The resin flies are like jewels! Thanks

Hi Thomas,

All the very best Davie..
Davie McPhail a typical spent gnat mayfly with a red tag butt, seems to be the bees knees for lower lough erne in ireland
thanks
Hiya Davie Awesome Buzzer, you make it look so easy, could you please tell me what make of lite-brite you are using as finding it murder to split the lite-brite I am using made by Sprit River as its driving me nuts palCheersPeter.
Hi Peter,
When I bought the Spirit River Lite-Brite hanks I looked through a few packets for the straightest and longest fibres so that it makes it easier to tye these wing buds. If I couldn't find any then I would mix my own using pearl and gold though if you have any other packets that have a good fibre length then give this a go and you may be surprised how well it looks when coloured with the pens.....Another good flash to use is Loop www.looptackle.com/loop-accessories/fly-tying-materials/ Michael Frodins SALAR Synthetic Series. www.frodinflies.com/layout/list.php?p=2&gp=30&level=1&id=30 and even Mirror Flash which works well too..
I hope this is of some help to you..
All the very best Davie
Do you.use buzzers? When And for what fishes?
Hi aitor rodriguez,
I do fish buzzers for brown trout and rainbows on our lochs and you can fish them all season as they'll be on the water at some point of the day either by hatching or coming back on the water to lay their eggs...
All the very best Davie..
I share your channel wit my fishing friends. I was wondering if the same materials you show are available in the US?
Hi Carl,
I have attached links to website in America that sell a stretch floss and the lite-brite which would tye this fly...
All the very best Davie..

Hi Davie...me again😁 I've just got one more question, I'm after a really nice tying vice, do they still make the vice you use? If not what would you recommend....thanks in advance
Hi Paul,
Unfortunately the gentleman that made the Law Vise stopped making them a few years ago..There's many good vices that you could buy from companies like Dyna-King, Regal, HMH, J-Vise and a few others..If you can visit your local shop or even better go along to a fly fair or fishing show and you will see many vices being demonstrated so then you can choose one that would suit you...
All the very best Davie
Love all your downloads Thank you for taking the time to show everyone just have a question on where do you get your gold and pearl olive angel hair from
Thanks
Hi Paul,
I bought it when I worked in the Glasgow Angling Centre a few years ago and it was sold as Golden Yellow/Olive from Spirit River though you can also use Michael Frodins SSS Flash
www.frodinflies.com/layout/list.php?p=2&gp=30&level=1&id=30 or Loops Flash
www.looptackle.com/loop-accessories/fly-tying-materials/ another worth trying is Mirror Flash which works really well..I'm glad you enjoy the videos and thank you for the kind words...
All the very best Davie..
Thank you for your quick reply..... again can't say enough how great you are and how much I enjoy tying your flies
