Get the roof sorted Sean before disaster! ! ❤
Sean with regards to the mould in the summer house Mix 50/50 water and white vinegar, vinegar can reach into the grain of wood to kill the mold roots (bleach can not). Either lightly spray the mold with the mixture or wet (dampen) a rag or paper towel with the solution and let that sit on the mold for 30 minutes, then wipe it off .
Absolutely 💯 percent!
And ASAP!.
Yep agreed! 👍🏻
I agree with the comments about vinegar but I wouldn't dilute it - in fact I would buy cleaning vinegar which is a stronger content of acetic acid.
Sean when you do get around cleaning the mold off make sure you where marigold gloves , safety glasses and a FFP3 face mask you don't want to be breathing in mold spores or getting a eye infection. When you're cleaning it off.so protect yourself.
Pure Vinegar, for washing off mold. But I think the mold build up realy quickly. The roof definitely needs to be sealed and then of course the windows put in... otherwise the mold won't go away and build up more. Everything needs to dry out inside... until that happens, nothing should be put in the house, or the spores will get into everything. And no painting till all is dried out and mold free or you have to do everything 3 times.
Grapefruit seed extract. Mold never grows on grapefruit.
@@romac9516 google moldy grapefruit
@@romac9516really?. Interesting... didn't know that.
A couple of vents with fly screens in them solved my mold problem. Sprayed the walls with apple cider vinegar and water with a tiny amount of washing up liquid. The vinegar is also an environmentally friendly weed killer.
I have trimmed a few door handle bars in my time. Take 1 handle off, exactly like you did in the video. Then, a junior hacksaw would cut off the 1cm that you need to trim. It’s quite straight forward. It’s held in place by the other handle whilst you gently cut through it.
Sean if you like the thermometer keep it where it is and put another in the shade that way you can see what temperature it is in the shade and sun. Especially since you don't appear to have a lot of shade. Also, I think a little roof out front would make a lovely porch with shade for you to sit and admire your hard work.❤
I love seeing the mountain behind your plot and wandered if any viewers who had an allotment had an amazing view x
A beautiful video, catching real people ❤good man 💃
Coat the ceiling in B.I.N. Zinsser to ensure the mold stains won't show through the paint you use.
Vinegar or astonish mold cleaner which is bleach based... but it's looking like black mold which is awful for your health so definitely get it cleaned ASAP!!
"out there like a whippet" 😂
after the rain, and after a cuppa Tea😊
But Donna packed it with Love ❤!! Is that some kind of red brick or tile structure in the ground in the area of future pond?
Piece of corrugated iron.
My morhers 97 and lives alone..she loves watching you and cant wait for your Xmas vids.. keep em coming Sean..we love you❤
Thank you Donna .Don’t be insulted .
You don't actually believe it do you? It's just a marketing psy-op to make you "feel special" and spend more money with them.
A lot of small businesses put that note in so you can tell them who boxed it shoddily.
It's not a small business and just a waste of paper.
You can cut the bar on the handle with a junior Hacksaw and please glaze the windows of the summer house and finish the roof off so it’s water tight. If it’s not water tight it will only take a few weeks / Months in the rain and damp to twist and warp the summerhouse. It’s a lovely summerhouse and credit to you Sean but it just needs to be watertight. Good luck
There are only a certain amount of hours in the day, especially in Winter. It will get done by the end of November and all will be fine, if the weather ever comes good.
Hi Sean with regards to the door handle on the summer house the spindle is easily trimmed with a hacksaw but if you don't want to do that screwfix amazon and ebay do a pack with different lengths in save messing around as for the mould white vinegar orr neat bleach if your not to happy to use that then h&g mould remover is a great product many thanks John and Angela
Maybe a small fire extinguisher would be a good idea,
You need some washing up liquid in the shed, and a small washing up bowl, just look at your mug 😅
Flavour.
Company's place an employee card in with a hand picked order, for accuracy.
It is a way of keeping a metric on all members of staff.
The real losses to a company often occurred in the office though, through maladministration, often causing pinch points in fulfillment, where you as the customer would see the item you wished for was currently unavailable, which is of course a complete loss of sale, and margin of profit.
