Self check in, expensive room rates, bed bugs, exorbitant resort fees, few free drinks, sky high food prices, consolidating ownership amongst casinos, crime, and indifferent to bad service are all reasons not to come to Vegas.
I stopped going to Vegas a couple of years ago for all the reasons mentioned.
Don't forget those parking fees.

I tend to watch all kinds of Vegas content on here and I really and truly do appreciate your content on here because your content doesn't just talk about the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, you talk about the absolute real issues that most people don't want to talk about. @@BlackStallion85 Years ago I caught that Apple came out with Apple Pay. Then there was Droid Pay. And Samsung Pay. I saw it early because I was an ATM technician.
I realized that soon it was to be the fad for every corporation to add "Pay" to their brand for marketing, harvesting demographics and financial services.
I bought all good Vegas Pay internet domains a couple weeks before any casino could have a chance to get their corporate approval process to start Vegas Pay.
China and CCP are trying to build their own Vegas Pay in Brazil for BRICS. So now I'm holding something that might get me to Vegas at any time.

We used to fly to LV about every 6 weeks from the East Coast since about 1995. Loved the place. Now, you could not pay me to go.
You could walk around the strip 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning, see some cops on the bicycles, it was fun. These were the good days.
Over the years it really changed, and not for the better. The last time we were there, about 6 or 7 girls had a fight (it was at Bally's),
they were on the floor, pulling each others hair and security just watched. That was about 6 years ago and that's when we decided
that this was it. No more.

Heck Yeah! I've told a few friends that they may want to wait to visit Vegas for now. The people I know around here are way past done with all the F1 "improvements"/road work and an already tense town is getting pushed just a bit too far. I don't even want to think about what the staff at any of the Strip hotels are going to have to go through to cope with the closures due to this race. And then we have bed bug problems on top of it all. That's the last thing anyone needs.
Just keep doing what you are doing. I appreciate your hard work.
There is a chance of bedbugs in all hotels. Make sure you check the room before you unpack. I have never run across them luckily.

I love Vegas. I used to go 3-4 times per year. I haven't been in over a year now, I really have little to no desire to return. The service is trash, there's lots of violence, people rooms are being broken into, and their things are being stolen ... The list goes on. As far as the bed bugs go, they can be at any hotel, anywhere. Not just Vegas. Use the luggage rack in your room, or set your suitcase on the dresser. Inspect your bed, and furniture thoroughly, and I always suggest never getting into the bed with clothes on.

I stayed at Planet Hollywood last month.The rooms are extremely clean,and very nice,especially the bathroom is very large.Had dinner at Striphouse with my ladyfriend,and saw Criss Angel.Only complaint is the parking garage is connected to MM Shops and you have to walk a whole stretch of the mall to get to the casino

Yup, I always take of bedding and inspect, not just in Vegas tripps, in all tripps, even when in our RV, we check it out before. When we get back home no clothing or luggage get in, I open everything in the garage and it gets a wash before taking it in, RV gets a good cleaning also when we go camping. Bed bugs and all other creepy crawlies are some things we have to prepare for. In Vegas the bigest problem seems to be post covid, all resorts slimmed their payroll , and room service has been the most notorious, there are not enough room service employees to do a good enough job, resort big wigs know that but they are getting away with that because they and their investors only care about their earnings, and they found out they can do without service employees, without buffets, and they can even charge more and more including "resort fees" and people will still go there. Big problem. Ok Steve, enough of my ranting. Great video, as always, thanks a lot!

I left Vegas yesterday and stayed at Nomad... very nice clean room and great staff !!! Bb free and super comfy bed . I am a gold member and had free stay and great conps !!!

We were wondering where we got bedbugs. Fortunately we live in an apartment so the landlord paid for the pest control but it was a pain getting ready for it, moving things into the backyard
I had multiple encounters with bedbug infestations. I have relatives that bring them into my house. I have some experience getting the infestation to conclusion.
So I use an empty 5 gallon water cooler bottle. From a dollar store, I get a couple bags of sugar. It takes time but I added both water and sugar to fill the bottle. I wanted all the sugar to get wet before it sediments on the bottom. Activate and add yeast.
Seal the top of the bottle closed around a one end of a length of rubber tube. I have a coat hanger wire inside to give it stiffness that lets me give it permanent shape.
Carbon Dioxide will come out of the end of the tube. All bedbugs will be attracted to the end of the tube. The CO2 will be so strong, the bedbugs believe they found a very large animal. I put the end of the tube into an old glass vase. The tube goes in as deep as possible without touching sides or touching the bottom. Bedbugs can climb out if the tube touches anything.
The source of the CO2 is so strong, bedbugs jump into the vase and can't climb out. I wrap sports tape around the vase to help them climb up the outside to the brim. But when they can't climb deep into the vase, they will just jump in and be trapped. Baby powder or talc is good in the bottom because it clogs up their hooks on their arms. They can't move.
