Remember to always pack a couple of spare sets of clothes, underwear and sandals especially if you’re going somewhere hot in your carry on. Forget the snacks you can buy them anywhere or buy them at the airport if you must.
Pour les snack for faire attention car certaines aéroport n'accepte pas les fruits, fromage,noix etc de d'autres pays. Bon voyage et profiter de ce beau moment
No definitely don’t forget the snacks when you’ve got a baby you need them in a split second
Everytime I haven’t packed a couple outfits in my carryon, my luggage is “lost”. Such a mess. I now take it even if I’m flying for a day or two.
I learned that lesson the hard way. Was due to speak in DC at Capitol Hill flight got in at 9pm they lost my luggage. I had to be in a meet and greet in the morning at 9am so thank god the hotel concierge had the shuttle bus take me to anything open to get everything ( Target). Ugh bags came 6. Hours before my Capitol visit 🤦♀️

Next time you travel, if you have an iPhone, put an airtag in your checked luggage! Travel hack I've learned & LOVE! Gives me so much peace of mind to know where my luggage is. This can also help the airlines/airports track down your luggage faster and more easily.

Great trip!! So sorry about the bags. I always pack a change of clothes in the carryon in prep for the worst!
After having our checked luggage lost on our 2nd trip to Africa I started packing at least 2 complete changes of clothes in our carry-ons for myself and my husband. We will never got without like that again!

If you kept your receipts the airline is required by law to reimburse you for what you had to buy
I was wondering. Yes they should without question reimburse. I am sure Katey will have all receipts.

Can I just say how wonderful it is to see you brought your car seat on board! This is the safest way to go not only on the flight but to make sure your seat isn’t damaged by the airlines! 🙌🏻

I have a home in Rome. I rent it out to people while I'm here in the states. When I was in my 20s I traveled to Israel and Jerusalem. It was an amazing experience seeing where Jesus was all over.

So surprised Jed didn't have a travel book to learn about what he was seeing. History is important.
Katey mentioned checking her book, so I think they do have one.
I was also a little surprised that they didn’t educate themselves about where they were going. But they’re young, and enjoying living in the moment! (But like, who doesn’t know what the catacombs are?)
Never travel anywhere without knowing about the people, culture and geography. There is so much more to Italy then pizza. The history is vast and worth the effort to learn.

Send your luggage ahead shipping with FedEx. Your luggage will be there before you arrive.

Turn your receipts into the airline. They have always reimbursed for mine
They do have stores to buy toiletries, don’t they? And you have an allowance from the airline when luggage gets lost for incidentals and clothing. Why didn’t you do that? Venice is a beautiful place….So nice you got to experience it together solo!
When having stops in a couple of cities before final destination......always have extra clothes

I'm so excited that you were able to celebrate your 2nd Anniversary ❤❤ in Venice! I went to Rome in 1998. My favorite places were: St Peter's Basilica & the Square, the Coliseum, and the Catacombs. I loved being in Rome. It was the Bible come to life.

What a lovely way to spend Valentines Day! We did a gondola ride in Italy and it was great. The only thing is that I was with my daughter and some folks from her school. I told my husband that the next time I go, I want to go with him. Looking forward to your other adventures from your trip. I’m glad that they found your luggage. Morano and Verano were great too- the colorful houses, the glass factory and so forth. You all had a nice length trip.
Venice was originally swampy land. They took wooden poles and put them in the water to make "land" to build on

I love the cobble streets. Reminds me of NYC except the streets are not that narrow if course.
You actually risked being fined by putting your feet inside of the fountain. You can drink from it, but you can't step inside it.

In Italy people eat generally at 8pm cause most finish work at 18:30or 19.
MY TWIN BROTHER MET N MARRIED HIS WIFE IN ITALY CREPES ARE PRONOUNCEDLIKE THEY ARE SPELLED CRAPES,....LOL A LITTLE CRAZY. I LOVED IT AND I SEEN THE CATACONES TOO......MISPELLED