Adds a personal touch to :)
Poor Donna 😂
Poor old Donna! I like those cards to say who's packed things, its a personal touch which I feel is sadly lacking amongst a lot of big businesses nowadays - and If she did a shoddy job with your rhubarb you could tell her where to stick it !! 😂 I insulated my summerhouse with loft insulation then boarded over it as it developed a problem with black mold. Had nothing since and that was 3 years ago and it's still really sound. I know its extra expense so maybe you won't want to do that, but I found it was worth it. I used 1 part bleach to 4 parts water to scrub off the mold then let dry. I have heard clove oil helps, I think someone might have commented on this further back but I haven't tried it myself. Great video as always ❤
Will try that with the bleach. Thank you.
@seanjamescameron just looked at the video again, I think you need to make sure the roofing felt covers the whole roof as well, I think water might be coming in at the point at the top of the roof? ❤️
@seanjamescameron Yeah that would work too or diluted white vinegar..
Typhoo used a gnu to advertise their tea (a type of wildebeest I believe). The chimps belonged to PG Tips. Used to love watching their capers on tv. I remember seeing them once at Twycross Zoo.
Often tec products are affected by air humidity, compounds of a volatile nature, and indeed, pure sunshine
You need a hacksaw Sean even junior hacksaw will do, remember to hold the spindle steady with a set of pliers as it gets very hot
Sean just like to say your summer house door handle your square bar in your handle all you need to do is cut a small piece off with a hacksaw but you will need a vice to hold the bar tight to cut a small piece off, refit then the handle will be flush with the door hope this is some help to you .all the best love your blogs ANDY from Norwich.
My rhubarb crown was given to me last November by a kind gardener. I’ve had loads from it, I’ve split it and given a crown to a friend plus I now have 2 crowns for next year. All for nothing😊😊😊
I tried every different Tea to try and help with my sleeping and they didn't seem to work. I swapped to milky ovaltine and it works so well
10 days of really cold weather coming up, here in Wales with a snow storm so you really want to get that roof sorted! Always try turning tech off and on again, it usually sorts out most problems. 😜
The Whittard packing is lovely. I would gave to say the box to keep package of seeds or bits and pieces. Another great video! Thank you taking us a long with you. ❤❤❤
Oh Sean you do make me 😆 Loved the drone view and please singalonga vlogmas 🎶🎶
Ronseal do a mould repellent paint.
In that case regarding the summer house lock, put a sliver of wood in the middle. When your next on internet look for the jacket with built in heat button or the bear skin jacket with loads of pockets.
Hello Sean, you can buy mold resistant paint for inside of your summer house, there's also a spray to wipe the mold off, but sealing top of the roof must be done before winter rain starts, to keep mold away, will you get a log burner, heat helps too, always watch your videos!
Yes indeed thanks to you Sean I use One Click Plants now, always pleased with my orders. x
Valerian Root aka goodnight herb, is good for sleep. You could even plant some on your homestead so you can make your own tea and its perennial, the bees and butterflies love it.
Will look into that. Thank you.
Chamomile is a great one too, the tea made from the flowers is lovely . Quite easy to grow.
@@Jenniejones60 Yeah, grow them both, start a herb section and mix your own tea blends!
Maybe an anti-mould/fungi shield, varnish or paint for inner roof, might help? Adding a pouch may block out the sun?
It would be fun to have a camp stove,to keep warm🙂
Although I did enjoy all that steam,,haha
I am afraid this message was written by Donna,;-0
Try a bolt cutter for the bar of the summer house door handle 😊
That box is beautiful
If you put a walking pad in the summerhouse then you could go for an hour walk everyday whatever the weather. Maybe watching one of those virtual walks. We all know the weather is likely to be grim for next few months.
you don't need to cut the bar in door handle the split at the side should not be there and the hole for the handle not drilled central and bar to long you need to contact them and get them replaced faulty goods
the frame of the summer house is not squared up correct that's why the roof panels don't line up
now you have your buildings up do a paper plan of your beds then it will be easy to see where to plant
it's all coming together and looking great 👍
That has been on my blog for a few months if you'd like to go and see it.
Door spindle needs cutting its a two minute job with an hacksaw or two second job with an angle grinder with a cutting disc , ask a local friendly DIY ‘er or a local car mechanic all it needs is about 10 mm off that should be perfect 👌 it might cost you a cup of tea though 🏴
@@PAULIEBOY1967 good idea
I love Rhubarb.
Hi Sean ,thanks for the video. The bar in the door handles can be cut with a hacksaw, then the handles will work better. 😊
Keep the videos going we really enjoy them.
Alan and Marian.
Battle East Sussex 😊😊😊
I don't like rhubarb cooked but as a kid i use to eat it raw with an egg cup full of sugar to dip it in. 😅. Always been contrary as me mum would say 😊. I'm no expert when it comes to building stuff i leave that to the man who can (the hubby) but a hacksaw might be what you need to shorten the handle thingymagig . 😊
My mother used to give us raw rhubarb with sugar just like you. We loved it. Not sure if I could eat it like that now.
