    I can't upvote this enough. I made this for Thanksgiving along with a traditional roasted turkey. The smoked turkey was more tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the stuffing... just disappeared. I made two types of stuffing, too, and after a taste of this stuffing, people loaded up and went back for seconds. Thank you for this channel, my smoking game is where it is because of THIS channel.

      Trying this recipe out in a couple days. Did you leVe the Turkey out for 30 minutes to air dry or did you place it back in the refrigerator to dry off the skin

    After learning Malcom is the master I used this video/recipe for my first smoked turkey on my new YS480 for Thanksgiving. We had about 50 people at dinner, as usual my grandma oven baked her turkey /: All I can say is mine was gone after the first serving and my grandma had a lot leftover. Every one who was there said it was theee best turkey they had ever had!! Turned out incredible and stole the show. I also had extra stuffing which is super good! Thanks Malcom!

    Malcolm... Wow what a dish. I made it yesterday for Thanksgiving, it was the first time I've smoked a turkey. The bird was 13 lbs. bird and feed 7 people, I wish I would have done a bigger bird as there was no turkey left over, it was the first thing gone. I love your videos please don't stop sharing and teaching. Hope to meet you sometime.

      I'm am going to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving.
      I like the idea of the stuffing.
      I usually fill the center with carrots, celery, and garlic. And whatever seasoning I use.
      If I cook at 250, would that hurt this recipe?
      Or does it need to be 300?

    • @taterchip7752
      @taterchip7752 5 років тому +1

      Pratt Koon I don’t think it would hurt it. But it would just take more time and you may not end up with as crispy of a skin.

    Looks great..I love stuffing IN THE BIRD, so here's a tip to get the maximum stuffing INSIDE the bird as possible. See that gap of skin around the leg and thigh? I stuff that, both sides as well. Just pull that skin back over and cover the stuffing, then go ahead and secure your legs together as shown, to keep it moist, and hold it in. I can get about 3 more cups of stuffing under that skin, inside the bird by doing this. 😊
