The point you thought you were making doesn't exist.
Yes, Anderson's worst fights are worse than GSP's, but GSP's best fights don't come anywhere near the level of greatness we saw from Anderson's best. Lower Lows and Higher Highs.
"Welterweight was much better than Middleweight"

bronn steven technically it was 3 the other was a DQ
And Silva was relatively young and inexperienced when he fought those guys!
But he went on a massive win streak!
Beating Franklin, who at that time had 2 title defences (the most at that time) was 22-1! His only loss coming to Lyoto Machida!
At that time Franklin was on an 8 fight win streak with 7 finishes!
He then beat Marquadt, Hendo, Irvin, Griffin, Maia, Sonnen, Belfort, Okami (who was his last loss at that point)
And Bonnar, he has an amazing 9 title defences (should’ve been 10 but the guy missed weight)
He bounced around weight divisions, he holds the longest finish streak and longest win streak I believe! Dude was a beast and definitely needs to be in consideration for GOAT

Like most fans at the time, I honestly thought that Rich would never lose the title & would eventually retire as The UFC MW World Champion. I never even heard of Anderson Silva when he made his UFC debut & when he completely annihilated Chris Leban, I thought we were watching an exciting new addition to both the sport & the promotion but none of us, not even the most hardcore of fight fans could've ever have guessed that we were all in fact bearing witness to true genuine greatness at that very moment and when The Spider easily demolished Ace, it was considered a massive upset at the time. Both Anderson & Rich were brilliant champions & are unquestionably true legends of the sport, much love & respect to both of these genuine modern-day gladiators👏👏👏👏👏
Seeing Tim Silvia in Rich's corner makes me chuckle a bit because little did Tim know that a few years later, he himself would also lose his own UFC Title also in lopsided fashion & be utterly outclassed by the one & only Randy The Natural Couture who was actually calling the Rich vs Anderson 1 fight with Mike Goldberg that night.

I remember when Silva was the scariest man in MMA. Now he’s super humble and funny but I almost liked it better when he gave people goosebumps of fear with each walkout. That shit was intense.

This was a memorable fight. Franklin had no answer for the Thai clinch and he got thrown around the ring with ease. Ace had a good run as champ but Silva is on another level.

I remember seeing Anderson destroy everyone in cage rage when I was a kid.
But Franklin was killing everyone in the ufc, he was the man like billing his dominance on par with Matt Hughes at welter. They used to show it on bravo the next day I the UK I couldn't wait to see it.
I couldn't believe how easy Anderson beat him given the UFC hype first time I saw a UFC champ get smashed by a guy I'd seen fight in the UK. But then again nobody could believe it.

Trump Phone Call Colby thanks bro cage rage had some murderers back then I remembered seeing Ian freeman thinking, shit it’s the machine, who smashed Frank mir. Greatest uk MMA fighter at that time, then manhoef who I never saw before came in barking with gladiator shorts on, looking scary as fuck and put him to bed in about 20secs.
I first followed k-1 at about5/6 on Eurosport my dad(rip jan 2020) would put it on and buakaw and Jerome le banner were my guys. WWF before that, old tapes then saw ken shamrock in the ufc on the ultimate fighter and thought no one could beat him he’s the worlds most dangerous man, then Tito leathered him. I’d heard rumblings at school at about this cage fighting where people street fight to the death; I thought was bullshit until I saw it, and still thought it was bs after.
then Eurosport played MMA one night and semmy schilt got beat by Barnett that shocked me never did I think a k-1 champ at 7ft could lose to a fat guy. So naive I was to combat(my dad wasn’t funnily enough an Iranian and former wrestler until I was 14 I had no clue) it was actually all my idols and assumptions getting crushed that got me into the sport kinda weird. I more continued watching to watch the guys who beat my heroes get there’s.
I started wrestling and bjj at 15/16 and now I am myself a pro MMA fighter Darius mafi on UA-cam, crazy fuckin world.

I agree that judges often do a bad job but there are people who have a bet or something and are capable of doing something very bad to the judges.