Treat the mold with house hold cleaning vinegar 10% acidic acid . Google for info.
Hi Sean, you could start the Rhubarb off in pots while you decide on it’s eventual home. I split mine when it got too big for its spot last year and the second bit is still in a 50 cm pot as I continue to be undecided where to transplant it. Surviving well.
Mould, try and get rid before painting, maybe vinegar first to soak in a few days and actually kill the mould deeper it the wood, then any of thehypochlorite / bleach based mould remover sprays - some say that just bleaches the mould and the vinegar stops it coming back by actually killing it off and stop it returning. Looks like you will be prone to mould so get covered witha good top coat asap before it has time to spread.
And I meant to mention - you looked at a plushy type of blanket and said you wouldn't mind a robe of that kind of fabric. On Temu search for men's hoodie robe and many will pop up and we can think of you swanning around the little miner's house like a Welsh Sheik.
Yes, you need to cut the spindle. I have cut many in my time. Use a hacksaw or a junior hacksaw. (smaller version).
The hardest part is keeping the spindle still when cutting it. I have a vice, so not a problem for me.
Sean you need a hacksaw for the door bolt.
Mold wash with vinegar and water. Then stain or paint.
I bet Donna could tell you where to stick it lol
If she ever existed.
@@seanjamescameron To be or not to be, that is the Donna question.
@ianholt7284 It's the one million Donna question😂
Sean, you can cut the bar with a small hack saw.....if you were closer you could borrow mine..
Spindle bars from Amazon. Different sizes.
Are you going to put a mini shepherd's hut log burner in the summer house?
😉
Good morning Sean
That's a pretty tin the tea was sent in, no doubt it will be recycled as a seed tin or something!
Nice to see the old faithful orange jumper making a return appearance 😊
I was spooked by you saying the steam looks like a witches cauldron as I said it at the same time!
You are tempting fate asking where you should stick your rhubarb, but most of us know it was said with your tongue firmly in your cheek 😂 take care Sean 💜
I think small businesses are grateful for our custom and it will be Donna’s way to say Thankyou Sean. I still like ya though even if you are grumpy sometimes ha ha 🤭 Greetings from Devon 👋🏻
Marshall’s is an extremely large company but I get your point.
It’s all a load of marketing b….x ! 😏
You don't actually believe it do you? It's just a marketing psy-op to make you "feel special" and spend more money with them.
I felt a tad sorry for Donna. At least she got a mention. My son's girlfriend used to work at amazon, and they're worked off their feet on minimum wage. They have to pack a certain amount of boxes in a set time. My son encouraged her to get a better job, and now, she works for a pharmaceutical company. She's had several promotions, too. Xx
Phone the company and ask for Donna, they will say "Donna who?"
Hi Sean, thank you for another great video, I so enjoy them. Simple, calm and pleasurable content.
A axe saw would cut it. I remember once that i looked the shed key in the shed by spring the lock shut and went and went to buy a junior axe saw to cut the lock off that took ages and then bought two padlocks to look the shed and always keep the spet keys on a separate keyring in the house and only take the one set to the shed to unlock the two lock.
Sorry to correct you but there's no such tool as a " axe saw" for cutting metal or plastic etc it's a Hacksaw, although you can buy an Axe saw for timber/woodwork etc.😏
Sean you really need to get that roof covered👍
It is all finished, the video hasn’t been released yet showing it.
Why dont you put a tall post in front of the the summer house area then the thermometer will face north plus you will see from summer house.
That’s the plan so you can see it on the livestream video.
May I suggest a fire extinguisher for you wooden structures?
You’ve got some great shops in Treorchy. Shame your butchers gone. I’ve been trying to get Bungay unpasteurised butter near me and I think I’ve found a shop quite close😊.
Buy it direct from the farm and it is cheaper.
I have to wonder what would come of it if you bought plants online then planted them along with their ground up packaging. (Minus plastics, etc.)
Also regarding the door latch on the summer house - a hacksaw is the tool to cut that rod. A small trim will allow the latch handle to seat flat and turn without resistance.
Chimps were PG Tips ! 😂
Well their advertising didn’t work. 🤣
Mold killer spray from Bq then a anti mold paint
Thanks, Sean....glad you got your miracle drone fix...little daily miracles. And a box of rhubarb, potential and lush future blessings. It's going to love that soil,
Hey Sean what about planting the rhubarb in the new terracotta pots until you know where you want to put them?
