production really hung the carrot in her face and snatched it away. I understand why she was upset, just didn’t need to disrespect Sapphira so many times.
@@shanel4294a queen gets a video message every week on untucked now. That week just happens to be Qs week. She’s always been a sore winner ever since she cried the third week when Nymphia won over her. It’s a reoccurring thing. You don’t see other queens be upset like her when they don’t win , for example Sapphira wasn’t upset when she didn’t win the rusical or snatch game. Nymphia not being upset for not winning those design challenges either

on a side note, remember how the judges did make it a bit of a topic, about "doing the asian sterotype" (in the presentation episode)? And how you gotta be careful doing it (and who can do it)?
I guess doing a (horrible) german accent aand leaning into that stereotype is fine. Seeing, as there was absolutly no reason why the investors had to be german, except "haha, funny accent".
Sry, but that was just a thing, that was stuck in my head.
It's almost as if Germans haven't been negatively impacted in media and society by mocking their accents and culture.
@@jdontrell i was gonna add that there's a historical component of mocking/cosplaying as asian or black characters (i.e. black face). Its the accent and oppression that makes some accents/sterotypical impersionations, not just doing a terrible accent.
People can still be offended by the poor accent by Plane, but they'd be hard pressed arguing that the accent leads to more oppression of german folks. Im happy to learn something new if Im wrong!

ngl i dont think laying on a fake, thick accent is funny at all. like, its such an overdone concept i cant even try to see why see it as funny. i thought the things nymphia said in her performance was funny but her using a severely overdone and fake thick accent just sucked the humour out of it for me. same w michelle and carson, and anyone else in the show whos used one (for purposes besides imitation/snatch game obviously). we could all just kill 2 birds w 1 stone and stop doing them period. esp from the pov of an american tv show, it just gives me the ick. i might be biased because my accent gets laughed at by foreigners tho so i apologise to anyone that enjoys them.
i honestly really hope that Nymphia wins. Yes she does not have the best track record compared to Saphira but i really want another Asian winner. she is such a loveable drag queen and i seriously hope she wins.

Sapphira deserves to win. Nymphia is a fan favorite but not on the same level as Sapphira atm. Miss Wind has so much room to grown and win an All Stars.
Even though I think Q being upset is understandable cause she did well, unfortunately her mad sulk face brings out a primal ick from within me. She gave stomping, pouty child at some points and I had to stop myself from getting unreasonably annoyed cause I know she was just upset LMAO.

Istg I would’ve believed Shea meant it as a joke bc I would assume queens know their sisters can’t know everything & that adverts r produced long in advanced. I’m rlly upset 4 Shea. Sapphira is mopping the floor, getting the clean sweep edit like Sasha Colby last year… Nymphia doesn’t have the confidence… I would pay to see Sapphira, wouldn’t pay to see Nymphia who is a look Queen but just an okay performer which is what most winners aren’t… Winners are now usually witty, talented performers in acting and comedy (Nymphia cant even write her own material)

I don’t know it’s relevant but commercials, ad campaigns take a while to come to market. This ad with Jan & Olivia could be 3-6 months old before it came to market. Advertising in general is planned months in advance. Drag Race Programming is a good example. Each season takes 8-12 months to be on screen. Please be kind to working entertainers. ❤

Q should have not won, neither Plane. The reason I say this is because there was an audience and Sapphira presented to the audience. When she opened up with that toast and got the audience involved she secured her in, even with her flub. Q and Plane were trying too hard to present to the judges, plus it was kinda cringey imo. Sapphira is super charismatic however. I honestly would have given it to Nymphia though.
Sorry but Q should have won, I think anyone watching that episode knows it was the case, this was a production fail where they have chosen their winner and they needed Saphirra to get that win, and it was CLEAR, Q and PJ’s was funnier, more organised, they never fumbled, they didn’t use cards to remember their act, no one even came close to what they both did. So yea, if I was Q, or any of the other cast, I would feel “so should we all just pack up now since Saphirra is winning?”.
