As they say, the best drummers are the ones you don't notice. Because if you do, they're either trying too hard to show off, or so off beat that they stick out.
Every time i listen to Tycho i think of taking my love and going on a road trip to finding a mountain, and staring at the stars with her until we fall asleep. Drifting off to the quiet beauty the stars have to offer while the cool summer night breeze binds us closer and closer together.
I kid you not I did that yesterday. The wind was blowing, it was dark, stargazed for a while. I could hear the wind blowing even though I had my headphones all while listening to Tycho's full album on a mountain peak in the desert. Just me, tycho, my headphones and the desert. Best experience I've ever had in my life.
03:49 sounds like Patrick O'Hearn's music from the Album 'Rivers Gonna Rise.' I love the ability of Tycho (all of the musicians) to create such a varied piece - a dreamlike beginning... slow punctuated with an exhilarating pace which seamlessly transitions to a Euphoric and optimistic state.
I've listened to tycho during the best times of my relationship and also the worst, this song particularly always strikes me, so many emotions. Im sorry we ended, i miss the old you still.
I feel the same way. Listening always makes me feel grateful for all the good times that were had, knowing that life can only be lived forward and to just appreciate the fact that I ever felt those types of emotions and experiences with that person. They remind me to stay present while simultaneously making me feel like I wish I could go back and relive those old moments forever.
lol. I live about ten minutes from Red Rocks and I didn't know about it. DOH! (Life has been too hectic the past couple of years, which the album has helped with, at least.)
Came to love Tycho having discovered him/them from a great little PS4 video game called Hohokum years ago. I'm still here listening to them. For some reason, I always feel compelled to listen to Tycho in the Fall. Something about their instrumental, falling leaves and changing foliage just come together.
It never fails that I at least tear up every time I watch this video. It's the perfect combination of sounds, every corner of the sound Spectrum dances together in Perfect Harmony. This recording is truly one of the most remarkable recordings I have ever heard, truly beautiful. Bravo, Tycho.
The most insane feeling of deja vu washes over me when I hear this song. It is almost as if I myself wrote this song in my dreams. Subconscious emotion trapped for aeons surges forth in an overwhelmingly paradoxical swell of............... then its gone again and Im forced to play the song again. help me.....where have I heard this song before.
While I was listenining random playlists I had a flashback as a kid walking and playing in my first park.. I had to remember the name of this cool song..now that I got it I have to say thanks..amazing stuff 😤
You are right, this sound IS versatile and can accommodate some more variations. Everyone here should enjoy Mute Math Too! What tycho does not, mute math does.
Goosebumps, impeccable performance, thank you for this beautiful creation. In this painful world your wonderful work has brought me respite. I wish I had the knowledge and tools necessary to create beautiful music such as this to try and express my feelings and create something.
this just makes me dreamin about something, everytime, idk what and why and its just amazing! this is my favorite "A Walk" before "Awake" and the rest.
Hope the drummer reads these comments someday and sees all the love he’s getting .
He has a project called Nitemoves, it's awesome
@@bobsondugnutt7526 cool thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely look into it.
He already has all the love 💝
The drummer is flawless. He proves that it's all about blending and not trying to show off all of your chops.
Ben Wells great observation
couldnt agree more. #MakingDrumsGreatAgain
Oh... But he be choppin'.
I think it's great. Best part of the song. It's what caught my attention...
That certain double roll.
Ben Wells he's so damn good. Really is inspiring..

this is the sound of healing
**Points at Song of Healing from Majora's Mask**
Divine healing..
The beginning of this song is what I imagine one would hear waking up in heaven.
I met my bueatiful wife Donna at the park. We went for a walk. We are no more. Appreciate the person you have, before they are gone
Impeccable timing on those drums!
The drummer is sick...... seamless....it's pretty cool to watch......
Man that guitar at 2:53 is just so pure and beautiful
I'm addicted to that sequence 😫❤️