Too small.
Omg you made me 😂😂😂 . Dont care Donna💯❣️🙏
Hi Sean, cut the spindle with a small hacksaw
You cancut thebarwithan axsaw blade ..home stead started to look good . About time the mug git a wash . Ahhh
Cowboy door handle, hold the manufacturers accountable..... wake up Sheeple.....Complain👍
Put a washer behind the plate on each of the screws to give the extra depth needed for the knob tonturn freely. I am concerned that the summerhouse is not wintertight yet. Finishing the roof and getting the glass installed (or adding plasticcwith staples) need to be priorities.
Love the rhubarb crown, was gonna send you a splitting off mine, for xmas.
Many thanks but I think 3 will be more than enough but thanks for thinking of it.
Hi Sean! One of my most favorite black tea is Murroughs Paned Gymreug.. I discovered this Welsh tea it in a import tea shop here in CA. By chance, have you tried it and if so, what do you think?
Will google it.
Daily videos? YES! Can’t wait for Vlogmas from my favorite UA-camr. 💕
A hacksaw or no grinder to cut the the bar down
Nice high street veg shop. I often buy Whittard's products❤😊
Never ate rhubarb, does it taste similar to anything else? Enjoyed the views of the river!
❤❤❤❤❤
Did you know rhubarb leaves rotted in water is good at getting rid of aphids? It stinks though.
Yes, pongs.
Hack saw for the door handle bar
Donna has packed the roots particularly well I would say. And maybe she takes pride in her work.
You don't actually believe it do you? It's just a marketing psy-op to make you "feel special" and spend more money with them. Phone the company and there will be nobody there called Donna.
Your rhubarb looks strong and healthy, think of all that rhubarb crumble you can make, beautiful. Lets hope the weather in Wales improves so you can finish off the summerhouse. Stock up with some food as the farmers are not going to supply supermarkets with meat and vegetables. Row with goverment.
More chance of panic buying causing shortages.
I can honestly say, im not fond at all off green tea x I've tried lots of there lemon ginger added ,not for me.oh well stick to yorkshire
Ah bless, I have had cancer so Green tea is now my go to. I used to love a real cuppa with dunk of a biscuit. Now, I don't do biscuits, sugar, and limit my dairy to the barest minimum of a rare occassional & special treat.
I know exactly how you feel x I'm drinking water. Unbelievable if still love ❤️ to like green 💚 tea to drink.
Hi. I tried leeks in my lamb stew and they are beauuuutiful. And I have got some purple sweet potatoes to try for the first time. I am planning another trip to Wales in early summer. Want to visit that castle you filmed. I would love to meet you perhaps I will be able to see your allotment 😊😊
Baked purple sweet potatoes are best or they lose their colour and antioxidants, shame we can’t grow them in 🇬🇧 or can we ?
Sean I just want to say your delivery, presentation, content and editing skills are topper and enjoyable, you come across as an Old Soul, and your posts come across as novel and genuine. I enjoy your dedication to allotment gardening ! Keep going just as you are. I love seeing your Waitrose Orders, shopping, Orders , and Too Good to Waste !
Loved seeing the drone footage of your plot, it looks more spacious and not so cluttered. You can see the distance between the buildings xx
Sean have you a friend with an angle grinder to shorten the bolt on the door. Hogn
John
Seal summer house with stain .Don't want to get sick mold is bad.
What is the evergreen tree the other side of the fence. Behind the shed?
Conifers.
I thought the silver one might've been a Korean pine which grow lovely large bluish-purple cones.?
Love your sense of humor
Vlogmas, will be like having an Advent calender. Although I appreciate all the extra work involved & sincerely hope it doesn't cause detrimental stress or burnout !
Paused, planted my rhubarb, back now.
How about putting the rhubarb on the opposite side of the cold frame. The side away from the shed
Good idea. I like it. Thanks.
A couple of great videos Sean over the last 2 days. Well done 👏
A basic hacksaw can cut that handle rod Sean, just a £3ish job from a hardware shoppie. Annoying though!
Seem very relaxed and chilled on this video, could it be the new tea you have started taking or something else you are not telling us about. Can't believe you did not buy anything from TGTW. Loved the music when you flew the drone, absolutely beautiful. Whatever you are taking it suits you. Have a peaceful day.
Hi Sean you spent alot of money on summerhouse make it water tight asap love the videos watching with my 11 year old grandson
