Rough Country is a low end brand. If you like the look of a lifted truck, it's fine. It won't hold up to any serious stress when you're off road. Basically, it's good to get you through some mud puddles, but rock crawling will break something quick.
how do you know though? 4runner don't really make great rock crawlers anyway. they snap CVs and can really can't handle much bigger than 33s without ruining the vehicle (more engine stress, worse MPG, less articulation.) unless you buy an expensive long travel kit they don't really make good rock crawlers anyway. Just a solid truck with good ground clearance. How bad are these shocks reallly? No ones really stress tested them. I'm running the stock KYB gas ajust and it rides super stiff like a tank offroad, but it hasn't given me any problems even with some offroad abuse.
@@jvogler_art4708 I ran a 4" RC lift on my 2014 4 door jeep for 5 years up until i sold it. Tons of hard offroading and never had an issue. Bent an axle but never an issue with RC lift. Just bought this same kit for my 3rd gen runner. Looking forward to installing it with some 33's. People shit on RC for no reason at all.
do the rear wheels look heaps more forward because the bumper isnt on? i heard you mention it in the video but at 14:50 the rear does kinda look forward a bit
Questions does ur front struts manual say 2.5” lift or does it say 3”? I bought the same kit and mine says 2.5 even though I ordered 3” front and back.
