- Packing and shipping anything breakable can be stressful, but not once you know the proper way to do it. You don't have to put everything in a huge padded box, but you need to protect your inventory as best you can.

Always double box and double cushion when shipping glass. Seems excessive but would defend a lot more

@@djprakash1 chance for your question you package your item in a box with padding nice secure cushioning etc. and then you put another box around that with padding in it.
@@djprakash1 You can purchase boxes with a single wall, double wall, or more. He's referring to the corrugation. Also, when I ship glass jars I use a 16 x 16 x 16" double wall box, put peanuts in the bottom, then a box of jars, peanuts, box of jars, peanuts. Never have issues any more.
Hello! I just watched your YT video about packing glass bottles. OK, so you prepped them for shipping too Amazon FBA. But once Amazon gets them how do you know if they will make sure to have the bottle(s) snugly in the box they will use to send the buyer? Won't they get broken if Amazon puts them in a box that is too big? Thank, Susan
I believe that's on amazon and not the FBA seller, because I've seen amazon feedback removed for FBA broken items.

Quick question. If a product is bubble wrapped and the original bar code can't be seen from outside. Do I still need to cover the original bar code even though I am going to put FNSKU on top of the bubble wrap. Hope the question is clear.
How comes you did not use FNKSU label on those glass product in the video?
I normally just cover all upc with a blank label no matter what. I do this because I don't want the scanner to mistakenly scan the wrong one. Then I always place the fnsku on the outside with nothing covering it.
I didn't place one on these because this was just for the video purpose.

I currently sell on eBay & plan to use Amazon FBA for other inventory. I wrap my glass products with bubble wrap 3 times with a round cardboard carton on bottom. Then put it in a corrugated 4x4x4 box as though it’s ready to send. It passed a 4 ft drop and a kick down the stairs outside. Will Amazon allow me to put a “Ready to Ship” sticker on it? The box will not need to be opened and will be sending 50 items that way.

sooo when they do the drop test on this from 3ft up and drop it on 5 sides, your hot sauce is not going to break, right? I've yet to see anyone cover a drop test or how to ship to FBA and have your products prepared for a drop test.

You have to wrap the glass item with bubble wrap, then make a first of two boxes around it. I use scrap cardboard for the inner box, always. Then you pack the inner box into your shipping box with packing peanuts (lighter) or lots of paper until you can tape it shut and hear absolutely no movement. You can make your own corner protectors with scrap cardboard as well, this will also cut down on weight VS paper. The inner box or very well bubble wrapped item should basically be floating inside the middle of the shipping box, with padding on all sides, with the corners of the box very well packed out.
I have a 100 percent glass ship success rate on Marketplace and Etsy. I ship whole Pyrex bowl sets and decanters regularly. But I learned all this working at a vitamin company on the UPS line packing glass bottles. If you can't throw it it's not going to make it there, is basically it!
On the video: no glass should ever be that close to the edges of the box, even with bubble wrap and the air filled packing is horrible. I do not use it.

Question for anyone to answer. I have some glasses that are sold individually. They are replacement glasses. I wrapped and packed one that I sold and it cost me $6.83 to ship from east coast to MI. it ended up weighing 2 lbs for the one glass. I see others selling the same glass and they're offering free shipping or their shipping is a third of what mine cost. I bubble wrapped it and packed it with the air bags it just came out heavy. It arrived in tack which was good but I had to change my shipping cost because I under calculated it the first time. *How do I get it to weigh less?*

As another person said, some sellers build the shipping into the purchase price or if they're top-rated sellers (like on ebay), they receive substantial shipping discounts and sometimes pass those discounts on to their buyers by charging only what they themselves would have to pay rather than the retail shipping price.
I’d recommend try to sell them together I tend to stay away from thing where margins are small or it a pain to ship 🛳

Can you use newspaper crunched up if you don't have bubble wrap?
Mr Coffee it probably would be better to use bubble wrap but if you are going to use newspaper when make sure you package it with a lot of newspaper
Those will break in transit easily, you need to double box them or wrapped the bottles using more bubble wrap, also you needs to use a more sturdy box and protect the inside walls with styrofoamfoam. .
Yes, I'm watching this because I made a mistake of shipping some ceramics items like this, and THIS is how I did it. This is NOT the way you should do it.

I’m watching EVERY packing box video I can’t find . I’m a new seller on ebay. And I’ve had 3 sales and all 3 buyers contacting me saying their items have been delivered broken. I did my packaging just like this. But when your 3 for 3, I’m obviously doing something wrong. It’s been the most frustrating negative experience. I’m losing product and of course they want their money back!! I put so much care into packing these boxes. Bubble wrap, tissue paper, lined the box, use the peanuts , use the pillows.. IDK I give up!! I just don’t understand what I’m doing so wrong.
Have you tried doing a test whereby you bubble wrap a similar jar or bottle of what you are sending. For your experiment buy a cheap bottle/jar of something that has a seal on it. Bubble wrap items individually and place inside a box that has had the inside lined with bubble wrap. Bubble wrap the outside of the box and tape up. Place that first box into a bubble wrapped lined box making sure there is snug fit. Tape up box. Find a place where you can drop the box about 3 times from a height of 3ft or so. Open the box and check items. The bubble wrap used in this video was too thin and cheap. I definitely wouldn't use this. Use a thicker, stronger more robust type. Also, how about bubble wrapping the items individually before placing them in the bubble wrap jiffy bags before placing inside a lined bubble wrapped box. I really recommend the test of throwing the package around. Good luck. I hope this helps.
Use polystyrene. And don't put fragile tape on the outside of box.
I pack tough items as if they were fragile, better safe than sorry. Those air bags tend to pop and stop protecting the goods.

That’s funny I had a Halloween character he was made out of resin very lightweight I got one for myself I stood about 15 inches tall I had a pumpkin head and at the base where his ankles are it broke so I learned that even resident material that’s lightweight can break so I package the heck out of that thing and it was a huge box yes it was hilarious actually laughing how big it was
