Some facts and inputs
- 177 mm is the ground clearance
- It’s a single so there will be vibes nothing different from the Duke.
- You can get the Vitpilen alloys for 8k and get it fitted at the service centre.
- This is NOT an off road bike, saddling isn’t something you can do easily.
- The ground clearance and travel is identical to the Duke which means that the duke too can go off road.
- One can take any bike off road however this one ONCE again isn’t an off roader.
I took it for a 157 km (precisely) to get a feel of it with a mixture of city roads, broken patches and the highway and it performed admirably. The fact that you have 5 clicks to play helps you tune it to what you prefer or riding style. It’s a great bike for sure and something that’s a great option if one doesn’t like the design language of the Duke 390 or the general opinion folks have for the KTM.
I don't get the negative over reaction to spoke wheels. I mean Himalayan, Africa twin, classic 350, bullet 350, interceptor etc come with spoke wheels too
It's not like their users keep getting flat tires.
And btw does both of the alloys of vitpilen cost 8k in total or just one?
@@piyushmishra4694I am waiting on an update from the service centre. They had stated that it’s 8k I got delivery of the bike and it hasn’t disappointed at all. A brilliant bike the rear mudguard is something I will be working on, can’t seem to find any cons. The bike has done about 550kms since the week I got it and it’s definitely a great ride and looks brilliant. You have a valid point on the tube not being an issue, however I will at some stage do something to convert this to tubeless. I like the spoke looks hence won’t be changing to the alloys. The other bike I have had for over 5 years now came with tubed tires and I got the tubeless rims from the newer model retro fitted on that. It’s one of the bike your mentioned which is the AT. The Svartpilen is just brilliant in everything that it does.
@@leoncelestinedave yes I also prefer the Svartpilen over the Vitpilen because of the Dark grey colour and spoke wheels it looks more sturdy. Alloys ruin the look for me.
Yes it will be good to convert it to tubeless. Only the tubeless conversion kit will be the extra expense ig as the tyres are already Radial Tubeless tyres.

test rode it. Vibrates like hell..lacks low end torque..but it looks fantastic
