I just bought my sounboks go after watching all review videos to make a decision . I can happily say this thing is a unit however it does lack a little low bass , to all my fellow bass heads I’ve found a slight fix to this . unfortunately this will only apply to Spotify users for music. To get more out of low bass from this speaker even after you’ve played with internal eq is to change the eq settings on Spotify through playback settings . There is a few preset options to choose from and I must say there is definitely a noticeable difference, this will bring you closer to the jbl partybox bass . In saying all this in my pursuit for loudness I neglected stereo sound and it’s worth noting that mono sound from the sounboks go sometimes may leave you wanting more immersion in the music especially if your standing away from the front of the speaker. To whoever is purchasing make sure you play it at a fair distance away from the party to get the best sound area
@@spartan_a1176 I own both party box 310 and diamond box XL2 and they are both amazing speakers xl2 has more bass and more accurate bass and doesn't sacrifice the mids but outside the party box 310 sounds more balanced

in comparision, for me the winner is jbl310, more clean a deep bass (clean sub sonic frecuencies), more balance in mids and highs, the second place is for soundboks, clean mid and highs, flat bass (no sub sonic frecuencies, more mid bass ) and sony are mud.

I would like you to try my EQ settings on the GO, set the 60HZ all the way up, 150HZ on the 5th line from the bottom, 40HZ on the 6th, 1K HZ on the 7th, 2.4K HZ on the 9th and 15K HZ on the 10th and tell me what you think. IMO it makes the GO sound less boomy and cleaner.
I just got mine a week ago and it sounds much better in person yes the pb has way more bass but the go is way smaller, lighter and much more durable with much more battery life for me it was worth it

That sounboks sounds rubbish,and the price of it isn't reasonable at all. There isn't anything worse than mono sound. The 310 is clearly a winner here 👌

Tbh getting the JBL PB 310 with a Custom backpack from etsy is a way better choise than going for the Soundboks. This little big eartquake machine just dominates the soundboks in every way.
Check JBL's site everyday. I was able to get one yesterday when it came into stock again. It went out of stock again a lil bit after my purchase. I checked again late last nite and it was in stock again but this morning it was out of stock again. Just be persistent I guess and good luck.
Sound balance, clarity & separation are far better in Sony than that in Jbl. Jbl's sound signature is kind of jumbled & instrumental sounds are not separated enough. If both speakers are plugged in, the sound test will be justified as Sony tends to optimise its battery life rather than bass & overall loudness while being unplugged. Jbl is strong in case of bass only. But Jbl has 2 levels for bass boosting whereas Sony has megabass & sony music centre app for bass boosting. So, in maximum sections including price, Sony beats jbl easily. Jbl is only better than Sony for portability only. I hope Bass of Sony will equal if it's plugged in, megabass is turned on & bass is increased through Sony app.
ive heard both the 310 and the 700, both are about the same, the jbl has a bit more deeper bass but the 700 has very good base too. one or the other its good because its almost the same. But hearing the go compared to them i will not buy a go, think ill go with boombox 3 or extreme 3 if im looking for something more portable. but for now the best large portable speakers for me is the 310, 700 and the soundboks 3, price wise 310 and 700 are the best.

soundboks sounds like shit. the sony is the most neutral. and the jbl is artificially inflated which some people prefer.
jbl wins in sound, not that much tho, smaller size matters especially with this kind of sound quality

No it does not affect the battery while plugged in. It actually increases the power output of the speaker by 100 watts
