Wow.. Manila Hotel is still so beautiful, grand & classy! It is Iconic! It should be branded as a Cultural Heritage. Thank you for showing it to us.. I'd love to visit one of these days & eat at the Manila Hotel's Cafe Ilang-Ilang. I also would love to see Gen. MacArthur's suite!

The Veranda room is really a great big suite with a great view! Too bad Cafe Ilang Ilang is still close… you would have enjoyed variety of sumptuous food.
Truly you are blessed! But beyond the amenities of a five star hotel, that place boasts of its historical significance. 😃

First, she is a very good camerawoman! Congratulations and you look dashing tonight in that outfit. I am tempted to try that place when I visit in mid-July. Sounds like it's Euro prices. Carbonara here in an ordinary restaurant is about that price anyway. I like the main course. You promoted Manila Hotel for free. Lucky you to have a friend to invite you for two nights. Kudos to her and thank you for this wonderful video. I've been there, in total, in the old days, three times, before they did the changes. There used to be a small orchestra too in the good old days in the 70s. Sad that they changed the McArthur Room. They could have left it the way it was for authentic history. His family lived in that place. Cheers!

One thing that I really like about some of your vlogs, Marshall, is that you make it a point to sprinkle a good amount of unforced creativity into it, made pleasant even more with a bit of subtle wit and humor...On the side, and I'm saying this with utmost compliment, you did succeed in exuding that James Bond-ish atmosphere at the overture. However, instead of 007, I'm seeing Ernst Stavro Biofeld more, played in the movie Spectre by your "almost doppelganger", the very brilliant actor, Christoph Waltz!...You truly deserve the treat to the place and the reception that's being accorded to you. by its management and staff. Wow--you lucked out, thanks to that generous subscriber! That tux fits you like a glove too! I love The Manila Hotel, and have had the pleasure of staying there twice, during visits to Manila. It does look spruced up although it's always fab. Looking forward to any tours of the suites that you can get. Even the gift shop was elegant, and I remember getting "the works" at their beauty parlor! I mentioned missing sampaguita flower leis, and the salon lady offered to pick me up some from Quiapo on sunday morning! A real old school elegant hotel--the best! Enjoy!

Manila Hotel is still beautiful in its classic and elegant way. And their lobby which has so much character and culture. They had one of the best hotel buffets at Ylang Ylang, imo. Enjoy your stay.

The breakfast buffet at Manila Hotel is superb and the bed super comfy, never had a veranda suite, i can hear a bit of traffic from a room overlooking Intramuros and love the orchestra at the lobby.
I now know what you were itching to talk about but couldn't. I am truly happy for you, Marshall, all the sacrifices you've done for the vlog finally pays off! I look forward to watching the McArthur Suite and Presidential Suite tours on your next video installment!

Marshall, what an entrance! You really look like Christopher Waltz from the movie Inglorious Bastards with Brad Pitt, especially with that tux! I had the Manila Bay view when I stayed there and it's beautiful at night with the only lights you see are from the passing massive ships. I'm glad you're enjoying your stay! I personally have only had the experience of visiting the lobby lounge, meeting friends there who were staying at the hotel. You nailed it Christopher Waltz, but as I commented above Marshall sure would have given Daniel Craig a run for his money with that opening scene.

This is vlogging with a classic and classy flair. Very nice! Thanks for sharing the beauty and historic grandeur of the Manila Hotel. I actually stayed 10 days in a suite there for quarantine. Really did not get bored because of spacious rooms and the beautiful view of sunsets.

That area of your room is where the Gen. Douglas McArthur suite is. Your patron gave you quite a treat as it's one of the bigger suites. The ordinary rooms are on another wing.
I hope you get to see the McArthur room. He lived there during his stay here in the Philippines and some of his memorabilia are still there specially his famous pipe. 😊😉 You look so GQ Marshall. You are giving 007 a run for his money. 😁

Stayed at the Hotel some years ago and was Mega Disappointed with the rooms there. Hope the Standard Rooms have been refurbished. Would go there again for a Meal or High Tea. But I wouldn’t stay .
