Stella Vander is from French band Magma. She used to be a wife of the leader of Magma Christian Vander. I saw them 3 years ago in Boston. Great singer!
Hey, have you ever managed to come across the group ALASKA and their only recording (self-titled) I think from 1993? They're from Scranton PA, a region completely unfamiliar with prog, perhaps unfamiliar with anything not Van Halen, Zeppelin or ACDC (as far as the rock spectrum goes).
I wouldn't have expected such great compositions on the progressive electronic domains. I'm more of a jazzy prog fan, but hey, those dudes really knew what they were doing! Plenty of emotions throghout the full album! Some passages remind me a bit to the electronic side of the great Happy The Man band, and also Steve Hillage.
i am greek and unfortunately we dont have many prog rock bands at all here. though i have to suggest two albums, akritas album and 666 by aphrodites child. the second one is supposed to be famous but in case you dont know about it i strongly recommend it . cheers
My favourite is still Phos from the great Socrates Drank The Cranium. Good call on Akritas! I would add Axis, Iraklis, PLJ Band and the split album by Delta/Mov.
@@OceanTopographic I will definitely do mate thanks for your reply. The latest greek band thats not prog rock but I really like is dirty grannys tales. If you dont know them give them a try. Cheers
@@kostasmaziotis There is a band called "Axis", they have an album of the same name from 1973 that is pretty good. They are Greek. They have an interesting lineup; they have got 2 drummers.
I have a try! Please do not mistake Axis with their superb 1a class Prog Album also named 'Axis', with a heavy rock band that came later in the 80's also named Axis. The 80's heavy Axis have much more material, albums and videos on youtube. So it will perhaps not too easy to find the right album from the right band! The greek Axis album shows, in a CARTOON STYLE, 4 letters: A X I S and they stand on a moon. The 4 letters are the figures of the the 4 members of the band! When you see that, it's the right album!
Where do you find all this bizarre and arcane material?! I've been a dedicated prog head for over 20 years and I STILL have never heard of this before today! Can't say I like the cover but considering its age, it's still impressive!
Try Epidaurus, if you don't already know it. The timbre of the female voice is very similar although the delivery and the music style are different. Epidaurus is more prog rock than electronic.
@@memomontauban3178 Except that there she doesn't quiet "sing". I love Magma, but that's a completely differen beast thank this one. I would recommend Laurence Vanay instead :)
I took one look at the album cover and knew this was going to be superb.............I wasn't wrong.
This reminds me of the film Fantastic Planet.
The soundtrack to that movie is pretty amazing if you hadn't checked it out On here.
Wow...pretty good stuff. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before now. Thanks for posting.

"A" wife ?? Wow ! How many wives did Zebehn Straïn de Geustaah have ?
Sounds a bit like Cybotron with a small helping of Pink Floyd. Love this! 🎶👍
Very cool, now I have to find it on vinyl since iTunes never carries anything like this. Thank you for uploading
Un grand merci à toi pour cette perle ;)) Et tout ton travail ici ;)))
Thanks UA-cam for the indication and Progline for another jewel in my collection!
Brilliant album ~ Thanks for the upload.
Excelente aporte! Gracias Prog Line!
Rzetelna muza bez zbednego efekciarstwa.

Muy bueno,similar a Tangerine Dream.
I love this music, I thought for a second that they were somewhat in the trails of pink Floyd but I think I like this a lot more..
The first track nails it completely! Like Rick Wright drinking some orange juice in the studio and working alone for 45 minutes. 😁
