Right?! Here's hot, sure, but it's the traits he shows here that make me relate to him, and actually feel an attraction deeper than the surface. (It's why I crush on him and not Dylan.) I'd kill to have one hour long talk with him, n share some smokes, cuz I relate to him so much about my own art. (hand made pencil works)
I am always amazed at how well-spoken and at how smart Cole is. Really really wise words for a 25 - year old. Very inspiring. Keep growing not just as a photographer, but as a person😊🤗

You have no idea how many times I’ve watched this video... I’ve never heard anyone have the same viewpoint on photography as I do. I’m a high schooler and all of my friends and peers on social media just take and post pictures that I find so dull. I want to capture something and show a message and create a feeling in a picture. I’m also a massive over thinker and I’ve got raging social anxiety so I also just constantly feel like I don’t fit in and I’m not carefree enough but art making and photography are my safe places and they make me feel happy. Also 100% agree on the camera thing, people think way too much about the things used to create something.

I love how she didn’t even mention Riverdale because it seems as if that show is the only thing that makes him who he is and people wanna always ask questions about riverdale and never even mention his job which is also beautiful not because he is cole sprouse but because it’s genuinely some good work and I feel like no one ever mentions his photography and that he maybe is more comfortable talking about this rather than talking about Riverdale

I like that he still looks so much like he's a teenager. Even though he is like 25... Seeing him talk makes me feel like I'm with an old friend. I think that's why I like him so much. That's why I love Riverdale too. It makes me feel safe, because I feel like I'm with a childhood friend.

Thank you for attempting to condemn nudity. Its a terrible thing how people call themselves photographers, when all they have is an expensive camera and a pretty exposed woman. This is not artistic, this is bringing dirt into art. Honestly, photography is not creating the beauty in someone by putting makeup on them, or adding pretty colors, or taking their clothes off. Photography doesn't need creation of beauty, it is finding the beauty, and capturing it. This is the true essence of photography. Its profoundly upsetting how this is what major photographers are known for know and days. If you look at the difference between Cole Sprouse's photography of people (especially women) and compare it to other general fashion photographers, then you will observe a distinction. His photos of women are not sexualized at all. They are fashionable and everything, and I personally enjoy his landscape photography to a greater extent. But, I am happy that a well known actor working in a sort of sexual show (no hate against his role as Jughead) doesn't carry sexualized aesthetic. Bravo, Cole!

But, you don't have to equate sexuality with dirt. If some women enjoy their sexuality and like expressing it in their art than we can respect that. Everyone has their own idea of how to express their personality/confidence, some people enjoy being conservative and others enjoy being risque. There is no need to shame their choices.

gonna be honest i clicked on this video because of Cole but ended up really liking the way Duan interviewed him. he felt so comfortable while talking. you just seem like a very authentic person overall.
This was such a great interview! I especially love the point he made towards the end about the female models- just finished reading Leah Darrow’s book “The Other Side of Beauty” as a former model & America’s Next Top Model contestant she speaks on this and sheds so much light. So good to hear more people (especially from a male photographers perspective) speaking truth on these issues

I really love his perspective on everything discussed in this video. He is just a native guy.. but also smart and a funny guy, I like it!
I know a lot of people have already commented this, but this video is honestly so inspiring. I've never felt so inspired in my life! This video is absolutely amazing, Duan. I got very emotional whilst watching this because as Cole was speaking, I started to connect with him on a such a personal level and everything he said in this video was what I would've said if I was in a video talking about Photography.
The fact that Cole was the very first person I could connect to on such a personal level, about Photography, is incredible and it means a lot to me. Nobody in my family is interested in Photography, so I always feel as if I have nobody to speak to about how much I love it and how much it means to me.
I agree with everything Cole said about how Photography can be used as a way of relying on someone's natural beauty and using it to sell the image, which I agree is hugely wrong and unoriginal. The whole idea of using a person's body to satisfy people is disgusting and wrong.
This is the third time I've watched this video now. Everytime I watch it, I just want to pick up my camera, go outside and shoot.

my son was dealing with depression and what Cole was dealing with and my son took up photography as well. It really worked for my son. He would go out for an entire day taking pictures in parks, rivers, the ocean, birds, you name it, he took them but it really helped his depression and mental stability.
Just like Lilli said he can't take appreciations and this video proved it 🤣🤣❤ OMG the first guy that made me think smoking cigarettes can be this sexier 😍😍

Duan, I’ve known your channel for two years and you never lose your positivity and I love you so much you’re such an inspiring person!
Every time either of them open their mouth, Cole or Dylan they push me to do things, they inspire me to do better, because they are doing the stuff I want to do: Dylan setting up his business and Cole with his photography. How can it be that these two kids known for an industry where you assume people are so shallow, are so wise and knowing?

I love his stance on photography...i studied photography in college and it made me realize that I did not want a career in photography. I take my photos for me, I capture moments that i found beautiful or inspiring and if someone likes them cool, if not oh well. Art and especially photography can be really personal, it’s a glimpse into your soul and how you perceive places and situations. I have been countlessly asked to do weddings and to date i have only done 1. The reason why i did it is because I flat out said if I am shooting your wedding I am doing it my style of high contrast black and white with a mixture of digital and film. The bride looked at me and said “I love your aesthetic and thats why I asked you.”
For me producing overly commercial work doesn’t make me happy. Yet at the same time to an outsider I have a more commercial body of work. Every photo I have ever taken means something deeply personal to me. I agree with Cole that its not your equipment that makes you good. Plus everyone has different aesthetics and preferences on what they like so you shouldn’t take it too harshly if not everyone likes your stuff. Do it for you and that will resonate through your lens.
Sorry for the long diatribe. I usually hate listening to people talk about photography, but he was blatantly honest...I appreciate that.

This interview is so refreshing, I love the way duan interview cole because she let him speak and didn’t talk about riverdale and all his acting, but talked about his hobbies and other work he does. hearing him talk about talk about how special photography is too him and then thinking of how many photos hes taken of lili and how much they have traveled together (like he said travel is in an important part of photography) and how many of lilis poems are about cole really puts it into perspective how much they love and care for each other

The more I watch Cole the more I admire him. At the beginning I though he was just a boy with a pretty face who had lucky on life. But he is so much more than that... he is smart and self critical, he loves what he does and he’s always trying to be better at it. Cole mentioned how he was in a dark place before finding a creative outlet in photography and I just hope he’s okay. I can notice the difference in cole and Dylan in the way they carry themselves that really represent the relationship with themselves. I hope cole is in a better place mentally and I believe he is if not, then he’ll get there. He’s so intelligent and has someone like his brother to check up on him and to keep him in check and vise versa. Very nice video, I just discovered your channel and I’m so inspired. I'm here really for the tips in photography, and not for Cole cause I'm a guy but instead, I got the best advice from his 2:58 and this helps me a lot within creating my own style and border as an amateur photographer :D
