OMG I survived this wheel of pain!!!!! Life is beautiful again. The world has colours, things have meaning again, I get to see my wife every day and of course I get to see the seasons change outside. For the rest of you still in the trenches - Be strong. The suffering will end... eventually.
OMFG SO TRUE! Why is that? I never figured it out..... in fact it's so weird that most of the seniors who get to move on in our department start buying macs before they leave.
I wish this was a joke! When hurricane sandy blew through here and campus was officially shut down, the PIs had to be reminded that they couldn't order us to work anyway!
This is a truly useful PSA. To the still doctoral candidates, grades are ALWAYS due 12/26 at my school. So get used to this lifestyle, better yet, get used to loving this lifestyle.
Ah, academic decency. Some of those in industry were instead reminded to keep working as much as possible from home (or other places with Internet access) in order to keep business moving along.
Richard V. Farias clearly you've never worked in biology ... because most open- source bioinformatics software are Linux-based ... or there's big data involved -> Linux ... Mac makes life simpler .... joked about the first part ... chill!

This pretty well sums up my PhD experience.
That was hilarious and wonderfully done! Now, I'm actually feeling motivated to write this research paper I've been putting off.
Oh gosh, our mistake! We totally intended the regular use of "PSA"! Sorry about that...
Merry Christmas to all---Hope you love this new twist on the 12 Days of Christmas Song. :)
On the other hand, he may as well be, with Cohen-Tannoudji's Quantum Mechanics on the shelf..

My prof told me, Its usually less stressful during holidays may be you can devote more time on writing your thesis, beside the usual experiments.
Ask me about it.... I am writing two papers and a proposal !! Merry Christmas !!
Thank God, I just submitted my thesis, waiting for the defense.

A ma gash, this guy, this guy is just great
Many of my profs use Mac, and we are in the CS department. But of course, most of them use pc's with Linux.

It is funny because it is true. *unhappy face*
I thought that was Martin Mull on the thumbnail.
DeLorean at the back. Prof Smith is just a nerd after all.
Back to the Future DeLorean on the shelf
this is so familiar.. we will be at lab tomorrow, holding hands for mercy from our prof, waiting for the apocalypse. well, could've been worse..
I really want to share this on my FB but I don't want to share a pubic service announcement :)
Love this.