Ben Conquest and then I wake up and realize that i do not have a "my love"
Ben Conquest I've gone camping, had Tycho playing during the night from the car in the mountains. It's truly amazing in nature
Dad?
Ben Conquest
Man this album has been one of my favorites to listening to while studying for 3 years now. Much love for this album!
Most underated band ever. Brava
Years of listening to this and 2:49 to around 3:10 still gives me goosebumps. Tycho is incredible.
Discovered this from a rapper that sampled it (kush high by eighty4fly) and been in love with it ever since
One of the greatest songs of all-time, IMO.
This song got me through my anxiety attacks

How beautiful is this? How pure? How uplifting? Thank you!
2021... still seamless.

I listened to this on Grado open backed headphones - it took me to another planet.
They all compliment each other's playing so well. Great stuff.
It is amazing, the places this song takes me.
So true man

What an amazing masterpiece!

help me.....where have I heard this song before.
In your soul....
Music is the language of heaven
It is so very dreamlike and heavenly, I woke up from a religious dream with it humming in my head. It was such a melancholy beautiful feeling.
This is an acid trip mixed with Versed on the brain.. so soothing, takes me to the clouds and back..
The beginning is flawless, it’s an acid trip. Peaking.
Truly beautiful 👌
Love the little changes he did on the intro to this. Of all the live performances I've seen of this song this is my favorite version.
one of the best live performances ive heard
While I was listenining random playlists I had a flashback as a kid walking and playing in my first park.. I had to remember the name of this cool song..now that I got it I have to say thanks..amazing stuff 😤
+misspurpura That gave me chills. Tycho really does invoke some crazy good feelings.
Ive watched this video every month or so for the past 3 years and is still amazing
Seeing people performing one of my fav tracks of all times just gave me hard goosebumps. Im so happy right now
Im going to see them in LA tonight and i can't wait
how was it?
I can never get tired of their sound, although I think a lot of their stuff sounds the same
well yeah, each artist has a specific sound. Tycho's is real breathy and airy and bass-heavy (which is dope).
...but I that's ok. I listen to them specifically for this sound so I like that there is a strong familiarity to each song.
You are right, this sound IS versatile and can accommodate some more variations. Everyone here should enjoy Mute Math Too! What tycho does not, mute math does.
Loved ‘Awake’ now this. So thankful to hear it now🙏🏾 Thank you!

Germany loves tycho
This is beyond healing, it opens my mind and heart to daydream and feel what ever I wish to feel. Beautiful
Me encanta, lo mejor para viajar
this just makes me dreamin about something, everytime, idk what and why and its just amazing! this is my favorite "A Walk" before "Awake" and the rest.
Keep playing this when you've reached perfection...and keep jammin'

Brilliantly Co-Ordinated Stuff...Awesome Ambient-Chillwave Sounds
desde Venezuela se te escucha!
dang almost sounds exactly like the album version
cascadehopsrule sounds better. I think the drums make it better
cascadehopsrule
Yeah I almost always like the studio recording of everything better, but immediately liked this performance better for the drums.
I actually like that he switched the piano/keyboard intro up and added some more notes. Plus that guitar in the middle section sounds soooooo clean
I am the 69th like again
2:43 What beautiful song from keyboard 😍
That kit sounds so good
beautiful
so relaxed, love it.
So serene and peaceful
The Crash Reel! Anyone else!? Great film! Also great song.

Better than the album version. The cymbals are spectaculars!
I can't believe I missed seeing them live when they came through Louisiana.
У Тайко волшебные руки и соответствующая музыка!
Very dope. Very clean. Good stuff!
Magical.
I was introduced to this by NPR's Morning Edition.
thank you.
Love!!
genios!
멋잇쪄요
The synth at the start is a Minimoog, for anyone asking. (I think, anyway. It's definitely one he used on Dive.)
TheFlossyDog the synth he's using in the beginning of this video is an access virus indigo
Masterpiece!
