Afternoon mate. Big fan of the channel and I can see that you’re making lots of progress so congratulations! I have been watching your recent videos and have seen that you have been spending a lot of time in Albert looms buying parts and showing your subscribers a true scrapyard based in Derby which is also the area I live in so was great to see it on the channel!!! I just wanted to let you know if you didn’t already know that Albert looms will be closing down for good. Very sad day for the car lovers and the history it has behind it. Been going there for many years with my dad, uncle and friends. Sad times mate
If there is one thing I hated about going around the scrappies for parts is the condition others would leave the cars in after they've searched or removed parts they needed.

Jesse that white Astra would be decent for parts in general. Think about the white VXRs (limited editions) that use the same boots, doors, skirts etc. I’d be stripping that down!!!

You need to go and have a visit to mainline salvage and recovery scrap yard, probably a couple of hours drive for you but it makes that scrap yard look tiny. As long as your wearing boots you can freely walk around, even sell cars with minor issues which are "to good to scrap" which are cheap.. definitely worth a visit mate and I think it would make a good video.
Would it be worth getting a used turbo for the golf from there if u only doing the trade up series
I used to love going to the scrapyard years ago, was my every Saturday thing, some great finds😉

I used that citrus pre wash on my e46 and it stripped the blue of my front bmw badge. Its good stuff but quite strong

A great old skool scrapyard you can walk around and take anything off cars from a bit trim to and engine is Harry Bucklands near Cheltenham it's also very reasonable

This is a really strange scrap yard. Ive never seen any scrap yard where ALL of the cars have been absolutely trashed! Parts taken off, obviously, but never where the cars look like a bomb has gone off under them
Didnt vw changed a couple of things with the 2007 mk5 model because in 2007 they also went from time chain belt to a normal time belt because of the chain would stretch out like after 75 or 80 thousand miles so maybe they changed the mechanism as well

The buyer may cover postage but if u know eBay then ur know they take a Chuck of every sale which is basically postage and tiny bit from from ur final figure. Add more to the price or postage so u actually get what u asking for. U still end up paying the postage tho

It's such a shame it's coming to the end of looms's😫. What other scrapyard will we all possibly use once Albert closes permanently😢. There isn't another scrapyard in the same league, majority go by part number and charge you dismantling fees rather than us being able to walk around and pick parts ourselves😢😢. Such a pleasure doing business with these guys

Silver golf doesn't look right at all. Unless it had a GTi badge fitted for some strange reason. But can confirm if it was a V6 it would be a 4 motion

Bmw engine cover for £10 is very cheap
You paid 80 quid for them side skirts why didn’t you try by them as you will probably pick them up for 20 quid from the scrapyard good profit
