2:20 “fighting over a piece of shade”. Not here in southern UK I have to say. It’s been a windy, dreary summer interspersed with occasional brightness and maybe one calm day. Great review and gorgeous boat for over here, where it would stand out so well from the world of RIBs that we Brits seem to favour.
For a channel like this, you should double check your info before posting it especially the fuel burn/consumption! Also would like to see more of a performance of the vessel beside the interior. Still a good video.
I love Robalo's but for some reason Seafox seems to edge them out both in price and performance. A similarly equipped Seafox is cheaper, has more features and gets better mpg at cruise.
The test was done after a dealer meeting where the boat was ran quite a bit the 4 or so day before and we had some rain. In the testing conditions, I don't recall getting any spray at all, even when crossing a few large wakes. Pretty dry ride ;)
Trip's a good guy. Still looking for Capt. Steve though. If I knew he was retired, I would at least not start these videos with a sense of disappointment at not seeing him. Food for thought.
So happy you liked Capt Trip's review. We now have 6 new tests captains all specialize in different boats, two female, and three male, all own boats, and all have a lot of experience. Steve is no longer with Boattest so you wont see any more new videos of him here. All our new captains are here to help answer any questions - you can write them here: editorial@boattest.com thank you .
Thanks!!! When people make a change, sometimes it's not publicised much. But I did hear that Cpt. Steve has a personal channel were he did post about his moving on from BoatTest ;) Might be something to look up, I haven't seen it myself yet.
Bow design seems a little off - who wants to server food on a table that has been used as a casting platform?? Also, no built in tackle storage or cooler?
The man, the myth, the legend, trip smith. Great Video!
Ha! Thanks Ruben!!!!
Great looking boat! Seems to have all the boxes checked!
They are doing a lot of things right, no doubt!
Way to go Captain Trip!
Thank you much!!!

I hear ya! Maybe it could help keep you a little less damp on those rainy days..... Glad you enjoyed it!
Way to go Trip, love it!

No Trip Dip?
Ha! Wearing my professional hat that day 😉. There will be an opportunity for some fun in the near future though!

Yes, but how well can she do on a 100 mile round trip camping down the river? :D
That's the true test huh? I imagine it would pretty nice along the coast. Need to make that happen!

Got to make sacrifices when your boat is small.
error in fuel mileage again
