You are right. The tires do need to be facing the right way. Easy fix. Swap the wheels. Left to right and right to left. However. It won't help. The point of the video was to determine if the zip tie trick works. But I have to ask. Why wasn't aggressive knobby tires put on? There would be no need for zip-ties. I saw it. He also used the open diff before installing zip ties, then said he was gonna lock the diff after putting zip ties on. Whats the point of the test then? Of course it would do better with the rear diff locked, zip ties or not.

Same in Tx. Almost stuck the ol camry a few mins ago. Lol. I tied a 2in diameter x 6in long pine stick to my tire with an old extention cord. I climbed right out of the ice hole no prob
I’ve spilled more gas with the new “safety” caps then I have with the old school cans. I just buy the old school metal cans that don’t have the stupid safety caps Also they make “snow chain” zip ties for this purpose. They’re super long and have a 7” section with nubs for grip
All that work. Living in the NY I find it easier just to take a small stick or twig or a bunch of them against the front of the tire. Pine branches work good too. Best thing about using twigs and sticks is they are everywhere.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I study a lot of history... mostly wwii history. A lot of the time, if a jeep or troop truck got stuck in snow or mud, soldiers would take some branches and put them against the tires for traction.
