Today cotton ticking is on sale at Hobby lobby for $4.19/yard. 7/21/2023 (That's very reasonable, IMHO.) You could add a printed ruffle to make it seasonal. I'm glad you shared this, thank you. A Rotary Cutter is so much faster. I love it, I rarely cut with scissors anymore. As I age, it is so much easier on my joints. You could surge the raw edges of the ruffle prior to hemming. I think I missed it. How much fabric did you buy and how many towels did you get? I never did hear the measurements of the finished product. I know you used an existing towel that you had on hand. The information in the tutorial would be helpful. Thanks for the video. I never thought in a million years of making my own towels. I love cotton ticking. I just love the way it looks. You did lose me for a little bit at NEEDLE and THREAD.............I hate anything to do with hand work. BLEH
I just embroidered roses, in Pioneer Woman colors, on some tea towels. I have some of her fabric. A cute ruffle might be just the right finishing touch. So cute! Thanks for sharing.
I'm not much of a seamstress but you made this look easy! I just LOVE ticking. These would look so cute with the placemats I have in it. I love your little towel ladder..that is so sweet! Thank you for sharing!
This is such a well presented tutorial and so easy to follow. Especially the ruffle instructions! I am definitely going to make these now! Thank you so much for making this video. Love your channel!

Thank you Michele, I hope you enjoy making them as much as I did.
Agree, the corner on the back of the ruffle is genius. It gives it such a nice finished look, esp. if you want to sell them.
Such an easy tutorial to follow, thank you so much for this. I love anything with ruffles. Can't wait to make my own!
So crafty and creative, love these tea towels!! ❤
Thanks Angie
Hi what size is this tea towel?
I,m not sure I just measured it from another kitchen towel but if I had to guess most kitchen towels are 18” x 22”. ✂️🪡🧵😊
